LG Electronics has just sent out an invite for the launch event of their upcoming flagship smartphone at the IFA trade show in Berlin 2019. The invitation is in the form of a 20-second clip that is posted on YouTube. It reveals a dual display LG phone that could be the LG V60 ThinQ phone may go official on Sept. 6.

The teaser video shows a game playing on a smartphone screen where the primary character, shaped as a smiling head, is chasing items shaped as a gamepad and a camera. The game resembles Pac-Man to some extent, if you remember the legend.

The game then moves on to a second screen to the left, where the character jumps to a map that is laid out. The character then reaches a point on the map, which is IFA 2019 in Berlin. Both screens then proceed to fold together with the message “Save the Date” popping out. The next message reads “10:00, Friday, September 6, 2019”. The IFA Tradeshow will take place in Berlin between September 6 and 11, 2019.

The clip teases a dual-screen smartphone, which many believe is the V60 ThinQ, if LG decides to stick with their usual moniker. Users will be able to use the dual-screen functionality to play games on their device, as showcased. While the larger display is primarily meant for gaming, the smaller screen is to be used for more utilitarian purposes.

LG had said earlier that the dual-screen display will be unveiled along with a new smartphone at a media conference taking place at the Pullman Hotel Berlin Schweizerhof. The upcoming device likely supports 5G connectivity like the LG V50 ThinQ that was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 earlier in February this year. The V50 ThinQ went on sale in the US market in June 2019.

The second screen on the V50 ThinQ can be used as a Bluetooth gamepad, for video playback and running other apps. It also acts as a flexible camera viewfinder. Similar functionality is expected from the V60 ThinQ as well. Other anticipated features on the smartphone include a triple rear camera setup, a Snapdragon 855 SoC, water resistance and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The OPPO Reno 5G smartphoneis available in European markets with a price tag of 899 euros. The handset is yet to arrive in China. Now that numerous Chinese smartphones OEMs are preparing to release their first 5G phones in the market, OPPO too is gearing up to debut the Reno 5G in the Chinese markets. Yesterday, a 3C listing of the smartphone was spotted. Today, the TENAA listing of the Reno 5G has cropped up.

The PCKM90 model number belongs to the OPPO Reno 5G smartphone for China. The 3C listing of the phone had revealed that it carries support for 5G networks. The listing also revealed that the smartphone will be shipped with 20W charger.

The PCKM90 TENAA listing has minimum information on its specifications. It reveals that the phone’s dimension is 162 x 77.2 x 9.3mm. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.65-inch display and the size of its battery is 3,975mAh battery. These specs resemble with the OPPO Reno 5G that’s available in Europe. The TENAA listing of the Reno 5G will be soon updated with its entire specs and images in the near future. There is a possibility that the Reno 5G will go official in China later in this month or in August.

OPPO Reno 5G Specifications

The OPPO Reno 5G is fitted with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display without notch. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. The full HD+ display has a fingerprint scanner beneath. The ColorOS 6 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device.

The Snapdragon 855 chipset powers the smartphone along with 8 GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 256 GB. There is a hybrid SIM slot on the device for expanding its storage. The 4,065mAh battery of the phone is equipped with 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology. It has a pop-up selfie camera of 16-megapixel that is assisted by an LED flash. The back side of the phone features a triple camera unit with Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a periscope 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom support.
