Huawei has announced the Huawei MatePad C7, a new business-focused tablet, in Japan. The device has a big screen, a chip from the Snapdragon 8 series, and support for a stylus. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the device.

The Huawei MatePad C7 features a 10.95-inch IPS LCD panel with slim bezels. It offers an aspect ratio of 16:10, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a pixel density of 275 ppi, and a DCI-P3 color gamut. The device runs on HarmonyOS 2 and supports the 2nd-generation Huawei M-Pencil. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powers the MatePad C7. The tablet ships with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. There is an external storage slot on the device for more storage. The device is backed by a 7,250mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging.

The MatePad C7 has an 8-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. It offers other features like face unlock, quad speakers, Histen 7.0 audio support, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB-C port. The tablet measures 253.8 x 165.3 x 7.25mm and weighs around 485 grams.

Samsung has quietly unveiled the Galaxy S20 FE 2022, which is exclusively available in South Korea. The device has been available for purchase in the home market through partnered carriers, such as KT and LG Uplus. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and pricing of the Galaxy S20 FE 2022.

Recent reports have revealed that OnePlus plans to launch multiple smartphones in the next few months. The OnePlus Pad 5G will be equipped with an OLED screen measuring 12.4 inches. It will offer Full HD+ resolution. The device will offer an Android 12 out-of-the-box experience. The front side of the tablet will have an 8-megapixel camera. It will have a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera on the back.

The Snapdragon 865 chipset is likely to fuel the OnePlus Pad 5G. The tablet may come in a single trim offering 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage.

The OnePlus Pad 5G will be backed by a massive 10,900mAh battery. It will carry support for 45W rapid charging. For security, it will have a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Its other features include Bluetooth 5.1 support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The leak mentions that it will be priced at 2,999 Yuan (~$471) for the 6GB+128GB variant. Readers are advised to digest the OnePlus Pad 5G specifications leak with a grain of salt.

The launch date of the OnePlus Pad 5G seems to be fast charging. A recent tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that the OnePlus Pad has entered the production phase in the European and Eurasian regions.

A new leak has revealed the launch date of the upcoming tablet from Huawei. The tablet in question is the MatePad 11, which will apparently arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and a high refresh rate display.

According to Weibo tipster @长安数码君, the prototype models of the device have already appeared on the official physical retail stores of the company. Furthermore, the tipster also revealed that if the Chinese tech giant doesn’t change its launch date, the new tablet will launch on the 6th of July 2021, but will be available for pre orders starting from the 4th of July.

Previously, we had reported on the supposed leaked specification of the tablet. Under the hood, the tablet is expected to feature a Snapdragon 865 SoC, which will be paired with 6GB RAM as well as two storage variants of 64GB, 128GB, and even 256GB. The storage would apparently support memory expansion via a microSD card. As the name suggests, the MatePad 11 will sport an 11 inch FullView display that supports 2.5K resolution along with a 120Hz high refresh rate.

Furthermore, the tipster also added that the tablet will feature WiFi 6 standards and will be available in four color variants in China, but only three color options will be available outside of the brand’s home country. Motorola is reportedly working on the successors for the Edge and Edge+ smartphones that were announced in global markets last year. TechnikNews had leaked some information about upcoming Motorola phones with codenames such as Berlin, Berlin NA, Sierra, and Kyoto. The publication is back with new information on Berlin, Kyoto, and another Motorola that has a Pstar codename.

Motorola Edge Berlin and Berlin NA

New information shared by the publication reveals that the Berlin is a European variant, whereas the Berlin NA model appears to be a North American edition that may sell through Verizon. The Berlin models are expected to launch as Edge branded phones.

The Berlin and Berlin NA will come with a Snapdragon 778G chip, 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage. Both phones have an OmniVision OV32B40 front camera. The rear camera setup of the Berlin model seems to include a 108-megapixel Samsung S5KHM2 primary camera, a 16-megapixel OmniVision (OV16A10) ultrawide/macro lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto (OV08A10) telephoto lens.

On the other side, the Berlin NA has a 108-megapixel megapixel Samsung S5KHM2 main lens, an 8-megapixel Samsung S5K4H7 ultrawide/macro lens, and a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV02B1B depth lens. It is expected to arrive in Emerald (Green), Stout (Brown), and White colors.

Motorola Edge Pstar

The publication that Pstar is the same device that was previously referred to as Sierra. The model number of this device is XT2153 and it is likely to come in black, blue, and white colors. It is powered by Qualcomm’s chip, which is codenamed as “kona,” which suggests that it could be powered by the Snapdragon 865 or 870 chipset.

The SoC is coupled with 6 GB / 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage. It may feature a 16-megapixel OV16A1Q front camera in China or 32-megapixel OV32B selfie camera in Europe. Its rear shell may feature a 108-megapixel S5KHM2 main camera, a 16-megapixel OV16A10 ultrawide/macro lens, and an 8-megapixel OV08A10 telephoto lens.

Motorola Edge Kyoto

The Motorola Edge phone with Kyoto codenamed is said to be the cheapest model in the lineup. It has a 32-megapixel OV32B front camera, and its rear camera system has a 108-megapixel S5KHM2 main camera, an 8-megapixel S5K4H7 ultrawide/macro lens, and a 2-megapixel OV02B1B depth sensor.

Huawei has expanded its MatePad line of tablets with three new models. Top of the line is the MatePad Pro with a 12.6” screen and powered by the Kirin 9000 series; there is also a 10.8” MatePad Pro powered by the Snapdragon 870; and last but not the least is the MatePad 11 that has the Snapdragon 865 inside it. All three run HarmonyOS 2 out of the box.

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 is the leader of the pack. It sports a 12.6-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED display with 5.6mm slim bezels that give it a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The screen has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, and a Delta E color accuracy rating of less than 0.5. This is also the first tablet in the world to receive a TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 2.0 certification.

Huawei has squeezed the camera into one of the side bezels, so you can have your video calls in the landscape position. This design change means that the punch hole of the 2019 model is gone.

Powering the MatePad Pro is the Kirin 9000 series. The Wi-Fi version of the tablet comes with the Kirin 9000E, a variant of the Kirin 9000 with fewer GPU cores and NPU cores. The 5G version of the tablet has a Kirin 9000 chipset. Both versions have 8GB of RAM and users will be able to pick up the Wi-Fi version in 128GB and 256GB storage variants while the 5G version is only available with 256GB of storage. There is support for storage expansion via Huawei’s proprietary NM card slot.

The MatePad Pro 12.6 has an 8MP front-facing camera, a 13MP main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide angle camera, and a 3D depth-sensing camera. There is also an LED flash on the back.

Huawei has packed a total of eight speakers tuned by Harman Kardon and with Histen 7.0 sound effects into the new flagship tablet. There are also four microphones that are designed to pick up your voice from several meters away and also cancel background noise when having a video call or recording.

The MatePad Pro packs a 10050mAh battery that will provide up to 14 hours of playback. It supports 40W fast wired charging, 27W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Huawei ships the tablet with a 40W SuperCharge power adapter. Other features are Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, and OTG reverse wired charging.

Harmony OS

HarmonyOS brings new features such as a bottom dock similar to that of iPadOS that shows frequently used apps and also recently used ones. Another feature is New Service Widgets which display information in real-time and allows users to access certain features without launching the app. Two other features are a new Tablet-PC Multi-Screen Collaboration:

App Multiplier – users will be able to scroll up and down on the empty spaces on either side to navigate app content without releasing their grip on the tablet. They can also launch two instances of the same app and interact with each window separately. Huawei says there are almost 4000 apps that have been adopted for App Multiplier.

Tablet-PC Multi-Screen Collaboration – the new MatePad can double as an extended second screen for your computer. Owners can also use it as a digital pad or use it to sign and annotate documents when in mirror mode. While collaborate mode allows users to easily transfer content between the PC and tablet and vice versa with a simple drag and drop. Of course, these features work with Huawei’s own PCs.

MatePad Pro 12.6 Price and Availability

The MatePad Pro is already available for pre-order starting today and it will go on sale on June 10. The tablet will be available in three colors – Silver Frost, Matte Gray, and Olive Green which has a textured vegan leather back. Below are the prices:

• 8+128GB Wi-Fi = ¥4999 (~$783)
• 8+256GB Wi-Fi = ¥5499 (~$862)
• 8+256GB Wi+Fi (Keyboard case and M-Pencil 2 included) = ¥6699 (~$1050)
• 8+256GB 5G (Keyboard case and M-Pencil 2 included) = ¥7999 (~$1254)

In Europe, the tablet will be available for €799 but we don’t know what the storage capacity is for this version.

MatePad Pro 10 10.8

if the 12.6-inch MatePad Pro is too big, then there is a 10.8-inch model. However, the screen size is not the only difference between them. This version has an LCD screen with the same 2560 x 1600 resolution, 4.9mm thin bezels, DCI-P3 color gamut, a 120hz refresh rate, and a hole punch at the top left corner.

It swaps the Kirin 9000 series for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage. There is a single 13MP camera on the back with an LED flash while an 8MP camera is in front for video calls.

Of course, the battery is smaller at 7250mAh (lasts up to 11 hours) and it supports 22.5W fast wired charging, 27W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. You also get Harman Kardon-tuned quad speakers with Histen 7.0 and five microphones. There is Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a USB-C port.

The MatePad Pro 10.8 is available in green, gray, and white. It is priced at ¥3799 (~$595) for the 128GB version and ¥4299 (~$674) for the 256GB version. There is also a ¥5299 (~$830) 256GB version that comes with a keyboard case and stylus.

MatePad 11

The MatePad 11 has a 10.95-inch LCD screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are quad cameras, four microphones, a single rear camera, and a front-facing camera.

There is a 7250mAh battery inside the device with support for 22.5W fast charging via USB-C. Just like the other two models, it also has support for the new M-Pencil 2 and has its own smart keyboard cover.

Huawei will sell this model for €399 in Europe.

M-Pencil 2

Huawei announced a new stylus too. The M-Pencil 2 has a revamped design, lower latency, and is more precise. It also has a platinum-coated transparent nib. The new stylus can be purchased separately for ¥599 (~$94). It works with all of the new tablets.

Samsung has quietly announced its Galaxy S20 FE (Snapdragon 865 version) in a few countries already. According to reports, this new version of the phone is already available in Malaysia and Vietnam.

When the Galaxy S20 FE was first announced last year, it was available in two versions – a 4G model powered by the Exynos 990 and a 5G version powered by the Snapdragon 865. Samsung is now replacing the Exynos 990 chipset inside the 4G version with the same processor available in the 5G model.

In Malaysia, the phone is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with a price tag of RM 2,299 (~$558). It can be purchased on the official Samsung store on Shopee in Blue, Orange, and Violet. As of the time of writing, the device has a 13% discount and can be grabbed for just RM 1999 (~$485), so hurry as we don’t know for how long the price will be discounted.

The official price tag is VND 15,490,000 (~$672) as seen in the screenshot shared by Twitter user @Chunvn8888 but a limited-time discount that runs until Thursday, May 6, has the price down to VND 10,390,000 (~$451). Samsung has a new Galaxy S20 FE smartphone. Last year, the manufacturer had announced the Galaxy S20 FE in two versions – a 4G version that has an Exynos 990 processor and a 5G version that has a Snapdragon 865 processor. This new version drops the Exynos 990 processor for a Snapdragon 865 chipset but skips the 5G modem.

The new Galaxy S20 FE 4G has the model number SM-G780G and is already listed on the Samsung Sweden website. The new version will be available in Cloud Lavender, Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, and Cloud Red. There is only one version available for now and it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage but it has been reported that there will be a version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage later.

According to Winfuture.de that first reported about the listing, the Galaxy S20 FE Snapdragon 865 version will sell for about €600 in Germany. However, prices are expected to vary depending on regions.

The Galaxy S20 FE has a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen with a centered punch hole that is home to a 32MP selfie camera. The phone has a MicroSD card slot that doubles as a second SIM slot. For the cameras, the Galaxy S20 FE has a 12MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP 123° ultrawide angle camera.

Samsung ships the phone with a 4500mAh battery that supports 15W fast wireless charging and 4.5W fast wireless charging. There is no audio jack but it has stereo speakers. OPPO Find X3 Pro specifications

The Find X3 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440 x 3216 pixels) AMOLED display. It will offer features like curved edges, HDR10+ support, 525ppi pixel density, an in-screen fingerprint reader, and Gorilla Glass 5 panel. The Snapdragon 888 mobile platform powers the Find X3 Pro with 12 GB of RAM. It may come with a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging and wireless charging support.

The IP68 rated Find X3 Pro has a 32-megapixel front camera and a quad-camera system with a 50-megapixel main lens with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 13-megapixel periscope telephoto snapper, and a 5-megapixel micro lens. It will come in blue and silver colors.

OPPO Find X3 Neo and Find X3 Lite specifications

The Find X3 Neo has a 6.5-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen with curved edges, while the Find X3 Lite features a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ flat screen. Both phones support a 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 865 fuels the Find X3 Neo and it will come with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. On the other side, the Snapdragon 765G drives the Lite model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.  Both phones have an in-screen fingerprint reader and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Find X3 Neo has a quad-camera system featuring a 50-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.  It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery. The Find X3 Lite’s quad-camera module has a 64-megpaixel main snapper, an 8-megapixel superwide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth. As it is known, the Find X3 Neo and Lite are rebadged versions of China’s OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G and Reno5 5G. The Find X3 Neo could be available in black and silver hues, whereas X3 Lite could come in three color options like black, silver, and blue.

In March, OPPO will be taking off covers from the OPPO Find X3 series in China and global markets. In China, it may announce the Snapdragon 870 powered Find X3 and Find X3 Pro featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC. The global markets are expected to receive the Find X3 / X3 Pro, X3 Neo, and X3 Lite. A recent leak that revealed the front design of the global models suggested that the Find X3 Neo and Find X3 Lite will be rebranded versions of the Reno5 5G Pro 5G and Reno5 5G phones, which launched in China in December 2020. However, a new leak by a Dutch publication reveals that the Find X3 Neo will be a rebadged edition of the more powerful Reno5 Pro+ 5G.

The leaked official renders shared by Dutch publication Nieuwe Mobiel show that the Find X3 Neo 5G has a curved edge screen with a circular cutout for the selfie snapper at the upper-left corner. Its rear camera module has four cameras and a dual-LED flash unit. The Reno5 Pro 5G has a similar design, but it features a slightly different quad-camera module.

The Find X3 Neo 5G is likely to feature the same specs that are available on the Reno5 Pro+. The Reno phone has a 6.55-inch FHD+ display that produces a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform fuels it with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Reno5 Pro+ has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and its rear setup includes a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megaixel telephoto lens, a 16-megapixel superwide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Its other specs include Android 11 OS, a 4,500mAh battery, and 65W fast charging support.

The publication claimed that the OPPO Find X3 Neo will be arriving in colors like black, white, purple, and blue. The Find X3 models could be made available for purchase in global markets by April.

Two upcoming Black Shark 4 lineup smartphones with KSR-A0 and PRS-A0 model numbers were recently seen at the Google Play Console. The PRS-A0 model has now received certification from the TENAA authority of China. The listing has no information on its specs. The images that have appeared in the listing suggest that it may debut as an affordable gaming smartphone from Black Shark.

The Black Shark phones that have launched in the past have a gaming-centric rear design. However, the PSR-A0 rear design deviates from the predecessor models as it has a plain appeal. The top portion of the back panel has a horizontal camera setup that has three cameras and an LED flash.

A pair of gaming trigger buttons and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor are available on the right of the Black Shark PSR-A0 smartphone. A volume rocker is available on the left side of the phone.

Moving to the front, the Black Shark PSR-A0 smartphone has a flat display. It seems to feature a selfie camera cutout at the top-center. The predecessor Black Shark 2 series and Black Shark 3 series of smartphones are all fitted with AMOLED display and in-screen fingerprint readers. The inclusion of a side-mounted fingerprint reader on the PSR-A0 indicates that it could be equipped with an LCD screen. Moreover, the plain rear design suggests that the PSR-A0 could be arriving as an affordable gaming smartphone.

In terms of specs, the Google Play Console listing of the device revealed that it is powered by Snapdragon 865 and 12 GB of RAM. It boots to Android 11 OS and produces a Full HD+ resolution. It is recommended to wait for newer reports to know its other specifications and final product name.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition went official in India back in October as the most affordable Galaxy S20 series smartphone. The Exynos 990 chipset powered phone carried support for 4G connectivity. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has approved a new Samsung phone with SM-G781B/DS model number. A product page of the same device has appeared on Samsung India’s website (via. Pricebaba). The model number suggests that it could be the 5G version of the Galaxy S20 FE.

It is known that the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G edition has an SM-G780 model number whereas the SM-G781 model number belongs to its 5G sibling. India received the Exynos 990 powered variant of the device, while some other markets like the U.S. received the 5G-ready Snapdragon 865 SoC powered variant.

The BIS listing of the Galaxy S20 FE and the appearance of its support page on the official website suggests it could be coming soon to India. Samsung is known for skipping Snapdragon chipset versions of its high-end phones in India. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the country receives the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with SD865 onboard. The 4G and 5G editions of the Galaxy S20 FE have the same specs and they only differ in the chipset department.

Through the new sale which ends today, the Xiaomi Mi 10T series is available with a starting price of Rs 32,999 (~$452). Moreover, customers can make most of the ICICI bank offer to get the MI 10T for as low as Rs 29,999 (~$411).

Since October 2020, the rumor mill has been gradually spilling information on the upcoming OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. Recent reports have revealed that the lineup will include three models such as the OnePlus 9 Lite, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro. A tipster from China has shared a few key information on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro handsets.

As per the leak, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro smartphones will be sporting punch-hole displays. The vanilla model may house a 6.55-inch flat display that produces a Full HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other side, the Pro model could be equipped with a curved edge display of 6.78 inches. It will offer a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays have a 3.8mm punch-hole positioned at their upper-left corner.

It goes without saying that the Snapdragon 888 SoC could be present under the hood of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The tipster is not clear about the battery capacities of both models. While these devices are likely to arrive with different-sized batteries, the tipster mentions that these devices may house up to 4,500mAh batteries.

The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will not weigh more than 200 grams. The standard model could have a slim profile of 8mm, whereas the Pro variant could be measuring 8.5mm in thickness.

Last year, Sony unveiled the Sony Xperia 1 II, Xperia 10 II, and Xperia Pro smartphones in February. Motorola “Nio” is a smartphone that’s widely rumored to be Motorola’s upcoming flagship device. Ahead of the official launch, alleged live images of the device have now appeared.

First spotted and reported by Nils Ahrensmeier(@NilsAhrDE), the live images of a Motorola device has appeared on Weibo a few days ago. This device has a dual punch-hole screen at the front, and a Moto G 5G Plus-like quad-camera layout on the back. However, the position of Flash is below the cameras here.

Further, the rear of the device seems to have a color that the tipster says is the ‘Sky’ variant. Apart from this, the device will also have a “Beryl” which could be a Green/Blue color. On the back, there is a “64MP camera” and “Audio Zoom” keywords. On the right, there are volume buttons and power-cum-fingerprint senor button.

The settings on the front image shows it as “Motorola Edge Plus” which means this could just be a prototype. That said, the display on this live image is also similar to a front render of Motorola “Nio” with a dual punch-hole screen leaked a few days ago.

For those who don’t know, a Motorola smartphone codenamed “Nio” and Model number XT2125 has already cleared multiple certifications. So far, we know that a Wi-Fi alliance certification revealing support for Wi-Fi (2.4, 5GHz), and run Android 11.

Similarly, FCC and TUV showed that the device will have 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, and GNSS, and a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging. Previous reports said that the device is a flagship running older Snapdragon 865 SoC and a 64MP triple-cameras. However, the latest image contradicts it with a quad-camera image.

Either way, the device will likely have a FHD+ display with a 2520×1080 resolution and a possible 105Hz refresh rate, come with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. For cameras, you can expect a 64MP main, 16MP ultra-wide sensors on the back, and a 16MP+8MP(ultra-wide) set up in the front for selfies.

Nevertheless, the Motorola “Nio” is expected to launch as Motorola Edge S in China and a flagship under Moto-G branding elsewhere.

Fans of OnePlus are anticipating the launch of the OnePlus 9 series and rumors have revealed that we will be getting three models this year rather than the two we got for the OnePus 8 series.

An earlier leak had revealed that alongside the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, there will be a third variant called the OnePlus 9E but a different source said that the device will actually launch as the OnePlus 9 Lite. Now, another source has corroborated the latter and has also provided more details.

According to TechDroider (@techdroider), the OnePlus 9 Lite will have two models with model numbers LE2100 and LE2101. OnePlus will announce the phone in China and India but there is no information on a European release or a North American release. However, there is a possibility that the phone may arrive later in these markets.

EDITOR’S PICK: OnePlus invests heavily to improve flagship smartphone camera performance

Details about the design and other specifications are unknown but we expect more leaks will surface in the weeks leading up to the official announcement of the phones. Nevertheless, we expect the OnePlus 9 Lite to have an AMOLED display, a high refresh rate (at least 90Hz) and have support for at least 30W fast wired charging. OnePlus will most likely not add wireless charging support which has been confirmed for the standard model and is also expected to be available on the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The OnePlus 9 Lite should also have inferior cameras compared to its siblings and should miss out on an official IP rating. All three phones will ship with OxygenOS based on Android 11.

OnePlus has changed the number of flagships it announces per year. Last year’s Before the OnePlus 7 series, there were only two models released per year – one in each half. Then it switched to two models per half but last year’s OnePlus 8T series didn’t launch with a pro model. It remains to be seen if we will get three models in the second half of the year or fewer.

Back on December 2, at the Qualcomm summit, Motorola confirmed that it will bring the devices powered by flagship SoC. In fact, a G-Series smartphone with an 800 series chipset is coming in 2021. Now, Lenovo China’s GM has teased a new Motorola smartphone and it could be called ‘Motorola Edge S’.

Chen Jin has teased the device via a Post on Weibo. The post also has an image of the Motorola logo on it. It shimmers with a yellow light falling on it having brushed textured patterns. That said, the image could just be a placeholder. The highlight is the post says a new flagship with Snapdragon 8xx is coming soon.

And if you look at the timestamp of the Weibo Post, it seems to be posted from a device with the ‘Motorola Edge S‘ moniker. Hence, there is a strong possibility that the next device could carry the above name. While he hasn’t confirmed it as the latest Snapdragon 888, don’t rule out the possibility of an older SoC like Snapdragon 865.

This is not the first time as he posted a retail packaging of a Motorola device last month suggesting an imminent launch. While we don’t know if the Edge S will sport a flat display with a dual-punch hole or a curved display with a centered punch hole yet, there is a possibility that the Edge S might continue the trend of earlier launched Motorola Edge+. However, we do know that Motorola is working on a smartphone having a display with 105Hz refresh-rate support and a 64MP camera.

At the end of the event, the Chinese brand confirmed that it will be unveiling the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powered Reno5 Pro+ 5G on Dec. 24. Ahead of the official announcement, the handset was spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking platform yesterday. Today, the entire specs of the device along with its images have appeared at TENAA.

OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G design

The Reno5 Pro+ 5G has 159.9 x 72.5 x 7.99mm dimensions and it weighs 184 grams. It is equipped with an AMOLED display with curved edges along with a punch-hole positioned at the upper-left corner. The smartphone is likely to release in China in hues such as black and gradient blue.

Rumors are rife that it could be the first mass-produced phone with an electrochromic rear. The rectangle-shaped camera module three vertically arranged cameras, a square-shaped fourth camera, an elongated dual-LED flash unit, and two unknown sensors.

The Reno5 Pro+ 5G has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display that offers a 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ resolution. The screen is also expected to arrive with support for a 90H refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint reader. It has a dual-cell battery with one of its batteries having a rated size of 2,200mAh battery. Past reports have claimed that it has a 4,500mAh battery and it will carry support for 65W rapid charging.

TENAA reveals that the Reno5 Pro+ 5G has a 32-megapixel and a 50+16+13+2-megapixel quad camera setup. Rumors have claimed that it has a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Reno5 Pro+ 5G is driven by the 2.8GHz Snapdragon 865 SoC. China may receive the smartphone in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM editions and storage variants like 128 GB and 256 GB. It will come preloaded with Android 11 OS. There is no word on its pricing. While it is expected to release in China by the end of this month, it is unlikely to make it to the global markets.

In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5, the handset has scored 886 and 3036 points, respectively.

The Reno5 series will be getting an additional model in a few weeks according to OPPO. The new model will launch as the Reno5 Pro+ and it will come with the Snapdragon 865 flagship processor.

The Reno5 Pro+ will be the fourth Reno phone to come with a Snapdragon 800 series chipset since the Reno 5G, Reno 10x Zoom, and Reno Ace that were announced last year. The Reno 5G and Reno 10x Zoom are powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor while the Reno Ace launched with the slightly more powerful Snapdragon 855+.

OPPO released a poster showing us what the phone looks like, and it sure looks really nice. The phone will be available in two color variants – black and a color-shifting blue – with a luster-like finish. The front, which is not visible in the image is home to a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a punch hole and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Reno5 Pro+ will also maintain the lightweight + slim design of its other siblings. its dimensions have been given as 159.9 x 72.5 x 7.99 mm and its weight is 184 grams.

Samsung‘s next-generation flagship Exynos processor which will be known as Exynos 2100 is expected to be officially unveiled on December 15 which is only a couple of days away. Ahed of the event, the company’s Exynos chip division released a tweet which is accompanied by an emotional video showing gratitude towards fans of the brand.

The video is said to be an appreciation to fans for their loyalty but beneath the surface, it seems to suggest the Exynos team acknowledge their shortcomings. The brand is apologizing to loyal fans who were left disappointed by the performance of the 2020 Exynos 990 chipset used on the Galaxy S20 series.

For successive years, Samsung’s Exynos chipset has often lagged behind those from Qualcomm but things seem to have nosedived further in the last few years. Recent reports have revealed Motorola is gearing up to launch a smartphone codenamed as “Nio” in Q1 2020. It will be a flagship phone driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Some of the key specs of the smartphone are already known. A few hours back, reputed tipster Evan Blass shared the first leaked image of the Motorola Nio phone to reveal its front design.

As it can be seen in the image, the Motorola Nio has a slightly thick chin and slim bezels elsewhere. There are two punch-holes at the top-left corner of the screen for its two front-facing cameras.

Blass revealed that the Motorola Nio has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery and it will come preloaded with Android 11 OS. The USB-C port of the phone may come with support for DisplayPort Alternate Mode that will make it possible to connect to external displays.

Motorola recently released a video to showcase its desktop mode feature. The tipster claimed that the Nio phone may have appeared in the video.

A German publication recently revealed that Motorola will be unleashing its first flagship of the year 2021 by Q1. The device is codenamed “Nio” and its final marketing name is yet to surface. The publication also shared the key specs of the Motorola Nio. The report claimed that the phone is equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate screen. A tweet by XDA Developers Mishaal Rahmaan that the Motorola Nio may support an unusual refresh rate of 105Hz.

Before the ROG Phone 3 gaming smartphone went official, ASUS was found testing a 160Hz refresh rate mode on the device. However, the final device came with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. Rahmaan revealed that the Lenovo-owned brand is testing a default peak refresh rate of 105Hz for the Motorola Nio. He has speculated that the company could be simply testing a higher refresh rate as ASUS did on the ROG Phone 3. The final handset may come equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Motorola Nio’s display produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. While the size of the screen is not known, it is revealed that it has a punch-hole cutout for its dual front-facing cameras. The dual selfie camera system of the phone has a main camera of 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel second lens.

Qualcomm is said to unveil the next flagship SoC, Snapdragon 875 on December 1. Ahead of this, its features have already been leaked online. Now, a Geekbench score of a Xiaomi device(allegedly Mi 11) gives us more details.

As reported by dealntech, a Xiaomi device with codename M2012K11C has hit the Geekebench. Accordingly, the motherboard is coined “Haydn”. On digging through the source code of the Geekbench listing, we see that the Processor is indeed Snapdragon 875. This is because the cores of the CPU listed inside fall in line with the earlier leaks. It shows that the Processor has 1.8GHz, 2.42GHz, and 2.84GHz.

Previously, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo said that Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will have the following configurations:

• 1xCortex-X1 clocked at 2.84GHz.
• 3xCortex-A78 clocked at 2.42GHz.
• 4xCortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz.

Additionally, he also said that the GPU will be coined Adreno 660. And that is clearly evident in the source code too. Coming back to Geekbench, we see that the device in testing runs Android 11 which is obvious. It has a 5.02GB RAM and scores 1,105 in single-core and 3,512 in multi-core sections. Although it looks to have some improvements over the 865 SoC, we will have to wait for the official launch to know more.

Besides, the Geekbench listing doesn’t hint anything about the device. However, a series of events makes us wonder if this could be a test version of the upcoming Mi 11. Early reports said that Mi 11 will be the first device to sport Snapdragon 875 SoC in China. Following this, Xiaomi removed the  Mi 10 Pro listing from China’s official website.

Today, the regular Mi 10‘s 8/256GB and 12/256GB variants have also gone out of stock on official and partner websites. All this suggests that Xiaomi might jump the gun and launch the device before anybody in China.

That said, the Snapdragon 875 is likely to be powerful albeit using the same tri-cluster format as the predecessor. The reason is due to improved 5nm process, Cortex-X1 and A78 cores etc. Thus, we can expect at least 23% and 20% improvements in performance and GPU respectively. Nevertheless, we are sure to get interesting details in the coming weeks as we approach the Qualcomm Tech Summit.

A Cyberpunk themed version of OxygenOS could be gracing the smartphone. OnePlus CEO and co-founder Pete Lau had recently teased the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition. The teaser image only suggested that it could be sporting a grayish-black colored rear and it has a yellow-colored Cyberpunk branding.

It is already known that the pre-orders of the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will begin on Nov. 4. There is no word on the pricing of the device.

The OnePlus 8T has a 6.5-inch Fluid AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with a punch-hole design. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad rear cameras. It is powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC and up to 12 GB of LPPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The OxygenOS based Android 11 OS runs on the OnePlus 8T. The Redmi K30S phone has gone official today in China. It is said to be the last smartphone in the Redmi K30S series that includes Redmi K30 4G, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro 5G, Redmi K30 Pro 5G Zoom Edition, Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition, Redmi K30i 5G, and Redmi K30 Ultra.

The Redmi K30S has dethroned iQOO Neo3, which has been exclusively available in China to become the most affordable Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The phone features an attractive screen that supports up to 144Hz refresh rate. The device is backed by a huge battery that is coupled with fast charging support.

The Redmi K30S measures 165.1 x 76.4 x 9.3mm and 216 grams. It is shielded by Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and rear. The 6.67-inch supports a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, MEMC, 650nits brightness, and up to 144Hz refresh rate. Today, Redmi officially confirmed that it will be announcing the Redmi K30S flagship phone tomorrow. Since the beginning of this year, Redmi has been launching K30 series phones across different price points. Fresh information reveals that Redmi K30S launching tomorrow could be debuting as the cheapest SD865 phone.

The iQOO Neo3 is currently the cheapest Snapdragon 865 SoC powered phone in the Chinese market with a starting price of 2,598 Yuan (~$388). A Weibo post by Redmi Product Director, Wang Teng Thomas reads that the Redmi K30S will be priced around 2,500 Yuan (~$374), which it could be the most affordable SD865 phone.

The Redmi K30S is not a brand-new phone as recent reports have revealed that it will be arriving as a rebadged Xiaomi Mi 10T. The Xiaomi phone is available for 499 euros (~$590) in the European markets and it is priced at Rs 35,999 (~$488) in India.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi India announced the Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G and Mi 10T Pro 5G smartphones in India. Both phones are available for pre-orders in the country since Oct. 15. At launch, the company did not confirm when it will start shipping the pre-ordered units. The company has now revealed that the shipments of the Mi 10T series will begin on Nov. 3.

The Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro are available for pre-booking through Mi.com, Mi Home, Mi Stores, Mi Studio, and Flipkart. Xiaomi and Flipkart will start shipping the Mi 10T units from Nov. 3.
