Xiaomi-backed Haylou has a new smartwatch in the market — Haylou Smart Watch 2, which has been listed online on JD.com. It seems that the official launch announcement from the company will take place soon.

The device is listed online for a price of 129.9 yuan, which is about $19, although the regular retail price seems to be 169 yuan (~$24). It is listed to come with features like 12 different sports modes and 20 days of battery life on a single charge.

The Haylou Smart Watch 2 features a 1.4-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and uses 2.5D curved tempered glass. The display seems bigger and better than the one found on Haylou Solar Smartwatch.

At today’s OPPO developer conference, Liu Bo, VP of OPPO, announced that the company plans to launch an IoT initiative, as well as begin the HeyThings IoT protocol, HeyThings IoT service platform and audio interconnection protocol. The Huawei children’s watch 3s adopts an eye-catching gradual design, paired with other equally appealing elements such as a porous silicone strap. The watch has an IP68 waterproof rating, which allows submersion in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes.

The Huawei Children’s Watch 3X is nothing short of awe-inspiring as well. Featuring a bounce-back strap, the watch offers a comfortable wearing experience even for a longer duration. The smartwatch market is seeing a lot of new entries in the past couple of years, but still, the segment is far from perfect. Most cheap smartwatches come with displays are barely visible under sunlight or are grainy and pixelated. The Cubot F1 tries something different by bringing basic smartwatch features on a sub $70 device with a display that is visible even under sunlight.

The watch features a simple LCD screen. In order to save on battery, the watch features a digital screen protected by mineral glass in order to ensure sufficient viewability under bright sunlight. There’s a backlight that ensures that you can see what’s on the screen even at night. It may not be a great solution, like the transflective Xiaomi Amazfit Pace smartwatch display, but for $60, it gets the job done.

The body is made out of metal and so is the strap buckle. The strap itself is made out rubber and feels good on the wrist. If you are used to touchscreen displays, then it might take a while getting used to the five button layout of the Cubot F1. As the display isn’t touch screen, everything is controlled by these five buttons, including display backlight, power on/ off, changing interfaces, and navigating through the interface.

The Cubot F1 comes with a lot of features on board and unsurprisingly, most are related to sports activity tracking. The watch features a heart rate sensor, pedometer, countdown timer, stopwatch, and even music controls. To be honest, these features have become standard among smartwatches these days, but for a watch that costs just around $60 and stays always on, its pretty good.

Zeblaze Mini Wear its small but mighty

Zeblaze, a China based smartwatch manufacturer has recently had a lot of success with their range of premium smartwatches at a very affordable prices.

The positive feedback from their previous smartwatches and the praise for their products has pushed Zeblaze to launch a promising new product named ‘Mini Wear’.

So what is promising about the Mini Wear?
The product leak does not reveal a whole lot of information, the previous Mini Wear had a 1.21-Inch IPS display with a resolution of 240 x 240 px. Hopefully the new Mini Wear will feature either a higher resolution screen at the same size, or perhaps a display altogether.
The previous Mini Wear was powered by the 2014 MediaTek MTK2502C processor, which by todays standard is a fairly outdated, Zeblaze has announced on their website that all of their latest product lines will feature the newest processors available from MediaTek, so hopefully we can expect a significant upgrade in this area.
Another area that we can expect to see improvements in is the battery,  the previous version of the MiniWear had a 200 mAh Li-Po (Lithium Polymer) battery which gave a pretty decent runtime between charges.

Another area that I hope to see improved is the range of sensors and functions on the Mini Wear, it would be great to see what they can add to differentiate from other smart watches on the market.

It is highly likely that the MiniWear will come with an IP65 standard rating for water and dust proof certification, as this has become pretty much a standard on smartwatches from Zeblaze.

When it comes to connectivity lets hope that Zeblaze include Bluetooth 4.2 LE (Low Energy) as it will pretty much be the standard for 2016.
So the Zeblaze Mini Wear is coming very soon, lets hope it continues to carry forward the Zeblaze design standard and that it has a few surprises thrown in.

The real leather strap helps to give the watch a really premium look and feel, Zeablaze have also looked at smaller details like the usage of stainless steel screws to prevent sweat based rusting that has affected some China based smartwatches in the past.

The Cosmo also supports a range of health monitoring functions, sedentary monitoring as well as being able to control several phone functions and provide users with a wide range of notification and alerts.

Overall the design looks high end and is visually pleasing, the changeable real leather watch strap should also add to the sense of quality and give it a touch of style.
