Sapphire has officially entered the mini PC market with the launch of its Edge AI series. The new lineup features AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 series processors and aims to deliver compact computing power for AI workloads, content creation, and productivity.

The Edge AI series includes three models: Edge AI 370, Edge AI 350, and Edge AI 340, each configured with different Ryzen AI chipsets and integrated Radeon graphics.

Sapphire Edge AI Series Specifications

The Edge AI 370 is the most powerful of the three and comes with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. It features 12 cores, 24 threads, and a Radeon 890M integrated GPU. The Edge AI 350 uses the Ryzen AI 7 350 with 8 cores and Radeon 860M graphics, while the Edge AI 340 runs on the Ryzen AI 5 340 with 6 cores and Radeon 840M graphics. All three NPUs support up to 50 TOPS.

Each system supports up to 96GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory across dual channels. Storage options include multiple M.2 PCIe slots for SSDs. The devices come in a barebone configuration, so users need to install their own memory and storage.

The mini PCs feature a magnetic top cover that allows tool-free access to internal components. Sapphire uses this design to simplify upgrades and maintenance. The case measures 117 x 111 x 30 mm and includes a black-and-gold color scheme. Ventilation slots are placed at the bottom and sides to help maintain thermal stability during operation.

In terms of connectivity, the front I/O includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an audio jack, and a power button with LED. The rear panel houses two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB 4.0 Type-C ports with Power Delivery 3.0 support, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, a 2.5G RJ45 LAN port, and a DC power input.

The systems also support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth through a pre-installed M.2 WLAN module. Each model supports Windows and Linux and includes VESA mount compatibility for flexible deployment. Sapphire has not yet shared pricing or availability details.

In related news, MSI recently launched the MPG Trident AS Mini Gaming PC featuring RTX 5060 / Ti GPUs and Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, while Asus introduced the ROG GR70 compact desktop powered by Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 5070 graphics.

Foxconn is already assemble the first 100 unit of upcoming Apple iPhone (this is the Next-gen iPhone) with sapphire glass screen.

This new prototype is replace the Gorilla Glass screen and APple is trying to using sapphire for their screen display. While sapphire is the strongest glass that can handle from scratch and drop.

Apple CEO, Tim COok has been announced during his interviews with ABC today, he confirms about the new facility in Arizona to produce sapphire glass for upcoming iPhone and iWatch.
