<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Qualcomm</a> is set to release a new SoC, the SM7475 CPU, that will power the upcoming sub-premium smartphones. Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group Vice President and General Manager of the Redmi brand, recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/09/lu-weibing-teases-qualcomm-sm7475/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">teased the new processor</a> but did not provide many details. However, Digital Chat Station has revealed more information about the new SoC, including the possibility that it will arrive as an underclocked <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Snapdragon-8-Gen-1/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1</a>.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="800" height="400" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Snapdragon-7-Gen-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1" class="wp-image-521187" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Snapdragon-7-Gen-1.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Snapdragon-7-Gen-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Snapdragon-7-Gen-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Snapdragon-7-Gen-1-696x348.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure></div>

<p>Digital Chat Station claims that the CPU configuration will be identical, however, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 will have lower clock speeds and an Adreno 725 GPU running at 580 MHz, compared to the Adreno 730 running at an 800 MHz base clock found in the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Despite the lower clock speeds, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 is expected to outperform <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/11/08/mediatek-dimensity-9200-soc-launched-key-specifications-compatible-smartphones-and-more/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MediaTek&#8217;s Dimensity 8200</a>. Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 will be manufactured on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/TSMC/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TSMC&#8217;s </a>4nm fabrication node.</p>

<p>According to Digital Chat Station, multiple smartphone brands are lined up to launch their smartphones with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 chipset, and we could see the launch of the first smartphone powered by the SM7475 chipset by the end of this month.</p>

<p>WHYLAB, a well-known tech influencer, has shared on Weibo that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo smartphone could be powered by this SoC. The device is expected to launch globally as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/06/poco-f5-5g-variants-revealed-key-details-emerge-via-fcc-certification/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO F5</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OPPO</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo</a>, and other smartphone makers are expected to adopt the new chipset. Qualcomm and Xiaomi are both known for their innovation and partnership in the smartphone business, and the new products from both companies are expected to provide higher performance, efficiency, and connectivity for users looking for high-end gadgets at low rates.</p>

<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-neo-5">Realme GT Neo 5</a> was launched in China last week with some impressive specifications. It debuts as the world’s fastest charging phone with support for 240W charging. There’s also a top-notch display and a powerful processor under the hood. The same device is expected to arrive on the global market as Realme GT 3. However, it seems the company also has a Speed Edition (SE) of GT Neo 5 in the works. Here are the details.</p>

<p>A Weibo blogger (@数码闲话站) has allegedly shared the AnTuTu score of the unannounced <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/realme">Realme</a> GT Neo 5 SE. The handset is equipped with the yet-to-be-released Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 processor. The chipset has managed to get a score of 1,029,731. For comparison, the Dimensity 8200 scored 8,62,438 points.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="925" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-925x1024.webp?x44794" alt="realme gt neo se" class="wp-image-515215" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-925x1024.webp 925w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-271x300.webp 271w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-768x850.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-696x771.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-1068x1183.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se-379x420.webp 379w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/realme-gt-neo-se.webp 1240w" sizes="(max-width: 925px) 100vw, 925px" /></figure></div>

<p>Any other detail about either the smartphone or the chipset is not known. We might learn more in the coming days. Meanwhile, let’s check out the specifications of the newly launched Realme GT Neo 5.</p>

<h2>Realme GT Neo 5 Specifications</h2>

<p>The Realme GT Neo 5 sports a 6.74-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels (1.5K), a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 2160Hz PWM dimming. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with up to 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB or 1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, depending on the charging variant.</p>

<p>The 150W charging version packs a large 5,000mAh battery, while the super-fast 240W charging model gets a smaller 4,600mAh battery. The handset features a triple-camera setup with an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (Sony IMX355), and a 2MP macro shooter.</p>
