Earlier today a new phone named HTC CBP showed up on benchmarking site, AnTuTu.</p>
<p>According to the details revealed by AnTuTu, the HTC CBP sports a 2K display, has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and is powered by the Snapdragon 835 CPU and Adreno 540 GPU. For optics, there is a 12MP camera on the rear and a 16MP up front. Some folks say the sensors are the Sony IMX362 and IMX351 respectively. The HTC CBP runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is reported to have scored about 170,000 points on AnTuTu.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-124647 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/HTC-CBP.jpg?x10805" alt="HTC CBP" width="600" height="950" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/HTC-CBP.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/HTC-CBP-189x300.jpg 189w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>This is a flagship phone in all ways. Some say the HTC CBP is actually the HTC U, the third device in the U series. It is also said to be the device codenamed HTC Ocean.</p>

<p>The HTC Ultra has not been well received so far. Reviewers have called out HTC on its small battery paired with two displays: a large primary one that measures 5.7-inches and a 2.05-inch always-on secondary displays. There have also been complaints about its lack of an audio jack considering the fact that the device is still thick defeating the purpose of removing the audio jack in the first place.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s hope that HTC wins the hearts of everyone when this new device gets released just as LG has done with its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/02/26/lg-g6-now-official-fullvision-display-dolby-vision-3300mah-battery/">G6</a>.</p>

The likely render of the device had leaked earlier in October with a unique curved display.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/mi-6-2-2/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-113306" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mi-6-2.jpg?x10805" alt="xiaomi mi 6" width="728" height="647" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mi-6-2.jpg 728w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mi-6-2-300x267.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px" /></a></p>
<p>We actually didn&#8217;t see the resemblance back then, but right now a recent leak hints that the Mi 6 would adopt the same design as the Mi Note 2 bit with a scaled down size. And really on close scrutiny, the Mi 6 and Mi Note 2 actually look similar, just that the Mi 6 would be a bit smaller in size.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/mi-6-3/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-113307" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mi-6-3.png?x10805" alt="mi-6-3" width="652" height="247" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mi-6-3.png 652w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/mi-6-3-300x114.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 652px) 100vw, 652px" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Once again, another tipster has come out to reaffirm earlier rumors that the Mi 6 would feature a Snapdragon 835 chip onboard and would be launched in February just like we have heard in the past. Another information revealed by the tipster is that the flagship would pack a 128GB and 256GB storage options and would come in black, white and blue color variants.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">Read More:</span> <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/12/27/xiaomi-mi-6-specs-release-details/">Xiaomi Mi 6 Specs &amp; Release Details Leaked</a></strong></p>
<p>We really don&#8217;t know how all these will turn out. They may end up being untrue so for now, we won&#8217;t take them serious.</p>

This delay is also likely to affect Xiaomi&#8217;s expected Mi 6 flagship which was the subject of a recent rumor which gave it a February 14 launch date.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/galaxy-s8/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-112836" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8.jpg?x10805" alt="galaxy-s8" width="600" height="585" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-300x293.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The delays may be connected to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip both flagships are rumored to come with. According to reports emanating from Taiwan, Samsung&#8217;s current production capacity cannot meet the quantity of processor needed. As would be recalled, the Snapdragon 835 is manufactured on Samsung&#8217;s 10nm node process, so Samsung Foundry is the supplier of the chip. Consequently, since Samsung&#8217;s own device is expected to use the SD 835 chip, it would also be affected by the low production output.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/galaxy-s8-4/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-112844" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-4.png?x10805" alt="galaxy-s8-4" width="587" height="453" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-4.png 587w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-4-300x232.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 587px) 100vw, 587px" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-4/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-112811" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/samsung-galaxy-s8.jpg?x10805" alt="samsung-galaxy-s8" width="595" height="178" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/samsung-galaxy-s8.jpg 595w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/samsung-galaxy-s8-300x90.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 595px) 100vw, 595px" /></a></p>
<p>The implication of this is that the Galaxy S8&#8217;s launch may be shifted from February to sometime around April next year. Analyst Kevin Wang had before now expressed worry over the expected Galaxy S8 release date. In the same vein, the Xiaomi Mi 6 may as well see a shift in its launch from Q1 to Q2 2017.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/galaxy-s8-3/"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-112838" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-3.jpg?x10805" alt="galaxy-s8-3" width="553" height="474" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-3.jpg 553w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-3-300x257.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/galaxy-s8-3-95x80.jpg 95w" sizes="(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px" /></a></p>
<p>Also Meizu’s next flagship &#8211; Meizu MX7 which is expected to use a MediaTek <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/08/08/mediatek-helio-x30-chipset-unveiled-powervr-gpu-cortex-a73-cores/">Helio X30 processor</a> is said to see a shift in its launch date by a couple of months. The Helio X30 chip was announced in September as the first MediaTek chip to be built on a 10nm TSMC process. The Meizu MX7 may even be shifted upwards by 4 to 5 months because TSMC is also working on the Apple A11 chip using the same 10nm manufacturing process.</p>
