Samsung unveils The Wall 2022, its latest commercial micro LED display

At the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2022) exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung unveiled a large number of new commercial display products. The product is “The Wall”, a commercial micro-LED display available in IWB and IAB models.

Samsung’s The Wall 2022 offers the best picture quality with a user-customized resolution. The display comes with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits, as well as a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The smart TV brings HDR10/10+ support and it is available in maximum sizes of 4K 110 inches or 8K 220 inches.

Samsung’s The Wall features a built-in Micro AI processor that can handle 20bit color depth with Muti-View. The TV can process four dynamic signal sources on the same screen which is very suitable for commercial use.

The Wall All-in-One (IAB) model is available in three models – 4K 146-inch, 2K 146-inch, and 2K 110-inch options. All models are available in a 16:9 aspect ratio with an embedded thickness of 59mm. The TVs also come with an integrated S-Box media playback module and have support for splicing.

Samsung is projecting that microLED will replace LCD and OLED displays in the near future. MicroLED screens have several advantages over LCD and OLED displays, including being thinner and more energy-efficient. The microLED displays consume only one-tenth the power consumption of LCD displays and have a color saturation close to that of OLEDs. The display technology also offers self-illumination for a single light-emitting unit just like OLEDs. It also uses micron-sized LED lights to eliminate the backlight and color filters used in traditional displays, bringing the best display effect in its class.
