<p>The Galaxy A82 supports a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and 450ppi screen density. The device is preinstalled with Android 11 OS. Its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/09/samsung-galaxy-a82-bags-bluetooth-certification-launching-soon/">appearance at Bluetooth SIG</a> had revealed that it carries support for Bluetooth 5.0.</p>
<p>The Galaxy A82 is expected to replace the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a80">Galaxy A80</a> which debuted with a slide-up rotating camera design back in 2019. A recent report claimed that the smartphone will be sporting a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/19/samsung-galaxy-a82-sony-imx686-64mp/">Sony IMX686 64-megapixel primary camera</a>. Reputed tipster Evan Blass had recently claimed that the A82 is equipped with a “dual-use” camera. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know whether the A82 will feature a slide-up rotating camera like its predecessor. While the phone is expected to debut around mid-2021, there is no new information on its launch date.</p>

Recently, the smartphone was spotted at Bluetooth SIG and Geekbench’s database. The handset will be succeeding the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a80">Galaxy A80</a>, which came with a slide-up rotating camera module as one of its major features. The Galaxy A82 is also expected to arrive with an innovative camera module. Now, German publication <a href="https://www.galaxyclub.nl/nieuws/samsung-stopt-64-megapixel-camera-in-de-galaxy-a82/"><em>GalaxyClub.nl </em></a>has shared important information about the main camera of the A82.</p>
<p>According to the publication, the Galaxy A82’s camera setup will be featuring a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 lens and not a Samsung ISOCELL GW2/1 sensor. There is no information on the auxiliary cameras of the A82. It is unclear whether the smartphone is equipped with a slide-out camera as its predecessor.</p>
<p>Also, it appears that the device could be aimed towards the South Korean market, and not the European market now. It is said to be equipped with a Quantum Random Number Generator chip for better data encryption.</p>

Last week, the handset was spotted at the Geekbench’s database. Now, the handset has received approval from the <a href="https://launchstudio.bluetooth.com/ListingDetails/124919">Bluetooth SIG</a> authority (<a href="https://twitter.com/yabhishekhd/status/1369112245058342912">via</a>).</p>
<p>The Bluetooth SIG listing states that the Galaxy A82 5G moniker is associated with model number SM-826S. The same variant was spotted at Geekbench in the previous week. The Bluetooth certification reveals that the handset supports Bluetooth 5.0 with LE (Low Energy). No other specifications can be found mentioned in the listing.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-375952" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A82-Bluetooth-SIG.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="680" height="614" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A82-Bluetooth-SIG.jpg 680w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A82-Bluetooth-SIG-300x271.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A82-Bluetooth-SIG-465x420.jpg 465w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /></p>
<p>The Galaxy A82’s Geekbench appearance revealed that it could be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-855">Snapdragon 855</a> or <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-855-plus">Snapdragon 855+</a> chipset that fueled flagship phones back in 2019. The listing also revealed that the phone has 4 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. Devices are known for going official around a month after appearing at Bluetooth SIG. Hence, there is a possibility that the Galaxy A82 may go official at some points in the coming month.</p>
<p>The Galaxy A82 will be succeeding the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-730G">Snapdragon 730G</a> powered <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a80">Galaxy A80</a> handset that debuted back in April 2019. While the SD855/855+ chip is old, it is certainly an upgrade as compared to the predecessor model. The major attraction of the A80 was that it sported a notch-less screen and a swivel rear camera module. It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy A82 continues to sport the same design.</p>
<p>The Galaxy A80 came with specs like a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ display, an in-screen fingerprint reader, a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of built-in storage, and a rear camera system featuring a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a TOF 3D lens.</p>

Both smartphones differed in departments like NFC connectivity and battery size. A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/01/poco-x3-pro-m2102j20sg-fcc-imda-eec-tuv-rheinland/">recent report</a> revealed the existence of a handset named POCO X3 Pro. Fresh information reveals that the phone has approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) authority of India (<a href="https://twitter.com/_the_tech_guy/status/1358940440876228611">via</a>) and the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) regulatory body of Malaysia.</p>
<p>A POCO smartphone with model number M2102J20SG was recently approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore, and TUV Rheinland authorities. The letter ‘G’ at the end of the model number indicates that it is a global edition. It was revealed through the IMEI database that the M2102J20SG model number belongs to the upcoming POCO X3 Pro handset.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-370278" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/POCO-X3-Pro-BIS-Certified.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="900" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/POCO-X3-Pro-BIS-Certified.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/POCO-X3-Pro-BIS-Certified-300x115.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/POCO-X3-Pro-BIS-Certified-768x294.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/POCO-X3-Pro-BIS-Certified-696x267.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></p>
<p>The M2102J20SG model has also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/09/redmi-note-10-pro-poco-x3-pro-sirim-certification/">passed SIRIM certification</a>. The FCC certification revealed that the phone will come with MIUI 12, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and NFC. The other certifications have anything concrete about the smartphone. The variant of the POCO X3 Pro that received BIS certification has revealed that its model number is M2102J20SI, where I refer to the Indian edition.</p>
<p>A recent report <a href="https://www.xda-developers.com/poco-x3-pro-passes-through-certification-websites/">by <em>XDA Developers</em></a> revealed that ‘vayu’ and ‘bhima’ codenames belong to the different variants of the same base model of POCO X3 Pro. The publication claimed that the device could be equipped with an sm8150 chip and it could be featuring a 48-megapixel main camera. The quad-camera setup of the phone may include a main wide-angle lens, an ultrawide lens, a macro shooter, and a depth sensor.</p>
<p>The sm8150 chip belongs to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-855">Snapdragon 855</a> family, which includes Snapdragon 855, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-855-plus">Snapdragon 855</a>+, and the rumored Snapdragon 860. Nothing else is known about the specifications of the POCO X3 Pro.</p>

In the list, the reseller also added AnTuTu benchmarking stats as well.</p>
<p>For those unaware, Qualcomm released its flagship mobile chipset, Snapdragon 855+ back in the second half of 2019. So in terms of performance, it is very similar in technical prowess with the latest<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-865/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Snapdragon 865 SoC</a>. This flagship chip from 2019 was used in various Android flagships from brands including, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Oppo</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Vivo</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Realme</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">OnePlus</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nubia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nubia</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/asus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Asus</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/meizu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Meizu</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/black-shark/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Black Shark</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iqoo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iQOO</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nubia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Nubia</a> and more.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class=" wp-image-318209 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="496" height="2327" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640-64x300.jpg 64w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/s_d1461814a3b94b1c8fcca2d649826640-218x1024.jpg 218w" sizes="(max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px" /></p>
<p>The list released by the second hand smartphone dealer arrives in the form of an image that reveals the highest resale value of certain handsets. The company calculated the value by dividing the market price of a smartphone 6 months after its launch by its original selling price at the initial launch. Then, it multiplies it by 100 to get a percentage.</p>

<p>Through this, we can observe that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9-pro-5g/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G</a> ranked first since it had a resale value of 76.10 percent. The <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> P30 also made its entrance, taking mobile photography to another level. In terms of cost-effective pricing, Redmi continued to blaze the trail but <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/vivo">Vivo</a>&#8216;s iQOO join the trail. Realme also delivered some cost-effective smartphones this year. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/antutu-log-featured.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-230312" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/antutu-log-featured.jpg?x10805" alt="antutu-log-featured" width="720" height="420" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/antutu-log-featured.jpg 720w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/antutu-log-featured-300x175.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></a></p>
<p>Of all the features that made the headlines, 5G dominated. The new technology is expected to usher in a new vista in the mobile phone industry. It also played a key role in all the Systems-on-Chip we saw this year as OEMs strive not to be left behind. Here&#8217;s AnTuTu&#8217;s review of all the major mobile phone SoCs released in 2019. Their ratings are based on several criteria such as flagship performance, technology innovation, cost-effectiveness and others. Do not tat this rating is restricted to Android phone SoCs and doesn&#8217;t include Apple&#8217;s.</p>
<p>The major Android mobile phone SoCs include Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon, Huawei&#8217;s Kirin, MediaTek&#8217;s, and Samsung&#8217;s Exynos. The SoCs from these fabless chipmakers comes with several improvements such as high performance, high refresh rates, high pixels, and 5G. technology.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298281" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award.jpg?x10805" alt="Snapdragon 855 Plus" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>AnTuTu 2019 SoC Awards: Strongest performance &#8211; Snapdragon 855 Plus</strong></p>
<p>Unlike previous years when only one flagship was launched, this year&#8217;s Qualcomm also launched the Snapdragon 855 Plus with stronger GPU performance, which quickly became the flagship standard in the second half of 2019. With an average score of 480,000 (Antutu Evaluation V8), the Snapdragon 855 Plus emerged as the SoC with the best performance.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 855 Plus is built using a 7nm process. The CPU and Snapdragon 855 are also based on the Kryo 485 architecture modified from the Cortex-A76 magic, but the main frequency has been increased from 2.84GHz to 2.96GHz. The GPU uses Adreno 640, the frequency has been increased from 585MHz of Snapdragon 855 to 675MHz, and supports a series of technologies such as Vulkan 1.1 API, 10bit HDR, 4K HDR display (support external), H.265 specification and VP9 decoding.</p>
<p>Although the Snapdragon 855 Plus does not have a built-in 5G baseband, its performance is obvious to all. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298282" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-2.jpg?x10805" alt="kirin 990" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-2.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-2-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-2-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-2-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Technology Innovation Award: Huawei Kirin 990 5G</strong></p>
<p>This year&#8217;s Huawei Kirin SoC is undoubtedly the most spectacular. The latest Kirin 990 5G is the industry&#8217;s first integrated 5G baseband SoC, which in a sense surpasses the world&#8217;s top manufacturers.</p>
<p>The Kirin 990 5G is manufactured using TSMC&#8217;s 7nm + EUV extreme ultraviolet lithography process, integrating up to 10.3 billion transistors. It is the industry&#8217;s first mobile SoC to break the 10 billion mark in terms of transistors. The CPU part integrates two 2.86GHz Cortex-A76 cores, two 2.36GHz Cortex-A76 cores and four 1.95GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU has been upgraded to a 16-core Mali-G76 MP16, which has 6 cores more than the Kirin 980. Baseband supports 2/3/4 / 5G networks, NSA / SA dual-mode, TDD / FDD full frequency bands, and full Netcom 5G.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-3.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298283" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-3.jpg?x10805" alt="Exynos 980" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-3.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-3-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-3-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-3-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Technology Innovation Award: Samsung Exynos 980</strong></p>
<p>There is no doubt that the integration of 5G baseband is a recognized development trend of future manufacturers. Samsung Exynos 980 is a mid-end SoC with built-in 5G baseband and supporting dual-mode 5G.</p>
<p>The Exynos 980 is built on an 8nm process. It has two 2.2GHz Cortex-A77 cores and six 1.8GHz A55 cores. The GPU is Mali-G76 MP5. In terms of communication performance, the Exynos 980 can be the fastest in the sub-6GHz band with 5G network speed of up to 2.55Gbps, 4G speed of up to 1Gbps, and dual-mode parallel speed of up to 3.55Gbps.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/01/first-samples-from-the-100mp-mi-mix-alpha-is-here-we-are-not-impressed">First Samples from the 108MP Mi Mix Alpha is here &amp; we are not impressed!</a></strong></h6>
<p>Although Samsung Electronics disbanded the self-developed CPU team this year, this is not necessarily bad news, because this means that Samsung Exynos is returning to the arms of ARM again, which may further improve the power consumption of the SoC.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-4.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298284" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-4.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-4.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-4-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-4-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-4-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Technology Innovation Award: Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G</strong></p>
<p>At the Snapdragon Technology Summit in December, Qualcomm released the annual flagship Snapdragon 865, along with the Snapdragon 765 / 765G, and if you look closely at their characteristics, you will find that the two SoCs are integrated in process and baseband. It is excellent in many aspects and even surpasses the flagship Snapdragon 865.</p>
<p>As the Snapdragon 765 is not yet on the market but the Snapdragon 765G has already been utilised on a commercial smartphone &#8211; <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/oppo-reno-3-pro">OPPO Reno 3 Pro</a>. The SoC uses a 7nm EUV process, built-in eight-core Kryo 475 CPU, and a three-cluster architecture of 1 + 1 + 6, including a 2.4GHz super Large core, a 2.2GHz performance core, six 1.8GHz efficiency cores, GPU is Adreno 620, and the same architecture as the new flagship Snapdragon 865.</p>
<p>In terms of paper parameters, the Snapdragon 765G is the largest upgrade since the release of the Snapdragon 7 series. The GPU performance has increased significantly by 40% and the AI computing power has increased by 100%. It is straightforward to say that its performance is basically close to Qualcomm ’s Snapdragon 845.</p>
<p>Since this SoC is listed on the last day of this year, we are also included in this list. From its comprehensive performance, we can see that the Snapdragon 765G is likely to become the hottest match for mid-range 5G mobile phones next year.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-5.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298285" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-5.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-5.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-5-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-5-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-5-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Technological Innovation Award: Dimensity 1000L</strong></p>
<p>MediaTek, which has been quiet for a while, came up with a brand new Dimensity series this year including its first 5G SoC &#8211; Dimensity 1000. OPPO first launched Dimensity 1000L at the end of the year onboard the Reno3 series. The Dimensity 1000L may be viewed as a lower version of the Dimensity 1000 but is equally an impressive SoC.</p>
<p>The Dimensity 1000L is built with a 7nm process, has built-in eight cores, and uses the Cortex-A77 architecture, while the GPU uses the G77 architecture. The SoC also comes with built-in 5G baseband, and supports NSA / SA dual-mode 5G.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-6.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298286" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-6.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-6.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-6-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-6-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-6-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Most cost-effective award: Huawei Kirin 810</strong></p>
<p>In June this year, Huawei released the Kirin 810. The biggest change is that it no longer uses the Cambrian NPU instead, it adopts Huawei&#8217;s self-developed DaVinci architecture. At the same time, it uses a 7nm process, making Kirin the world&#8217;s first to have two 7nm SoCs.</p>
<p>The Kirin 810-powered Honor 9X si presently sold for as low as 1,199 yuan which makes it one of the most cost-effective SoC around.</p>
<p>The Kirin 810 is built using a 7nm process, built with two 2.27GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 1.88GHz A55s. The GPU is upgraded to Mali-G52 for customization and supports Kirin Gaming + technology.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-7.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-298287" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-7.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="640" height="314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-7.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-7-300x147.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-7-324x160.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/antutu-award-7-533x261.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Most cost-effective award: Helio G90T</strong></p>
<p>MediaTek changed its trend this year and successively launched Helio G90T, Dimensity 1000 and other mid-to-high-end SoCs. Among them, Helio G90T is positioned at the mid-range in the same league with Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 730 series.</p>
<p>The chipset was first launched onboard the Redmi Note 8 Pro and that remains the only model with the SoC. In terms of pricing, the Redmi Note 8 Pro also sells for around 1,199 yuan as at press time. That is yet another dope offer as the device equally comes with a 64MP Sony camera sensor.</p>
<p>The Helio G90T is built with a 12nm process. The CPU uses the same Cortex-A76 architecture as the Kirin 810. It has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 small cores. The frequency is up to 2.05GHz. The GPU is equipped with ARM Mali-G76. 3EEMC4, clocked at 800MHz, and built-in dual-core APU, combined with CPU and GPU can provide 1TMACs AI computing power.</p>
<p>For 2020, we see 5G playing a more prominent role in the calibre of the flagship to midrange and budget SoCs that would be released.</p>

Now, just months after the launch of SD855+ chipset, the company is now set to launch the next-generation SoC.</p>
<p>If the new reports are to be believed, then the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> Snapdragon 865 processor is all set to launch next month. It is said that the chipset could be fabricated using TSMC&#8217;s second-generation 7nm processor.</p>
<figure id="attachment_263536" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-263536" style="width: 750px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-263536" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon.jpg?x10805" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-263536" class="wp-caption-text">Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor</figcaption></figure>
<p>Contradicting earlier reports of SD865 getting launched in December this year, the new report claims that the Snapdragon 865 SoC will get launched in November in order to keep up with the competition from Huawei.</p>
<p>Further, the report goes on adding that the smartphone manufacturers <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a>, Oppo, Vivo, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> will also be showcasing early prototypes of devices running Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.</p>

<p>While the report claims that the next-generation flagship chipset from Qualcomm is all set to get launched next month, we are yet to come across leaks related to this upcoming processor but given the launch timeline, we should get more information soon.</p>
<p>The Qualcomm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/15/snapdragon-855-plus-announced-higher-clockspeed-but-same-old-modem/">Snapdragon 855 Plus</a> comes with the same Kryo 485 CPU cores but is now clocked at 2.96GHz, up from the 2.84GHz clock speed of the Snapdragon 855. The Adreno 640 GPU is also reported to have gained a 15% boost in speed.</p>
<p>As per the company&#8217;s claim, the upgrade in the GPU department makes the Snapdragon 855 Plus a great chipset for gaming. Also, it should also make it quite useful for AR and VR devices. The processor doesn’t have the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/02/19/qualcomm-announces-2nd-gen-snapdragon-x55-5g-modem-with-up-to-7gbps-download-speed/">X55 modem</a>. Even the X50 modem isn’t integrated, so manufacturers who want to use this for 5G phones will have to install the X50 modem separately.</p>

<p>The Realme Europe website has been updated to reveal that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-x2-pro/">Realme X2 Pro</a> will feature a 64MP quad-camera setup at the back. <p>Also, apart from featuring a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/64MP">64MP</a> high-resolution camera, the X2 Pro will distinguish itself from phones like the Realme XT by bringing in a 20X zoom telephoto shooter as well as an ultra-wide-angle 115° field of view. It should also bring in a dedicated macro lens for super close up shots.</p>

Today, more details have surfaced revealing that it will come with more than just a new processor.</p>
<p>Earlier, it was officially revealed that the phone will come with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/18/redmi-k20-pro-512gb-storage/">512GB of internal storage</a>, double that of the standard edition&#8217;s highest configuration. Now <a href="http://gizmochina.ccom/tag/redmi">Redmi</a> has released a poster that reveals the phone will also have 12GB of RAM!</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-276899" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exclusive-Edition-RAM.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition RAM" width="690" height="920" /></p>
<p>The standard edition K20 Pro comes in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants, so the switch to 12GB of RAM is a significant one. But that is not all.</p>
<p>Redmi also revealed that the Exclusive Edition will come with a better primary rear camera, actually even more cameras. Rather than 48MP triple sensors, the phone will have a 64MP quad-camera setup. The 64MP camera is most likely the Samsung GW1 ISOCELL sensor inside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-8-pro/">Redmi Note 8 Pro</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-276898" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exlcusive-Edition-c.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition" width="690" height="345" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exlcusive-Edition-c.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exlcusive-Edition-c-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>Other features of the phone confirmed include NFC, Hi-Fi audio, Type-C port, and a four-curved glass body with Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. The image also says there is a 48MP camera which is a bit confusing since the primary rear camera is revealed to be a 64MP sensor. We&#8217;ll keep our fingers crossed on that.</p>
<p>The Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition launches tomorrow night in China.</p>

<p>The Redmi K20 Pro was released in May and went on sale in June. When it was announced, it was one of the Snapdragon 855-powered phones with the highest AnTuTu score.</p>
[envira-gallery id=&#8221;276759&#8243;]
<p>Mr. Weibing said the goal of the company is to create a true flagship with the strongest performance that can defeat the competition hence the announcement of a Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition powered by the new Snapdragon 855 Plus.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 855+ has a higher clockspeed of 2.96GHz and a 15% improvement in GPU performance. Mr. Weibing adds that the exclusive edition scores as high as 473,183 points on AnTuTu. The standard edition <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/05/16/redmis-killer-flagship-k20-will-feature-snapdragon-855-with-an-outrageous-antutu-score/">scored 458,754 points on the benchmark test</a>.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-276758" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exclusive-Edition-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition" width="690" height="920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exclusive-Edition-1.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exclusive-Edition-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Redmi-K20-Pro-Exclusive-Edition-1-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to wait long for the Redmi K20 Pro Exclusive Edition as the official <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/redmi">Redmi</a> Weibo account has revealed that it will launch on Thursday, September 19 at 8 PM (local time).</p>
<p>Other than the change in the processor, the rest of the specs should be the same as that of the standard edition of the Redmi K20 Pro.</p>
<p>The Redmi K20 Pro has a 6.39-inch display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. It is an AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner. There is no notch and neither is there a punch hole in the screen. What you get is a motorized pop-up selfie camera.</p>
<p>The phone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage but we presume the Exclusive Edition may come in only one configuration. There is a 48MP + 8MP + 13MP triple camera setup on the rear of the phone while the selfie camera is a 20MP sensor.</p>
<p>The phone also has an audio jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port. It packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 27W wired charging and Quick Charge 4+.</p>

Today the benchmarking app has released the Top 10 Android Performance Phones for August 2019 and there are no real surprises in the list. However, there are slight variations in the placement of the flagships, all thanks to the changes made in the new AnTuTu v8.0.</p>
<p>So before we actually take a look at the phones in the list, let&#8217;s see what these changes are. First, AnTuTu v8.0 considers the storage variant of each device while ranking the phones in the list. Larger the storage, better the ranking. Simply put, scores will differ among the different variants of the same device. The new version also takes the screen refresh rates into account. So it&#8217;s no surprise that OnePlus 7 Pro jumps up a few places (vs <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/01/antutu-releases-top-10-android-smartphones-for-june/">June&#8217;s ranking</a>) in August&#8217;s ranking due to its 90Hz screen.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-274129" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019.png?x10805" alt="Antutu Top 10 Android Phones AUG 2019" width="1030" height="775" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019.png 1030w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-300x226.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-768x578.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-1024x770.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-265x198.png 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-696x524.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Antutu-Top-10-Android-Phones-AUG-2019-558x420.png 558w" sizes="(max-width: 1030px) 100vw, 1030px" /></a></p>
<p>Now coming to the AnTuTu Android Performance list for August 2019, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-black-shark-2-pro/">Black Shark 2 Pro</a> <em>12GB+256GB</em> variant takes the lead with 469,708 points. This isn&#8217;t surprising given that it features the new Snapdragon 855+ processor with UFS 3.0. In the second place is the <em>8GB+128GB</em> version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/asus-rog-phone-2/">ROG Phone 2</a>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h6 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/07/30/mediatek-g90-antutu-benchmark-score-versus-kirin-810-and-snapdragon-730/"><strong>⇒ MediaTek Helio G90 AnTuTu benchmark score versus Kirin 810 and Snapdragon 730</strong></a></span></h6>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The new ROG phone also features the latest SD855+ chipset, so it&#8217;s not surprising to see it placed on top. However, note that there&#8217;s a 12GB RAM version of this phone and given that there&#8217;s hardly any difference in its score vs Black Shark 2 Pro, it&#8217;s likely that the ROG Phone 2 12GB RAM model will top this list. In case you are wondering why we haven&#8217;t seen the higher-end model of the ROG Phone 2, note that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/antutu">AnTuTu</a> considers a sample size of at least 1000 scores for this list.</p>
<p>In the third place is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-7-pro/">OnePlus 7 Pro</a> <em>12GB + 256GB</em> variant which jumps up a few places <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/05/fix-oneplus-7-pros-screen-issues-update/">because of its 90Hz screen</a>. Then there&#8217;s the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nubia-red-magic-3/">Nubia Red Magic 3</a> <em>8GB + 128GB</em> in the fourth place, followed by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-7/">OnePlus 7</a> <em>12GB + 256GB</em>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-black-shark-2/">Black Shark 2</a> <em>8GB + 256GB</em>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-9/">Xiaomi Mi 9</a> <em>8GB + 256GB</em>.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s really interesting is that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/zte-axon-10-pro/">ZTE Axon 10 Pro</a> also makes it in this list but it&#8217;s the only phone with 6GB RAM. All the rest have at least 8GB RAM onboard. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/meizu-16s/">Meizu 16S</a> <em>8GB + 128GB</em> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k20-pro/">Redmi K20 Pro</a> <em>8GB + 256GB</em> complete the list.</p>
<h6 style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">UP NEXT:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/09/03/red-magic-3s-records-highest-antutu-score-of-510496-with-sd855-and-12gb-ram/">This Is The Most Powerful Phone On AnTuTu Right Now!</a></strong></h6>

<p>The main selling point of the Black Shark 2 Pro is its processor &#8211; the Snapdragon 855 Plus &#8211; which was announced recently. It is the second smartphone to launch with the new chipset after the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/asus-rog-phone-2/">ASUS ROG Phone 2</a>.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 855 Plus has higher clock speeds (CPU and GPU) than the Snapdragon 855. Black Shark even bragged about the phone&#8217;s performance; sharing its AnTuTu score of 500,610 points at the launch. The processor is paired with 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.</p>
<p>The Black Shark 2 Pro not only boasts a new processor but has also undergone a slight redesign. The new design is inspired by the X-design language of a Formula 1 sports car. It also comes in five colors. There is Black (above), Ice Silver, Blue (with an orange accent), Purple, and a Bright Orange.</p>
[envira-gallery id=&#8221;267154&#8243;]
<p>Black Shark also released three custom editions with an inscription written in red on the back of the phone. Of the three custom editions, one is a special gold variant specially made for Li Qilin, the CEO of Li Ning, the Chinese sporting goods.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-267153" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Black-Shark-2-Pro-custom-edition.jpg?x10805" alt="Black Shark 2 Pro custom edition" width="690" height="517" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Black-Shark-2-Pro-custom-edition.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Black-Shark-2-Pro-custom-edition-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Black-Shark-2-Pro-custom-edition-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Black-Shark-2-Pro-custom-edition-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Black-Shark-2-Pro-custom-edition-561x420.jpg 561w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>The Black Shark 2 Pro keeps the 6.39-inch Samsung AMOLED display of its sibling with some new features. It has DCI-P3 color gamut, DC Dimming 2.0, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and the touch response speed is now 34.7ms an improvement from the previous generation&#8217;s 43.5ms.</p>
<p>There is a 20MP selfie camera and 48MP + 12MP dual rear cameras. The Black Shark 2 Pro also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 27W fast-charging technology.</p>
<p>The Black Shark 2 Pro is priced at ¥2999 (~$436) for the 128GB version and ¥3499 (~$504) for the 256GB version. It will go on sale on August 2 on Mi.com.</p>

This is a more powerful version of the Snapdragon 855 with the same CPU cores and GPU but a higher clockspeed. Now, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ASUS">ASUS</a> has revealed that its gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 2 will be the world&#8217;s first Snapdragon 855 Plus device.</p>
<p>The ASUS <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/asus-rog-phone/">ROG Phone</a> was one of the most powerful smartphones of 2018, if not the most powerful. While other Snapdragon 845 phones had their processor clocked at 2.8GHz, the ROG Phone&#8217;s Snapdragon 845 processor was clocked at 2.96GHz. So it is not a big surprise that its successor is also gunning to be one of the most powerful phones released this year.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-264279" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/ASUS-ROG-2.jpg?x10805" alt="ASUS ROG 2 + Snapdragon 855 Plus" width="690" height="1226" /></p>
<p>So far we know the ROG Phone 2 will have a display with a 120Hz refresh rate and also have games made by Tencent optimized to take advantage of the feature. The rest of the specs are still under wraps but we expect it to pack a large battery, have stereo speakers, and run Android 9 Pie out of the box. The phone will first launch in China on July 23.</p>

The Snapdragon 855 Plus/Snapdragon 855+ is a faster version of the Snapdragon 855 and is expected to power some of the devices that will launch in H2 2019. The last time something like this happened was in 2016 when Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 821 which is a higher clocked version of the Snapdragon 820.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-264238" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Snapdragon-855-Plus.png?x10805" alt="Snapdragon 855 Plus" width="624" height="403" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Snapdragon-855-Plus.png 624w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Snapdragon-855-Plus-300x194.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px" /></p>
<p>The Snapdragon 855 Plus has the same Kryo 485 CPU cores but is now clocked at 2.96GHz, up from the 2.84GHz clockspeed of the Snapdragon 855. The Adreno 640 GPU is also reported to have gained a 15% boost in speed.</p>
<p>Qualcomm says the upgrade in the GPU department makes the Snapdragon 855 Plus a great chipset for gaming. It should also make it quite useful for AR and VR devices.</p>
<p>The processor doesn&#8217;t have the new X55 modem. Even the X50 modem isn&#8217;t integrated, so manufacturers who want to use this for 5G phones will have to install the X50 modem separately.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon 855 Plus is expected to start showing up in devices later this year. While there is no mention of specific manufacturers, we have a few guesses of our own. The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are strong contenders, so also are the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. We also see <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> jumping on the train and putting this chipset inside the Mi MIX 4.</p>
<p>The launch of the Snapdragon 855 Plus is well timed as it will take on Samsung&#8217;s new Exynos 9825 which will power the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/galaxy-note-10">Galaxy Note10</a> series and also Huawei&#8217;s Kirin 985 chipset which is expected to power the Mate 30 series.</p>
