Rumors suggest that the company could be gearing up to launch the Moto E6 series. The Moto E6 Plus was recently spotted on Geekbench and today reliable tipster Evan Blass has shared the press render of the upcoming Moto E6 phone.

The Moto E6 image shows that its display is surrounded by thick bezels. The Motorola branding is placed on the chin of the device whereas a selfie snapper and an earpiece can be found on the top bezel. A volume rocker and a power key are available on the right edge of the device.

The topside of the Moto E6 features a 3.5mm audio jack. The textured back is fitted with a single camera and an LED flash. The bottom edge of the phone is not shown in the image. However, it is very likely to feature a microUSB 2.0 port and a speaker grille. The new image resembles with the leaked press render that had appeared in the previous month.

The Chinese market is lead by brands OPPO, Huawei, Vivo and Xiaomi. With today’s launch event that specifically held to announce Motorola phones, it is quite evident that Lenovo is applying dual-brand strategy to gain popularity in the Chinese market. It is interesting to see that Motorola Z3, P30 and E5 Plus that were unveiled today do not carry “Moto” branding.

However, there is still more news. The Moto G6 Play has been seen on Geekbench and it confirms some of the features we already know.

The device was benchmarked earlier today as the motorola moto g(6) play. It runs Android 8.0.0 Oreo, is powered by the msm8937 a.k.a Snapdragon 430, and has 3GB of RAM.

The Snapdragon 430 was announced in 2015 but we are not surprised it is still appearing in phones just like its sibling, the Snapdragon 625. Unlike the newer SD450, its cores are clocked at 1.4GHz and its GPU is the Adreno 505.

The phone scored 472 points in the single-core test and 1801 points in the multi-core test.

Even though it wasn’t built to support the new 18:9 displays, the Snapdragon will be powering one. Like the other Moto G6 devices, the G6 Play comes with an 18: 9 display but with a 1440 x 720 (HD+) resolution.

The launch of the Redmi 4X should not come as a surprise to those familiar with Xiaomi. It was already obvious the Redmi 4 will get the X-treatment after the Redmi Note 4X was announced.

With the addition of this new phone, we now have a total of four Redmi 4 devices: the Redmi 4A, Redmi 4, Redmi 4X, and Redmi 4 Prime. You can call them the Fantastic Four if you wish.

All four phones are well made and are priced at less than $200. However, even though they share the same name, they differ in lots of ways. So if you are having a hard time deciding which is right for you, you should read this to the end.

Redmi 4A

Redmi 4X black

Redmi 4

Redmi 4 prime

Display: Same but Different

All the phones in the Redmi 4 line come with a 5-inch display making them perfect for one hand use. The difference lies is in their resolution. While the Redmi 4A, Redmi 4, and Redmi 4X have 720p displays, the Redmi 4 Prime has a 1080p screen. That translates into different PPIs too, 294 as against 441.

If you want your display sharp and crisp, you should look to the Redmi 4 Prime but if you don’t care much for that, the Redmi 4, 4A or 4X is fine.

Processors: Different Dragons

Xiaomi has settled for Qualcomm chips only. The Redmi 4A sports the Snapdragon 425; the Redmi 4 gets the Snapdragon 430, the Redmi 4X has the newer Snapdragon 435, and the Redmi 4 Prime uses the popular Snapdragon 625. The Redmi 4 Prime is basically the Redmi Note 4X with a smaller screen. Nothing more, nothing less. So I won’t compare its chip to the rest.

The Snapdragon 425 has a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and an Adreno 308 GPU. The Snapdragon 430 and 435 on the other hand are octa-core chips clocked at 1.4GHz and have a more powerful Adreno 505 GPU. The advantage the Snapdragon 435 has over the Snapdragon 430 is in LTE speeds. The SD435 has Cat.7 LTE as against the SD430’s Cat. 4 LTE. That means you will get faster download speeds on the Redmi 4X.

RAM and ROM

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 ships with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Redmi 4X is available in two variants: a 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and a 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM. The Redmi 4 Prime is only available with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. All four devices support microSD cards of up to 128GB. If you want a larger RAM, the Redmi 4X or Redmi 4 Prime is your best option.

READ MORE: Xiaomi’s MIUI 8.2 Comes with new Ringtones: Download Here!

Cameras

The Redmi 4 line are all equipped with 13MP rear cameras and 5MP front cameras for selfies. The only difference is in the Redmi 4X which has a f/2.0 aperture for its rear camera whereas the others are f/2.2.

Battery

The Redmi 4, 4X, and 4 Prime ship with a 4100mAh battery but the Redmi 4A takes a dip down to 3120mAh. Since they are all 5-inch devices, battery life should be pretty stellar plus they all feature power efficient chips. However there might will be variations in on-screen time. The ones with the higher screen resolution may likely record less screen time than the 720p displays.

Fingerprint Scanner

Fingerprint scanners have now become a regular feature in mid-range phones. We have even seen them in some sub $100 devices but sadly, the Redmi 4A misses out on this feature. All the other 3 have fingerprint scanners at the back.

Price

Redmi 4A – ¥599 (~$87)

Redmi 4 – ¥699 (~$102)

Redmi 4X- 2GB RAM+ 16GB ROM = ¥699 (~$102); 3GB RAM + 32GB = ¥899 (~$131)

Redmi 4 Prime – ¥899 (~$131)

NB: Prices are MSRPs and not what you will get them from re-sellers.

Conclusion

Redmi 4A – cheapest of the lot but at the expense of a smaller battery and lack of a fingerprint scanner.

Redmi 4 – the fingerprint scanner and larger battery gives it an edge over the Redmi 4A. Battery life will be great too but probably won’t last as long the Redmi 4X.

Redmi 4X – has a more powerful processor in terms of LTE speeds than the Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 and also has a fingerprint scanner. The screen resolution might be the deal breaker for some. It is also the only other one with a 3GB variant.

Redmi 4 Prime – Best of everything. Compact body, higher resolution display, power efficient CPU, more powerful GPU, and larger RAM and storage. Basically the smaller version of the Redmi Note 4X in size alone.

If you do not care about the resolution, you are better off buying the 2GB RAM variant of the Redmi 4X or the Redmi 4. The Redmi 4 Prime is the one you should buy if you want to tick all the boxes. The Redmi 4A on the other hand is what you should get if you are looking for a second phone to complement that flagship in your pocket or if you want to get a gift for an older relative.

Moto G5

The Moto G5 is the smaller variant with a 5-inch display. The resolution has been bumped up to 1080p and there is Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is a Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB/3GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage with a slot for expansion.

The rear camera is a 13MP shooter with dual-LED flash and PDAF while the front facing camera is a 5MP OmniVision 5693 sensor. Motorola has also kept to the trend of giving the Moto G series a water repellent coating. It now also sports a fingerprint scanner.

The Moto G5 due to the smaller display also gets a reduction in battery capacity. It now has a 2800mAh battery with support for Motorola’s 10W Turbo Charge.

[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASpz0-PrQXs[/embedyt]

Moto G5 Plus

The Moto G5 doesn’t escape the reduction in display size. It is now 5.2-inches, down from 5.5-inches in the G4 Plus. Resolution stays the same at 1920 x 1080 and there is Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto G5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor, the same in the BlackBerry KEYone. Depending on the market, there is either 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage.

The Moto G5 Plus sports a 12MP Sony IMX362 f/1.7 camera on the rear with dual LED flash, slow motion video and 4K recording at 30fps. The front facing camera is a 5MP OmniVision 5695 f/2.2 sensor with display flash.

One new design you sure will like is the front-mounted fingerprint scanner. Last year’s square-shaped scanner felt out of place but the new one looks way better. It also doubles as controls for the phone in case you do not want to use on-screen navigational buttons.

The Moto G5 Plus has a water repellent nano-coating and a 3000mAh battery with Turbo Charge.

Both the Moto G5 and G5 Plus ship with near stock Android 7.0 Nougat and Google Assistant.

Moto G5 and G5 Plus Price

Pricing for the Moto G5 starts at 199 Euros (~$210) for the 2GB/16GB variant. There is no price detail for the 3GB variant. The Moto G5 Plus on the other hand is priced at 229 Euros (~$242) for the 2GB RAM/16GB model and 279 Euros (~$295) for the 3GB RAM/32GB model. There is also no pricing for the 4GB model. Both phones will be available for purchase in March in Lunar gray and Fine Gold.

As expected, these three are entry level smartphones that cater to the needs of budget customers. All the three phones are made out of 6000 series Aluminum with Gorilla Glass protection on top. They will feature laminated and polarized displays for better sunlight visibility and reading. There are single SIM and dual SIM options as well. Also, they will come with Google Assistant inbuilt along with a promise of regular monthly Android security updates. Further, the company will provide a pure Android experience on these devices, running Android Nougat builds out of the box. It’s worth pointing out that Google Assistant will be coming to many other phones in the coming weeks.

Details of the fifth generation Moto G have been leaking non-stop for the past three weeks or thereabout. We have seen press photos, possible pricing and specification details form a part of these leaks. Today we get a Geekbench listing of the upcoming device.

The Motorola Moto G5 seen on Geekbench runs Android 7.0, has 2GB of RAM, and is equipped with a MSM8937 processor (Snapdragon 430) clocked at 1.4GHz. The device scores 594 points in the single-core test and 2350 points in the multi-core test.

The reason why we think this is the Moto G5 Play is because of the processor. Last year’s Moto G4 Play sports a Snapdragon 410 processor while the Moto G4 and G4 Plus both use the Snapdragon 617. Earlier leaks of the Moto G5 already mentioned that it will feature a Snapdragon 625 SoC. That means the Snapdragon 430 is the processor upgrade the Moto G5 Play is getting.

The company is also said to be planning to use the springboard to launch the Nokia 6, which had been China-exclusive before now, in the European market and also to launch a modern version of the legendary classic Nokia 3310.

Already, HMD Global has confirmed its impending presence at MWC 2017 where it was tipped as planning to unveil a device with flagship specs. But according to a source familiar with the matter, the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are a pair of budget smartphones which would be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat.

Read Also: Nokia Nseries Phone Likely Called N95, Details Surface

On the specs table, while the Nokia 6 came with a 5.5-inch Full HD display (1080p), SD 430, 4GB of RAM and a 16MP rear camera, the Nokia 5 is rumored with a 5.2-inch HD display (720p) but powered by the same SD 430 chip but with just 2GB of RAM, and a reduced 12MP rear camera. The reduced specs will, in turn, lead to a reduction in the Nokia 5’s price tag from that of the Nokia 6. Also, the Nokia 3 is expected with entry level specifications and also a far cheaper price tag than those of the Nokia 6 and the expected Nokia 5.

One interesting news emerging from this rumor is the existence of a modern version of the Nokia 3310 which is said to be in the works. Though only a feature phone, the Nokia 3310 is one of Nokia’s most iconic devices till date. Launched around 2000, the Nokia 3310 came with a durable build, cheap price tag, strong and long lasting battery and several features that made it stand out. It is, however, not clear how Nokia hopes to reinvent the 3310 without messing up the reputation of such a legendary device. We’ll wait till MWC 2017 to find out more about that.

According to them, they had replenished the stock on JD.com more than three times but it still wasn’t enough. Now that the Chinese New Year holiday is over and factories have reopened, HMD says there should be more units available in the coming weeks.

The Nokia 6 is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD screen, a Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of ROM. It comes with Android 7.0 out of the box, has a 16MP rear camera, and an 8MP front facing camera. It is priced at ¥1699 (roughly $250) if you are able to pick up a unit on Jingdong. Resellers are however charging as much as $340 for it. For that amount, you are better off buying the Snapdragon 821 toting Xiaomi Mi 5s.

So you narrow down your options to three phones: the Nokia 6, the Moto G4 Plus, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Which one of the phones deserve your money?

Display

All three phones have a 5.5-inch 1080p display but if you care about screen protection, that is where the differences come in.

The Nokia 6 and Moto G4 Plus boasts Corning Gorilla Glass 3 but Xiaomi is not known to use any form of display protection for its Redmi phones, so you might want to steer clear from it.

Just because there is no screen protection doesn’t mean the Redmi Note 4 is a total loser with respect to displays. It actually offers a higher screen-to-body ratio than the other two devices and this is as a result of its shorter frame.

Software

This is another round where Xiaomi loses. The Nokia 6 comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and while the Moto G4 Plus comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the factory, there is already a Nougat update available.

Xiaomi on the other hand is still working on MIUI 9 which is said to be based on Android Nougat. It will be available later this year but there is no assurance if the android version of the Redmi Note 4 will change after the update. The reason is because Xiaomi is fond of releasing updates to its MIUI ROM but not updating the android version for some devices even though they get the new ROM update. So it is quite possible to see a Xiaomi phone running MIUI 8 while still on Android Kitkat.

RAM and ROM

The Moto G4 Plus and Redmi Note 4 are available in multiple RAM and storage variants. For the sake of this article we will keep the variants limited to 4GB + 64GB for the Moto G4 Plus; 3GB +32GB and 3GB + 64GB for the Redmi Note 4. The Nokia 6 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The good thing about all three devices is that they all support microSD cards of up to 256GB.

Processor

This is a deciding factor for a lot of people when it comes to purchasing phones. The Snapdragon 430 chip in the Nokia 6 is more or less its most popular spec as most people are displeased with Nokia’s SoC choice. It is clocked at 1.4GHz and consists of eight Cortex-A53 cores. The Moto G4 Plus doesn’t fare much better. It sports a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor (4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53) which was released back in 2015.

Xiaomi has gone all out with the chip in the Redmi Note 4. There is a Helio X20 deca-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz (2 x Cortex A-72 & 8 x Cortex-A53). So while all three processors will handle your regular apps and tasks easily, only the Helio X20 will be able to handle high performance tasks without any sweat due to its Cortex-A72 cores.

The GPU is also pretty important. The Nokia 6 has an Adreno 505 GPU and the Moto G4 Plus has an Adreno 405 GPU. Inside the Redmi Note 4 is a Mali T880-MP4.

Camera

The Nokia 6 sports a 16MP shooter with a f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual-LED flash. Up front is an 8MP camera for selfies.

The Moto G4 Plus has a 16MP camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. In addition to Phase Detection Auto Focus, the G4 Plus also has laser autofocus. The front camera is a 5MP shooter.

The Redmi Note 4 has a f/2.0 13MP rear camera with PDAF and dual LED flash and the front facing camera is a 5MP sensor.

Battery and Extra Features

The Moto G4 Plus and the Nokia 6 both feature 3000mAh batteries with support for fast charging but their batteries are small compared to that of the Redmi Note 4 which is an impressive 4100mAh capacity. Not the biggest in a mid-range phone but large enough to give you a few extra hours of screen-on-time. It also supports fast charging.

All three phones have fingerprint scanners but the Xiaomi is the only one with its mounted on the rear. They all have audio jacks but the Moto G4 Plus lacks any form of audio enhancement. The Nokia 6 comes with Dolby Atmos while the Xiaomi comes with 24-bit hi-res audio support.

READ MORE: Vernee Apollo vs OnePlus 3T Design Comparison

Price

Nokia’s first phone is heavily priced at about $250, a price generally agreed to be on the high side. The Moto G4 Plus actually costs more; priced at $269 for the 4GB+64GB version and $194.99 for the 2GB+16GB variant. The price for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 isn’t surprising as the company is known for its aggressive pricing. The 3GB + 32GB variant will set you back $150 while the 3GB + 64GB variant is priced at around $170.

Conclusion

The price alone should make the Xiaomi your choice but if you are bent on having the latest software version, you will have to consider either the Nokia 6 or the Moto G4 Plus. Just remember that you will be shelling out more money not only for the latest software but for a likely better camera, more RAM, and a smaller battery.

HMD Global released the Nokia 6 earlier today in what could be termed as a silent launch. There were no posters teasing the launch and up till this moment the official Twitter accounts of HMD Global and Nokia have no mention of the new phone.

That aside, quite a number of us are disappointed about the fact that the Nokia 6 gets shipped with a Snapdragon 430 processor instead of the Snapdragon 652/625 or even the more recent Snapdragon 653 SoC. While it does have a generous amount of RAM and storage, sporting any of the other processors mentioned above would have justified its ¥1699 (~$245) price tag. But the question is how well does the Snapdragon 430 perform?

The Snapdragon 430 is an 8-core A-53 processor built using the 28nm process and clocked at 1.4GHz with an Adreno 505 GPU. The processor supports OpenGL Es 3.1+ and has full network support. It is present in phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and the Lenovo K6 which were released last year.

The Geekbench results for the Snapdragon 430 processor in the has the processor scoring 630 points in the single-test and and 2742 points in the multi-core test. For graphics performance, the Adreno 505 GPU achieves a score of 7.1 in GFXBench’s Manhattan off-screen test score.

READ MORE: Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will Provide Better VR Experience Along with Great Battery Life

The Snapdragon 430 processor will handle your basic tasks easily. It will also handle some games well but might find it difficult to handle high graphics 3D games. The graphic performance is not usually more than 6.0, so the 7.1 score might be as a result of the Android Nougat the Nokia 6 is running.

The Nokia 6 is out of the way already, so we should have five or six phones left to be launched, one of which should have a powerful processor like the Snapdragon 835.

The Nokia 6 is made from a singe piece of aluminium. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and comes with Android 7.0 out of the box.

There is a Snapdragon 430 processor under the hood, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. The rear camera is a 16MP sensor with LED flash; and for selfies, there is an 8MP shooter up front. There is LTE and dual SIM support and Nokia has thrown in a 3000mAh battery.

The Nokia 6 also sports dual speakers that pump out sound from all directions making ”you feel like you are inside the action”. There is also a front-mounted fingerprint scanner in front that doubles as the home button. Flanking the fingerprint scanner on each side are the back and recent apps capacitive keys. However, from the video below it does look like they are backlit.

The volume rocker and power button are positioned on the right hand side and the SIM tray is on the left.

READ MORE: Nokia E1 Gets 3C Certification, Launch Not Far Off

The Nokia 6 is priced at ¥1499 (~$245) which is quite pricey though for a mid-range phone. While quite a number of people have looked forward to a new Nokia phone, the pricing for this new device might not go down well with them.

The Nokia 6 is a China exclusive and will be sold on JD.com. It should be available for purchase later this month.

The great news is, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A is now up for pre-order on e-commerce website Oppomart and the good thing is you can pre-order any of the two or both and have them shipped to wherever you are worldwide. Awesome? Wait for more. The Redmi 4A is on offer for just $89 while the Redmi 4 is listed with a slightly higher, yet affordable price tag of $119 for the 2GB + 32GB version while the 3GB + 64GB version is $40 higher at $159.

The Redmi 4 is available in two versions: a 3GB RAM+32GB variant dubbed the Redmi 4 Pro, and a 2GB +16GB variant which you can call the standard variant. Both variants of the Redmi 4 have 5-inch displays with 2.5D curved glass on top.

They however differ with respect to processors and display resolution: There is a FHD screen and 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 chip in the Pro, and a HD screen and 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 (same as the Redmi 3s) in the standard variant. Cameras are the same: 13MP on the rear and 5MP up front; and battery capacities are no different: 4100mAh on both variants.

The Redmi 4 has dual 4G SIM slots but you’ll have to give up one if you want to use a micro SD card to expand storage. It also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a MIUI 8 overlay.

Xiaomi has redesigned the Redmi 4 completely like they did with the Redmi Note 4. There is the 2.5D curve on the display we mentioned above, then the antenna lines are a lot different and appear more refined. The speakers are also no longer on the back but are now at the bottom, flanking the charging port. The camera and LED flash have also changed position. The sensor now sits above the fingerprint scanner and is flanked on the left by the LED flash in the Pro but on the right in the standard variant.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 had long been in the works, earlier expected to launch with the Redmi Note 4 but that didn’t happen. Surprisingly, the device’s renders and specs surfaced recently online, indicating its launch was close by. The Redmi 4 is coming just in time for the popular double 11 sales in China.

Design

Looking at the design, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 looks a lot different from its predecessors, sporting an all-metal body design with 2.5D glass on top to prevent the screen from scratch. The metal body was produced using CNC diamond cutting process and the ceramic sandblasting process was used on the back, giving the Redmi 4 a clean, smooth and refined body which looks more like a flagship device. There is also a fingerprint scanner mounted at the rear just under the rear camera and the device uses a tiny antenna band that was fused into the metal body using injection molding. The Redmi 4 is available in three cool colors namely, silver, gold and dark gray.

Specification – Xiaomi Redmi 4

On the specs angle, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports a 5-inch display with 1080 pixel resolution and quite surprisingly, there would be two versions of the device with two different Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. The high-end version is equipped with an Octa-core Snapdragon 625 chip and on this version there is a 3GB RAM as well as 32GB of internal storage. The second Redmi 4 version is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor and features 2GB of RAM as well as 16GB of internal storage on-board. Both versions have microSD slots for expansion of the internal storage. They both also pack a large 4,100mAh battery which is enough to ensure some extended hours of usage.

Further, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 13MP primary camera with PDAF and LED flash on both versions. There is also a 5MP front-facing camera for selfie shots. The Redmi 4 also comes in with dual SIM / dual standby support, entire network support including 4G, support for dual-band Wi-Fi as well as infrared remote control feature. On the software end, the device runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Pricing

The pricing of both versions of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is another surprise as the device still carries a relatively cheap price tag despite the upgraded, sleek design and powerful specs. The standard version of the Redmi 4 with SD 430 chip, 2GB + 16GB is priced at 699 Yuan ($105). On the otherhand, the higher Snapdragon 625-powered version with 3GB + 32GB carries a slightly higher price tag of 899 Yuan ($133).

Now that the 2-year deal (with Microsoft) preventing the release of phones bearing the Nokia name has ended, it is not surprising for us to hear about a new Nokia phone. We first reported that the Nokia D1C was found on GeekBench last week, this time around it has made its way to Antutu.

Antutu confirms the details we saw last week on GeekBench but reveals a little more. The D1C runs Android 7.0, comes with a Snapdragon 430 processor, an Adreno 505 GPU, and has 3GB of RAM. The screen size is unknown but the resolution is 1920 x 1080.

That was the rumour a few months ago. The rumour was later confirmed by the company during a press release. We also learnt a company called HMD which was recently set up will be the sole manufacturer of Nokia phones and tablets.

The exciting part of the news was when we heard that the company plans to release three android phones this year. Two of the phones are said to feature flagship level specs and the third will be a cheaper mid-range device.

That mid-range device appears to be the Nokia D1C spotted on GeekBench recently. GeekBench reveals the phone’s internals as having a MSM8937 chip a.k.a snapdragon 430, 3GB of RAM, with Android 7.0 as the operating system.

The result which was uploaded on Friday, 30th of September shows the phone scores 667 points on the single-core test and 3229 points on the multi-score test.

If you do a search for the device, you get 5 results showing the tests were ran multiple times with results for the single-core test ranging from 656-682 and multi-core test scores falling between 2745-3229.

If the Nokia D1C launches early enough, it will make it up as one of the few phones launching with Nougat alongside the LG V20 and the Pixel phones.

We are eager to get more details on this new device and hope Nokia launches this phone with vanilla android and push out regular updates.

The differences are in the RAM and ROM configuration. Where the Prime has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, the base model has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
Now, OPPOMART has just listed the Redmi 3S up for sale. The phone is available at a price tag of $119.99 and all variants seem to be listed on the website, including three different colors and two different storage variants i..e 16GB and 32GB. The pricing is actually pretty good considering that the phone originally costs $106.

As for the design, the Redmi 3S is identical to the Redmi 3 featuring a metal body and a fingerprint sensor at the back. As for the specs, the phone comes with a 5-inch 720p display on board with the new Snapdragon 430 chipset inside. There will be two memory variants, 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. On oppomart if you want the larger RAM variant, you will have to shell out $50 more, i.e. $169.99. Other specs of the phone include a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with PDAF, 5MP f/2.2 front facing shooter, dual SIM dual standby and a large 4100mAh battery.

The phone came with mid-range specs and is quite costly, starting at $355. However, despite its mid-range hardware, the phone comes with a premium metal body that looks quite good. In fact, the phone boasts of 99.2% metal in its body, which means metal lovers are in for a treat.

Apart from the premium metal body, the Ivvi i3 features an arc back, which ensures that you get a good grip on the device. Further, the company has worked with Qualcomm to improve efficiency of the device as well as use a special multi-antenna technology to enable support for all the three major carriers (full netcom) in China.

As for the body itself, the phone is just 6.5mm thin. In fact, at its thinnest point, the phone is just 4.2mm thick, which is pretty impressive. This also makes it thinner than the 6.6mm OPPO R9. Being such a thin device, the camera protrudes a little.

Everything at the back is symmetrical, with the camera sensor, dual tone LED flash and fingerprint sensor placed exactly in the middle. Coming to the front, the phone features on-screen buttons with thin black borders around the screen and camera and other sensors on top.

The phone is powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 430 chipset, making it the first in the market. If you are interested in the specs of the phone, you can read all about it from our launch article here.

The company just launched a new phone in the lineup, called as the Ivvi i3 and this particular model too boasts of a thin metal body. The phone measures just 6.55mm in thickness which is thinner than the recently launched OPPO R9 measuring 6.6mm. It’s lighter as well, weighing just 140 grams as compared to 145 grams of the R9.

Before we move on to the specs, which are quite interesting, the phone features a metal body with an arc design. The company has used 99.2% metal for the body, so there’s hardly any plastic. Further, there’s 2.5D curved glass up front. The phone is quite symmetric as well, featuring the camera sensor at the center. The flash as well as the fingerprint sensor follows the same symmetric design, placed exactly at the center of the back cover. The front is simple, featuring on screen buttons (but there’s still considerable space under the display) and the front camera and sensors on top.

The specs are interesting because the Ivvi i3 is the world’s first smartphone to feature the new Snapdragon 430 chipset. This particular processor was first announced back in September last year and now, it has finally started ending up on phones. The chip features 4 x Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz and 4 x Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.1GHz. There will be Adreno 505 GPU on board with support for Cat 4 LTE networks.

From the processor point of view, this looks like a lower mid-range handset. Qualcomm’s 400 series chipsets were never known for their performance, rather the chips in the series focused on energy efficiency. But interestingly, Ivvi has put 4GB of RAM inside this device, to boost performance to some extent. There will be 32GB/ 64GB / 128GB storage options which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD. The display is compact, measuring 5.2-inches but with just 720p resolution.

Then there’s a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front shooter with intelligent beauty 2.0 software. Other features include a standard MicroUSB cable, 2450mAh battery, dual SIM card slot (hybrid), Android 6.0 with a special fast software mode and 4G LTE support. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back as well which unlocks in just 0.1 seconds.

Now coming on to the most interesting part of the phone, i.e. the pricing, it starts at 2299 Yuan ($355) for the 32GB variant, 2499 ($386) for the 64GB variant and goes up to 2799 ($432) for the 128GB variant.

Overall, the Ivvi i3 is a combination of high-end and low-end specs. The phone features a premium metal body that looks beautiful in gold. Then there are powerful specs like 4GB of RAM, 32GB, 64GB and even 128GB expandable storage options, a decent 13MP + 8MP cameras and Android 6.0. But what’s surprising is the processor, which is best placed in the lower mid-range segment and the display which features just 720p resolution. Then there’s the pricing, which is pretty high. So, we can’t really call it a premium mid-ranger.

So, what do you think about the Ivvi i3?
