5G technologies continue to spread and develop. On the one hand, necessary infrastructure work for the use of this technology is ongoing all over the world, and on the other hand, efforts are being made to improve its performance and accessibility. Undoubtedly, Qualcomm is one of the companies that has made the most significant contributions to these studies. Most recently, the company introduced the Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 and X72 modems for future 5G. Here are the details…

Qualcomm introduces Snapdragon X75 and X72 modems for future 5G

Qualcomm has recently launched two new modems – Snapdragon X75 and X72 – that are designed to support 5G connectivity. Here’s a brief overview of both modems:

Snapdragon X75 modem

The Snapdragon X75 is a 5G modem that is built on a 4nm process node. It supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave bands and can achieve peak download speeds of up to 10Gbps. The modem also supports 5G standalone and non-standalone modes, as well as dual-SIM functionality. It is designed for use in smartphones, laptops, and other devices.

Snapdragon X72 modem

The Snapdragon X72 is another 5G modem that is built on a 10nm process node. It supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave bands and can achieve peak download speeds of up to 7.5Gbps. The modem also supports 5G standalone and non-standalone modes, as well as dual-SIM functionality. It is designed for use in smartphones and other mobile devices.

Supports peak download speeds of up to 7.5 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 3 Gbps.

Compatible with both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G spectrum.

Designed for use in mid-range smartphones and other mobile devices.

Features Qualcomm’s 5G PowerSave technology for improved battery life.

In addition to their support for 5G, both modems also feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X65 and X62 5G Modem-RF Systems, respectively, which provide advanced technologies such as Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), carrier aggregation, and 5G multi-SIM. These features are designed to improve network performance, increase coverage, and reduce power consumption. The Snapdragon X75 and X72 modems represent a significant step forward in the development of 5G technology. They offer faster download speeds, better coverage, and improved power efficiency, making them ideal for use in a wide range of devices.
