Shen has shared only few details on the Reno 3 Pro 5G which will be debuting this month as the company’s first phone with dual-mode 5G. Today, a new OPPO phone that has a model number of PCPM00 has appeared on TENAA. The listing lacks its images but has revealed few details on its specs.

The OPPO PCPM00 is not a 5G smartphone. The device measures 160.2 x 73.3 x 7.9mm. It is slightly thicker than the OPPO Reno 3 Pro 5G that is officially confirmed to arrive with a chassis that has a thickness of 7.7mm.

The Reno 3 Pro 5G is lightweight device even though it features a battery of 4,025mAh capacity whereas the PCPM00 phone that has been spotted has a minimum rated battery of 3,935mAh capacity. Its typical could be 4,025mAh. Lastly, TENAA has revealed the OPPO PCPM00 phone has a 6.4-inch. It remains to be seen whether it will be arriving with a punch-hole screen like the Reno 3 Pro 5G. Hopefully, the TENAA listing of the PCPM00 gets updated soon with its image and entire specifications. The OPPO PCPM00 is yet to appear on the database of 3C.

In related news, new OPPO phones with model numbers CPH2015 and CPH2025 were recently certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The listing did not reveal any details on the specs of these phones. However, it is being said that these could be the OPPO Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro 5G smartphones. Shown above is the render of the rumored Reno 3 Pro 5G that is expected to arrive with a punch-hole display.

Rumors have it that the Reno 3 Pro 5G could be debuting as the first phone powered by Qualcomm’s 5G chipset. The Redmi K30 5G that is debuting on Dec. 10 will also be powered by a 5G chipset from the US based chip maker. The Snapdragon 735 5G that will debut soon is expected to power both devices. Coming back to Reno 3 series, these phones will be the first devices from the company to arrive with ColorOS 7 based Android 10 OS. OPPO is expected to debut the Reno 3 series by mid-December.

However, it did not reveal the entire display. Today, LetsGoDigital has shared a new render of the OPPO Reno 3 Pro 5G phone to showcase its full front view. It reveals that the device features a punch-hole display.

Earlier this week, a leaked screenshot of an upcoming OPPO phone had surface on Weibo. The image had revealed that the said phone may come with a punch-hole display as there was an unused area in the UI at the top-left corner. The aforementioned publication has shared a render of the Reno 3 Pro 5G.

As it can be seen in the render below, it features a punch-hole at the top-left corner of the screen. The side bezels of the phone appear almost non-existent as the screen curve towards the edges. The upper and lower bezels of the phone are also thin. This indicates that the phone will boast a very high screen-to-body ratio. It is speculated that the phone could be housing a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

The new leak has no new information on the specifications of the Reno 3 Pro 5G. As OPPO VP Brian She revealed, the device is equipped with a 7.7mm chassis with a glass rear. The device is equipped with a 4.,025mAh battery that will probably arrive with fast charging support. It will be a dual-mode 5G smartphone that could be powered by the Snapdragon 735 5G chipset. As it is known, it will be the first phone to arrive with ColorOS 7 UI preinstalled. Probably, the handset will boot to Android 10 OS.

The display punch-hole could be housing a 32-megapixel selfie snapper. The rear shell of the phone may house a quad camera setup with a 60-megapixel main lens. The device may come with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. Hopefully, the company will also unveil the Reno 3 smartphone alongside the Reno 3 Pro in the coming month.

Hopefully, the smartphone will appear on the database of China’s TENAA regulatory body

The launch date of the phone is currently a secret, but the Chinese firm is expected to confirm on it soon. Most of the 5G phones that are available in China are flagship devices. It will be debuting as the first phone with the company’s all new ColorOS 7 UI. Today, OPPO VP Brian Shen released the first teaser of the Reno 3 Pro 5G smartphone to reveal that it will be arriving with a slightly curved display. Shen has claimed that it may debut as the slimmest dual-mode 5G enabled smartphone in China.

In the below shown image, the display of the Reno 3 Pro 5G can be seen curving towards its edge. Shen has revealed that the thickness of the device is only 7.7mm. The predecessor Reno2 had come with a notch-less display and it featured a shark-fin shaped pop-up camera module that housed a selfie camera and an LED flash. It had a thickness of 9.5mm.

Editor’s Pick: Oppo ColorOS 7 Launched in India with Riding Mode, Localised Features and More

The company has drastically reduced the thickness of the Reno3 Pro 5G to only 7.7mm. This seems to have been achieved by axing the shark-fin shaped pop-up camera system. While the top-left corner of the phone is not shown in the first teaser of the Reno 3 Pro 5G, a leaked screenshot that surfaced yesterday revealed that it could be arriving with a punch-hole display design. The thin-shaped power button can be seen on the right edge of the device. It seems to be featuring a notification LED. The volume rocker could be lodged on the left side of the device. While the entire display is not visible, it could be featuring an in-screen fingerprint reader.

OPPO Reno 3 5G Specifications

Previous reports have revealed that the OPPO Reno 3 5G will come equipped with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels full HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It may offer 90Hz refresh rate. The Reno 3 5G may debut as the first phone fueled by the Snapdragon 735 5G SoC. It may come with up to 8 GB of RAM and storage editions like 128 GB and 256 GB.

The OPPO Reno 3 5G could be backed by a 4,500mAh battery coupled with VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. The two storage versions of the phone may cost 3,299 Yuan (~$469) and 3,599 Yuan (~$512) in China. There is no information available on the specs of the Reno 3 Pro 5G phone.

Realme X50 5G Specifications [Rumored]

According to the new leak, the Realme X50 5G will be featuring a S-AMOLED display of 6.44 inches that will offer 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 735 5G chipset is yet to go official. However, the leak states that the SD735 will be fueling the smartphone. The rear shell of the phone is expected to house a quad camera setup with Sony IMX686 60-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and another 2-megapixel portrait lens.

For shooting selfies, the device will feature 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The device will draw power from a 4,500mAh battery and carry support for Super VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. It could be the first phone from the company to arrive with wireless charging support. The expected variants of the Realme X50 5G include 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.

Realme X50 Lite (Youth Edition) 5G Specifications [Rumored]

The same leak states that the Realme X50 Lite (Youth Edition) 5G will be featuring a larger 6.55-inch IPS LCD display by JDI that will support the regular 60Hz refresh rate. The handset will be powered by MediaTek MT6885 5G that is yet to go official. It will be also flaunting a quad camera setup on its back. It will include a 16-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel portrait lens.

The Realme X50 Lite (Youth Edition) 5G may feature a single front-facing camera of 32-megapixel. Probably, the phone will be featuring a single punch-hole on its display. The X50 Lite 5G will be featuring a massive 5,000mAh battery that will support VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. The device may arrive in China in variants such as 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.

The leak has no information on the pricing of the Realme X50 5G and Realme X50 Lite Youth Edition 5G. Probably, the latter may debut as the cheapest 5G phone in China. Readers are recommended to take the report with a pinch of salt as the authenticity of the leak could not be confirmed.

In related news, an Indian tipster has revealed that a new Realme phone that has a model number of RMX2030 has received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in India. It is speculated that it could be the Realme X50 5G that may debut in India next year. Probably, the country will only receive its 4G edition as 5G networks are not yet ready.

On Nov. 20, OPPO had unveiled the all new ColorOS 7. The Chinese firm confirmed at the event the OPPO Reno 3 will be the first OPPO phone to arrive with ColorOS 7 preloaded. Since OPPO and Qualcomm are said to partner to launch a dual-mode 5G phone in December, it is speculated that the Reno 3 will be announced in the coming month. A screenshot of the purported OPPO Reno 3 5G phone has appeared. It suggests that the phone is equipped with a punch-hole display.

OPPO Reno 3 screenshot

As it can be seen in the image above, there is an unused portion on the upper-left corner of the interface of the OPPO Reno 3. This suggests that there could be a punch-hole at the said corner of the phone’s display. The screenshot also suggests that both the SIM slots of the Reno 3 will carry support for 5G SIMs. OPPO hasn’t launched a phone with punch-hole display yet. The Reno 3 could be first OPPO phone to arrive with the new display design. It is speculated that the phone could be featuring a Samsung AMOLED display. The predecessor Reno 2 came with in-display fingerprint reader. Hopefully, the successor model will be also equipped with it.

Its screen is expected to deliver 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 735 5G chipset that is yet to go official could be present under its hood along with 8 GB of RAM. The device may hit the Chinese markets in 128 GB and 256 GB UFS 2.1 storage choices.

None of the technical specifications of the X50 5G are currently known. Considering the recent teasers, it is possible that Realme might launch the smartphone in China by the end of December. Qualcomm will officially reveal its dual-mode flagship SoC between December 3 and 5 at the Snapdragon Tech Summit. It could be debuting as Snapdragon 865 chipset. Realme is expected to launch the X50 5G shortly after the event.

Reports that surfaced earlier this year had claimed that Realme could use an SD700-series SoC to power the X50. Things are adding up as the launch date approaches, and it is likely that Realme plans to use the SD735 under the hood of the X50 5G. Rumors further suggest that Realme could also be working on an X50 Pro, featuring the flagship SD865 SoC. However, readers are advised to digest this information with a pinch of salt, as there has been no official confirmation on the subject as of yet.

Interestingly, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing had recently said through a Weibo post that the Redmi K30 will launch next year. Probably, the Redmi K30 will break cover next month whereas the advanced Redmi K30 Pro may debut in early 2020.

At the recently held China Mobile Global Partners Conference Jun had stated that all Xiaomi phones priced above 2,000 Yuan (~$285) will arrive with 5G support. He had also revealed that the company will launch at least 10 5G phones in 2020. The Chinese firm will debut affordable 5G phones in the first half of the coming year.

Editor’s Pick: Xiaomi eBook Reader goes on crowdfunding from November 20 for 579 yuan ($83)

Redmi K30 will be the first Xiaomi phone to support standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) dual-mode 5G. It adopts a pill-shaped punch-hole display design since it features dual front-facing cameras. The Redmi K30 will be the company’s first phone to come with a punch-hole display.

Weibing has said that Redmi has used the punch-hole display technology as it has matured and has been stable. A leaked image of the man holding a mysterious phone with an elliptical cutout for the dual selfie cameras had appeared recently on Weibo. It was believed to be the Redmi K30. There are no leaks on the other specs of the phone.

The Redmi K30 is expected to come equipped with a MediaTek 5G chipset. However, there is a possibility that the company may use a Qualcomm 5G chipset instead. The reason behind it is that when Qualcomm had announced the first Snapdragon 7 series dual-mode 5G SoC through a Weibo post, Redmi had reposted it and stated that Redmi will be launching the first batch of products featuring the chipset. This suggested that the Redmi K30 5G could be equipped with the rumored Snapdragon 735 5G chipset.

Based on the reports surrounding the Nokia 8.2, it can be said that it won’t be a flagship but an upper mid-range phone. Previous reports had claimed that the Nokia 8.2 may arrive in two variants – a 4G LTE edition and a 5G variant. A fresh report on Nokia Power User claims that Nokia 8.2 will only arrive in 5G version and it may debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 tech trade show in February next year.

The report claims just as the company dropped the idea of releasing two variants of the same phone as it did with Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus by launching only Nokia 6.2, it will use the strategy with Nokia 8.2. There is also a possibility that the Nokia 8.2 may arrive in the market with a different moniker. Whatever the name of the device will be, it may come only in a single 5G edition at MWC 2020.

Nokia 8.2 Specifications (Rumored)

The Nokia 8.2 5G could be the first Nokia phone to sport a notch-less display and a pop-up selfie camera. It is speculated that it could be equipped with a selfie shooter of 32-megapixel for capturing selfie shots. Qualcomm is yet to announce Snapdragon 735. The SoC is said to be the successor of the 8nm Snapdragon 730 that is currently the next best SoC after the flagship Snapdragon 8XX SoC lineup from the U.S. based chip market. The SD735 is expected to come equipped with a 5G modem.

The Nokia 8.2 5G may arrive in the market in three variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. By this, it may debut as the first smartphone from the Finnish firm with 8 GB of RAM. The rear shell of the Nokia 8.2 5G could be featuring a round-shaped quad camera system with a primary sensor of 64-megapixel.

The Nokia 8.2 5G will be an attempt from the company of making a 5G phone available at an affordable price tag. It is rumored to debut with a price tag of around $500 in the U.S.

According to the latest round of rumors, it appears OPPO is gearing up to introduce another smartphone called OPPO Reno 3. The details regarding price and specifications of the alleged phone have surfaced on Weibo.

OPPO Reno 3 Specifications and Price (Rumored)

The OPPO Reno 3 allegedly flaunts a 6.5-inch AMOLED display that supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display carries support for 90Hz refresh rate and it is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone is said to be fitted with a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 60-megapixel primary lens, with 8-megapixel, 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. The selfie camera uses a 32-megapixel sensor. There is no confirmation on whether it features a shark-fin pop-up camera module like the Reno2. It could be the first OPPO phone driven by the upcoming Snapdragon 735 chipset. The Reno2 is fueled by Snapdragon 730G SoC.

The device may come with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and is likely to release in China in two variants with 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Powering the OPPO Reno 3 is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. The smartphone is 5G-compliant. The device is allegedly priced at 3,299 Yuan (~$470) for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant and 3,599 Yuan (~$513) for the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model.

OPPO had launched the OPPO Reno2 smartphone in China in the previous month. Hence, it seems unlikely that the company will be launching the Reno 3 phone so soon in the home market. Probably, it may go official late December or in the beginning months of 2020.

Readers are advised to take the aforesaid information with a pinch of salt, as OPPO is yet to officially confirm any of these specifications or pricing.

In related news, OPPO is reportedly working on a flagship phone called OPPO Reno S for India. It seems to be a rebadged version of the Reno Ace for the country with a different primary camera. The Reno Ace has a 48-megapixel primary lens on its rear whereas the Reno S is expected to come with a 64-megapixel main lens on its back. It could be coming flagship features such as Snapdragon 855+ and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge technology. The US fabless chip manufacturer had launched the Snapdragon 730 and 730G back in April with components that confirm their target market is the upper midrange smartphone segment

The tipster claimed to have extracted the specs from a document, asserting this one to be the authentic details. They are noticeably different from the previously leaked details that ave popped online previously. The new detail reveals the chipset goes by the codename SM7250. It utilises a big Cortex-A76-based Kryo core clocked at 2.36 GHz and a second similar core clocked at 2.32 GHz. The chipset has an octa-core arrangement, so the rest of the CPU consists of six Cortex-A55 units, all clocked at 1.73 GHz. Powering the graphics (GPU) will be an Adreno 620, which is likely an upgrade over the Adreno 618, used on the Snapdragon 730.

A new leak has revealed Qualcomm is developing a 7nm chipset that will be commercially known as the Snapdragon 735.

The Snapdragon 735 will be a 7nm chipset like the Snapdragon 855 which means power efficiency will be greater than the 8nm Snapdragon 730 duo. The sdm735 will be an octa-core processor with a 1 + 1 + 6 CPU cluster. It will have one unspecified Kryo 400 series core clocked at 2.9GHz paired with another Kryo 400 series clocked at 2.4GHz and six Kryo 400 series clocked at 1.8GHz.

The mobile platform will have an Adreno 620 GPU clocked at 750MHz with support for QHD (3360 X 1440) displays with a wide color gamut and HDR10/HDR10+. The SoC will also support up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The Snapdragon 735 will have a Spectra 350 ISP just like the Snapdragon 730 that supports up to 32MP 30fps ZSL. There is also a new NPU220 for AI tasks clocked at 1GHz.

The processor will not only be a 7nm chipset like the Snapdragon 855 but also have an integrated 5G modem which means mid-range 5G phones are on the way. It will also support UFS 2.1, eMMC 5.1, and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C.
