<h2></h2>
<h2><b>Oppo Watch 3 Series Specifications</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Oppo Watch 3 arrives with a square dial, just like its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/27/oppo-watch-2-series-launch-price-specs-features/">predecessors</a>. They feature an aluminum alloy frame and fiberglass casing. The Watch 3 has a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 430 x 372 pixels. Whereas, the Watch 3 sports a larger 1.91-inch LTPO curved OLED display with a resolution of 496 x 378 pixels. Interestingly, both models come with the same 326 PPI but only the Pro version flaunts a crown.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Talking about common things, the duo is powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/07/20/qualcomm-snapdragon-w5-plus-gen-1-soc-launch/">Qualcomm Snapdragon W5</a> chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 32GB storage. They also house Oppo’s own Apollo 4 Plus chip. They dual-boot ColorOS Watch based on Wear OS and RTOS.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In typical usage (mix of Wear OS and RTOS modes), the Pro variant (550mAh battery) is rated to last for up to 5 days, while the vanilla (400mAh battery) model is said to offer an endurance of up to 4 days. With LTE, the battery life drops by a day for both, and with heavy usage, it further drops by 1.5 days. In RTOS-only mode, they can last for up to 15 days and 14 days, respectively.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-474658 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-1024x704.png?x10805" alt="Oppo Watch 3 Series" width="696" height="479" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-1024x704.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-300x206.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-768x528.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-218x150.png 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-696x479.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-1068x735.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-611x420.png 611w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Oppo-Watch-3-Series-Featured-B.png 1246w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Based on this information, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Oppo/">Oppo</a> Watch 3 series seems to be the best Wear OS smartwatch for battery life to date. It is probably due to the new Snapdragon W5 chip, which is making its global debut on these wearables.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Further, both variants offer LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and NFC (payments, passes, car keys). They are 5ATM water resistant and feature all the essential sensors, like accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, optical heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, ambient light sensor, and altimeter. The Pro variant also comes with an ECG sensor.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last but not least, the Oppo Watch 3 series can be paired with both Android and iOS.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

The company has also forayed into making chips for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/wearable">wearable</a> devices but hasn&#8217;t seen much success in that space.</p>
<p>Now, the company has revamped its wearable chips lineup with the launch of Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chips.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-471500 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1.jpeg?x10805" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 and W5+ Gen 1 SoC" width="1200" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1.jpeg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-1068x601.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-W5-Plus-Gen-1-747x420.jpeg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>The first major change is that the company has ditched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-wear">Snapdragon Wear</a> branding, and the newly announced chips will be a part of the main Snapdragon branding. Although the Wear branding has been removed, the chips are still aimed at wearable devices.</p>
<p>The Snapdragon W5 is aimed at budget or simpler devices like smartwatches aimed at kids, or <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/fitness-tracker">fitness trackers</a>, the Snapdragon W5 Plus is for more premium wearable devices. The main difference between W5 and W5+ Gen 1 is that the non-Plus model doesn&#8217;t come with an AON Co-Processor.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-471501 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1.jpeg?x10805" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 and W5+" width="1200" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1.jpeg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1-1068x601.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Snapdragon-W5-Gen-1-1-747x420.jpeg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>The platform keeps the hybrid architecture that was found in the Snapdragon Wear 3100 and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-wear-4100">4100 chips</a>. The new chips feature a main processor that takes care of interactive tasks, and there&#8217;s also a co-processor for an always-on display to help save battery life.</p>
<p>The co-processor can handle tasks related to audio, health tracking features, keyword detection for digital assistants, and notifications. It can also support onboard machine learning, but it&#8217;s up to the companies to make use of it.</p>
<p>Another major change comes in the form of the manufacturing process for the chips. The W5 and W5+ are manufactured using a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/4nm">4nm process</a> for the main processor, a huge jump from the 12nm process for the predecessors. The co-processor is made using a 22nm process, which is also an upgrade compared to the 28nm processor in its predecessor.</p>
