It has already been <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/12/snapdragon-898-samsung-4nm-performance-improvement/">confirmed</a> that the chipset is going to be manufactured using <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tags/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s 4nm process and will have a 20% increment in performance. Well, to corroborate the earlier claims, we now have the first Geekbench scores and it runs on an imminent flagship from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tags/vivo/">Vivo</a> with model name, Vivo V2102A.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-410290" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-772x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="snapdragon-898-geekbench-score" width="696" height="923" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-772x1024.jpg 772w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-226x300.jpg 226w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-768x1018.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-696x923.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-1068x1416.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score-317x420.jpg 317w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-score.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>With a score of 720 for single-core and 1919 for multi-core, Snapdragon 898 appears to be on top of the realm in this fierce competition. If we go by <a href="https://browser.geekbench.com/mobile-benchmarks">Geekbench benchmarks</a> for multi-core, Snapdragon 898 will have a comfortable win over the others. Among other specifications are a dual Part 3400 architecture, and <span class="accentTextColor">an Adreno 730 GPU. T</span>he current run-point version, though, is the same as the original SM8350.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-410291" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-1024x924.jpg?x44794" alt="snapdragon-898-geekbench-code" width="696" height="628" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-1024x924.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-300x271.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-768x693.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-696x628.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-1068x964.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code-465x420.jpg 465w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/snapdragon-898-geekbench-code.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>Additionally, Snapdragon 898 chipset has a total of 8 cores, and for now, the main frequency appears to be just 1.78Ghz, the renowned leakster Digital Chat Station is hopeful that these numbers will certainly rise as soon as the mass production kicks off. And with improvements this radical, expect power consumption to be on the higher side, too.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/04/4nm-snapdragon-895-series-production-to-be-split-between-samsung-and-tsmc/">learned earlier</a>, the production will be split between Samsung and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tags/tsmc/">TSMC</a>, and it appears that the Plus variant of the Snapdragon 898 processor <span class="accentTextColor">may hit the market as early as the second quarter of </span>2022. Interestingly, Vivo will be among the first few brands to launch a smartphone powered by Snapdragon 898. We will have more information in this regard when the processor gets officially unveiled in December Qualcomm Summit.</p>
