The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/11/alleged-poco-x4-nfc-redmi-note-11-pro-global-edition-fcc-certified-few-details-emerge/">listing</a> revealed key specs such as MIUI 13, NFC, and support for n5, n8, n38, n41, n77, and n78 5G bands. A freshly spotted Malaysian certification reveals that the handset will be debuting in the market with the POCO X4 5G moniker.</p>
<p>Tipster Mukul Sharma’s tweet shows that the 2201116PG Xiaomi device will be launching in global markets with POCO X4 5G moniker. The same device with model number 2201116PI was spotted at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) earlier this month. In India too, the device is likely to carry the same moniker.</p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>It can be said based on recent reports that the specifications of the POCO X4 5G could be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/20/global-redmi-note-11-pro-5g-tipped-to-feature-snapdragon-690-soc-miui-13-and-more/">similar to the upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G</a>. It was recently revealed by tipster Yogesh Brar that the Redmi model will be equipped with a 6.6-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to come equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>The device is expected to feature a 16-megapixel camera on the front and a 108-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit on the back. It is likely to run on MUI 13 based Android 12 OS. The handset may draw power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.</p>
<p>The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G global edition is likely to be fueled by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-690">Snapdragon 690</a> chipset. It may come with 6 GB / 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The handset is scheduled to launch on Jan. 26 in global markets. The POCO X4 5G could be a tweaked version of the Note 11 Pro 5G. Probably, the POCO phone may debut at some point in February.</p>

The listing suggests that it could be the Japanese variant of the rumored Xperia 10 III.</p>
<p>The Geekbench listing reveals that the mysterious Sony A003SO smartphone is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm chipset that is mentioned with its ‘lito’ codename and 1.80GHz base frequency. It scored 601 and 1821 in single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-371243" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench.jpeg?x10805" alt="Alleged Sony Xperia I 111 Geekbench" width="979" height="1108" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench.jpeg 979w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench-265x300.jpeg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench-768x869.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench-905x1024.jpeg 905w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench-696x788.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Alleged-Sony-Xperia-I-111-Geekbench-371x420.jpeg 371w" sizes="(max-width: 979px) 100vw, 979px" /></p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://sumahoinfo.com/?p=40324">Sumahoinfo</a></em>, the Sony A003O could be the model number of the Japanese version of the rumored Xperia 10 III. It is not easy to identify the chipset with its ‘lito’ codename, but there is a possibility that it could be a Snapdragon 600 chipset. Recent reports have claimed that the upcoming Xperia 10 III will arrive with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-690">Snapdragon 690</a> 5G chipset. Hence, there is a possibility that A003S0 could be the Xperia 10 III handset.</p>
<p>Last month, reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer released the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/21/sony-xperia-10-iii-cad-renders-appear-reveals-design-similar-to-predecessor-model/">CAD renders of the Xperia 10 III handset</a>. The renders revealed that it measures 154.4 x 68.4 x 8.3mm and it houses a 6-inch screen with sizeable bezels around it. The phone will be sporting two front-facing speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The design of the Xperia 10 III will not be vastly different from the predecessor <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/sony-xperia-10-ii/">Xperia 10 II</a>.</p>

<p>The rear camera setup of the Xperia 10 III has a 12-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto snapper, and an 8-megapixel superwide sensor. Sony is expected to announce the Xperia 10 III <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/18/sony-xperia-10-iii-tipped-to-feature-snapdragon-690/">in February</a>. It is likely that the company may announce the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-888">Snapdragon 888</a> powered Xperia I 111 flagship and the Xperia L5 mid-ranger with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/helio-p35">Helio P35</a>v chipset alongside the Xperia 10 III.</p>

<p><strong><em>Original story continues&#8230;</em></strong></p>
<p>Last year, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/htc">HTC</a> announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/htc-u20-5g">HTC U20 5G</a> as its first 5G-ready smartphone. The handset was fueled by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-765G">Snapdragon 765G</a> chipset. The next 5G phone from the Taiwanese brand could be the Desire 21 Pro 5G. Last week, the unannounced phone appeared in several live shots. Fresh information reveals that the Desire 21 Pro 5G could be fueled by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-690">Snapdragon 690</a> SoC.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://twitter.com/MishaalRahman/status/1349117858488471556">XDA Developers’ Mishaal Rahman</a></em>, the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G midrange phone could be equipped with the SD690 chip. At present, there are only a few phones such as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/11/sharp-aquos-zero-5g-basic-sense-5g-sense-4-and-sense-4-plus-launched-specifications-features-and-price/">Sharp Aquos Sense 5G</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-nord-n10">OnePlus Nord N10,</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lg-k92-5g">LG K92</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-363683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/HTC-Desire-21-Pro-5G-live-shots-1.png?x10805" alt="HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G live shots" width="750" height="1000" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/HTC-Desire-21-Pro-5G-live-shots-1.png 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/HTC-Desire-21-Pro-5G-live-shots-1-225x300.png 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/HTC-Desire-21-Pro-5G-live-shots-1-696x928.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/HTC-Desire-21-Pro-5G-live-shots-1-315x420.png 315w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>Coming back to the Desire 21 Pro 5G, nothing much is known about its other specs. Its live shots revealed that it is a dual SIM phone, and its model number is 2QAG100. Also, the device was found to be running on Android 10 OS.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: center;"><strong><div class="su-note" style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;">Editor&#8217;s Pick:  <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/12/xiaomi-mi-watch-global-variant-gets-available-on-giztop-for-139/">Xiaomi Mi Watch global variant gets available on Giztop for $139</a></div></div></strong></h4>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/13/htc-desire-21-pro-5g-likely-to-feature-snapdragon-690/">real images of the Desire 21 Pro 5G</a> revealed that its display has a centered punch-hole. Probably, the screen carries support for Full HD+ resolution. Except for a slightly thick chin, the handset was seen with slim bezels. The device seems to be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.</p>
<p>The rear side of the Desire 21 Pro 5G has a quad-camera setup and a dual-LED flash unit housed inside a rectangle-shaped camera module. The setup is led by a 48-megapixel camera. The other details of the smartphone are yet to appear.</p>
<p>It will be arriving as the successor to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/htc-desire-20-pro">Desire 20 Pro</a> smartphone from last year. At present, there is no word on its launch timeframe and pricing.</p>

Hence, the Snapdragon 765G powered Nord will be the only OnePlus phone in the mid-range segment in the country.</p>

The left corner of the phone’s back has a 64-megapixel camera setup, and its right corner features a quad-LED flash unit. Also, it is fitted with a side-facing fingerprint sensor. It is known that the handset is heading to the U.S. markets and will be available through Cricket Wireless. However, there is no word on whether other markets will be receiving the K92 5G.</p>

The listing suggests that it could be a forthcoming Nord series smartphone. A new report on<a href="https://www.xda-developers.com/next-oneplus-nord-5g-qualcomm-snapdragon-690/"><em> XDA Developers </em></a>has revealed vital information of a handset that appears to be a Snapdragon 690 powered OnePlus Nord phone.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-334348" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code.jpg?x10805" alt="OnePlus Nord Lite OxygenOS code" width="1150" height="141" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code.jpg 1150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code-300x37.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code-768x94.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code-1024x126.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code-696x85.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-Nord-Lite-OxygenOS-code-1068x131.jpg 1068w" sizes="(max-width: 1150px) 100vw, 1150px" /></p>
<p>Scouring through the OxygenOS 10.5 available on the OnePlus Nord, the publication could find references of a mysterious OnePlus phone that is codenamed as “Billie.” As shown in the screenshot above, the “isSM6350Products” method was associated with model names such as “BE2025”, “BE2026”, “BE2028”, and “BE2029.”</p>
<h4 style="text-align: center"><div class="su-note" style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;">Editor&#8217;s Pick:<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/15/oppo-announce-125w-flash-wired-charging-65w-airvooc-wireless-charging-tech/"><b>OPPO unveils World’s Fastest 125W Flash Wired Charging and 65W AirVOOC Wireless Charging</b></a></div></div></h4>
<p>The sm6350 is the part number of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/17/the-snapdragon-690-is-the-first-600-series-5g-chipset/">Snapdragon 690 mobile platform</a> that debuted in June. OnePlus phones heading to different markets have different model numbers as shown in the chart below. Hence, it appears that “BE2025”, “BE2026”, “BE2028”, and “BE2029” are model names/numbers of the upcoming OnePlus Nord phone fueled by the SD690 chip.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-334349" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names.jpg?x10805" alt="OnePlus phones model names" width="1310" height="484" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names.jpg 1310w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names-300x111.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names-768x284.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names-1024x378.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names-696x257.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names-1068x395.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/OnePlus-phones-model-names-1137x420.jpg 1137w" sizes="(max-width: 1310px) 100vw, 1310px" /></p>
<p>The letters “AC” in the model names such as “AC2001” and “AC2003” that belong to the OnePlus Nord is a short form of its Avicii codename. It is named after the popular Swedish DJ.</p>
<p>According to the publication, the letters “BE” in the BE2025/6/8/9 model could be a short form of Billie Eilish, a well-known singer and songwriter from America. The Bille2T and Billie8T texts seen in the below-shown screenshot of the OnePlus Launcher APK suggests that the smartphone could be available in two variants.</p>

The handset could also be coming to markets in Europe and India. The Snapdragon 765G powered OnePlus Nord starts at Rs. 24,999 (~$334) in India. The alleged SD690 driven Nord phone may start around Rs. 20,000 (~$267) in the country. At present, there is no official information available on its existence.</p>

<p>A OnePlus device has been spotted on Geekbench under the name “OnePlus BE2028” and it is not the OnePlus Nord. The Geekbench listing shows the phone has 6GB of RAM, runs Android 10, and is powered by the Snapdragon 690.</p>

<p>Yes, that is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/17/the-snapdragon-690-is-the-first-600-series-5g-chipset/">Snapdragon 690</a> and not the Snapdragon 765. The CPU details show the processor has an Adreno 619 which is not the GPU inside the Snapdragon 765 processor.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 690 was announced last month as the first Snapdragon 600-series 5G processor. It is an 8nm chipset with 2x Kryo 560 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 619L.</p>
<p>The chipset also has Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 and supports FHD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and QHD+ displays with a 60Hz display.</p>
<p>Based on the features of the chipset, we can deduce some of the specs of this OnePlus phone. For starters, it will have an FHD+ display. It should also have a refresh rate of at least 90Hz. OnePlus already said last year that all its phones will have a high refresh rate and we presume this will also apply to its mid-range phones.</p>
<p>While the official name of this phone is not known, there are speculations it may be the OnePlus Nord Lite. OnePlus already confirmed that Nord is a line of affordable smartphones, so any OnePlus device that is not a flagship will launch under the Nord line.</p>
<p>We expect more details regarding this device will surface in the coming weeks.</p>

If you want to know which processor is more powerful, you are on the right page.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-328118" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Snapdragon-690-versus-Dimensity-800-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Snapdragon 690 versus Dimensity 800" width="649" height="665" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Snapdragon-690-versus-Dimensity-800-1.jpg 649w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Snapdragon-690-versus-Dimensity-800-1-293x300.jpg 293w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Snapdragon-690-versus-Dimensity-800-1-356x364.jpg 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Snapdragon-690-versus-Dimensity-800-1-410x420.jpg 410w" sizes="(max-width: 649px) 100vw, 649px" /></p>
<h5><strong>Node size</strong></h5>
<p>The Snapdragon 690 is built on Samsung&#8217;s <strong>8nm</strong> LPP process while the Dimensity 800 is built on TSMC&#8217;s FinFET <strong>7nm</strong> process. A smaller node size translates to better efficiency, so MediaTek has got this round.</p>
<h5><strong><br />
CPU</strong></h5>
<p>The two chipsets are octa-core processors but with different core arrangement. The Snapdragon 690 uses a 2+6 core arrangement while the Dimensity 800 uses a 4+4 core arrangement. Below are their CPU configurations:</p>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">Snapdragon 690 = </span><strong>2x Kryo 560</strong> cores (<strong>Cortex-A77</strong>) clocked at <strong>2.0GHz</strong> + 6x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.7GHz</li>
<li><span style="color: #000000;">Dimensity 800 = </span><strong>4x Cortex-A76</strong> cores clocked at <strong>2.0GHz</strong> + 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.</li>
</ul>
<p>So which chipset has better CPU performance? The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/05/27/arm-arm-announces-cortex-a77-cpu-and-mali-g77-gpu/">Cortex-A77 cores</a> in the Snapdragon 690 are definitely more powerful than the Cortex-A76 cores in the Dimensity 800. However, there are just two of them whereas the Dimensity 800 has four Cortex-A76 cores. The higher number of performance cores, albeit less-powerful ones, should result in better performance for the Dimensity 800 over the Snapdragon 690. The Cortex-A55 cores are also clocked higher on the Dimensity 800. MediaTek wins this round too.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/16/samsung-may-not-supply-huawei-with-chips-for-its-smartphones/">Samsung may not supply Huawei with chips for its smartphones</a></strong></h6>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h5><strong>GPU</strong></h5>
<p>The Snapdragon 690 has an <strong>Adreno 619L</strong> GPU inside it while the Dimensity 800 has a <strong>Mali-G57</strong> GPU. Which GPU is more powerful? First, there is no benchmark result for the Snapdragon 690 5G but we can infer its GPU performance from that of close siblings.</p>
<p>Based on the naming, the Adreno 619L should be more powerful than the Adreno 618 GPU inside the Snapdragon 720G. But that may not entirely be the case.</p>
<p>Qualcomm is known to use a higher nomenclature for some GPUs that are not practically more powerful than those with a lower number, though they may have some additional features.</p>
<p>When we compared the GPU of the Snapdragon 720G against that of the Snapdragon 690, the only difference seems to be the Adreno 619L having support for DX12 while the Adreno 618 doesn&#8217;t. Based on this, we believe the Adreno 619L should offer similar GPU performance to the Adreno 618.</p>
<figure id="attachment_328009" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-328009" style="width: 550px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-328009" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Mali-G57-versus-Adreno-618.png?x10805" alt="Mali-G57 versus Adreno 618" width="550" height="251" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Mali-G57-versus-Adreno-618.png 550w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Mali-G57-versus-Adreno-618-300x137.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-328009" class="wp-caption-text">Mali-G57 versus Adreno 618</figcaption></figure>
<p>Comparing the AnTutu results of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/22/huawei-enjoy-z-5g-antutu-listing-reveals-dimensity-800-and-other-specs/">Huawei Enjoy Z 5G</a> which is powered by the Dimensity 800 and that of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/12/chip-battle-snapdragon-730g-vs-snapdragon-720g/">Realme 6 Pro</a> powered by the Snapdragon 720G (Adreno 618), the Mali-G57 is a much more powerful GPU. Even if the Adreno 619L scores higher than the Adreno 618, the chances of it catching up to the Mali-G57 are really slim.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Other features</strong></p>
<p>The two chipsets support Bluetooth 5.1 but only the Snapdragon 690 supports Wi-Fi 6. The two SoCs also support FHD+ displays with a refresh rate up to 120Hz but the Snapdragon 690 also adds support for QHD+ displays at 60Hz.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Conclusion</strong></p>
<p>The Dimensity 800 is definitely the more powerful processor when it comes to CPU and GPU performance. We expect more phones powered by the chipset will continue to launch but it may lose some of its share of the budget 5G smartphone market to <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm.</a> With the arrival of the Snapdragon 690, it should be the chipset of choice for manufacturers that will be launching their products outside China.</p>
<p>Some manufacturers that have said they will launch Snapdragon 690 phones are <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/HMD-global">HMD Global</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/LG">LG</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/motorola">Motorola</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/sharp">Sharp</a>, and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/tcl">TCL</a>. For Dimensity 800 phones, we expect more from brands such as <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a>/<a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/honor">Honor</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/oppo">OPPO</a>, and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/zte">ZTE</a> to continue using the chipsets. If you want to grab a Dimensity 800 phone, your options include Huawei&#8217;s Enjoy Z 5G, OPPO A92s, and the ZTE Axon 11 SE 5G.</p>

Now, Finland-based HMD Global has teased that it is ready to launch a Nokia smartphone powered by this new chipset.</p>
<p>Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/hmd-global">HMD Global</a> has teased an unnamed Nokia smartphone that will be running the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC. He says that the phone will be &#8220;truly global 5G&#8221; and given the SD690 chipset, we expect the device to be cheaper than the Nokia 8.3 5G.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-328037 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/nokia-sd690-teaser.jpg?x10805" alt="Nokia SD690 Smartphone Teased by HMD Global" width="616" height="563" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/nokia-sd690-teaser.jpg 616w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/nokia-sd690-teaser-300x274.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/nokia-sd690-teaser-460x420.jpg 460w" sizes="(max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px" /></p>
<p>There&#8217;s a possibility that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/10/nokia-9-3-pureview-nokia-7-3-and-nokia-6-3-launch-date-reportedly-postponed-to-q4/">upcoming Nokia 6.3 or Nokia 7.3</a> could come powered by this new chipset and is the one that the company&#8217;s executive is teasing. Do note that the company has not confirmed the name of the device yet.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 690 is an 8nm chipset that claims to bring about a 20 percent increase in CPU performance and around 60 percent increase in GPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 675.</p>

<p>It is packed with the Snapdragon X51 modem that brings support for sub-6GHz networks. There is also support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wi-fi-6">Wi-Fi 6</a> thanks to Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6200. It includes a new AI engine called ARCSOFT with Hexagon Tensor Accelerator.</p>
<p>The chipset comes with support for FHD+ displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for 4K video recording at 30fps and stills up to 192MP. Qualcomm says there is also a new enhancement for video encoding. The mobile platform also supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology.</p>
<p>The development comes at a time when it&#8217;s been three months since the company announced <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/19/nokia-8-3-5g-announced-packs-snapdragon-765g-four-rear-cameras-and-more-5g-bands-than-any-other-phone/">Nokia 8.3 5G</a> as the world&#8217;s first &#8220;truly global 5G&#8221; smartphone but the device is yet to be available for purchase.</p>
