In June, Tecno announced the Spark Power 2 smartphone in India. Now the Chinese firm is gearing u to launch a weaker variant of the phone named Tecno Spark Power 2 Air. A promo page for the new phone is now live on the Flipkart retailer site.

The Tecno Spark Power 2 Air’s promo page on the Flipkart has revealed that it has a huge battery that can last for up to 4 days on a single charge. The phone will be flaunting quad rear cameras. It has a large waterdrop notch display and it has a huge 7-inch display. The landing page on Flipkart confirms that the Tecno Spark Power 2 Air will be debuting at 12 PM IST on Sept. 14.

The Tecno Spark Power 2 had arrived with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 (~$135) in India. The Spark Power 2 Air could be priced lower than the Spark Power 2. According to a report by GSMArena, the Spark Power 2 could be priced under Rs. 9,000 (~$120). The device will be backed by a 6,000mAh battery.

The publication has also shared a render of the smartphone. It reveals that the phone has a dedicated smart key for accessing Google Assistant apart from power and volume buttons. There is no information on the other specs of the device.

Tecno Spark Power 2 specifications

The Spark Power 2’s 7-inch IPS LCD screen produces 720 x 1460 pixels resolution. The HiOS 6.1 based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the smartphone. The Helio P22 chipset powered phone has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It has a quad-camera system that includes a 16-megapixel main snapper, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a depth sensor. It has a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. The 7,000mAh battery of the Spark Power 2 is coupled with 18W fast charging technology through microUSB 2.0. It has other features such as a microSD card, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Chinese brand Tecno is gearing up to launch a new smartphone called Tecno Spark Power 2. The microsite for the smartphone is now active on the e-commerce platform Flipkart. The moniker suggests that it will be arriving as the successor for the Tecno Spark Power from 2019. The specifications of the upcoming smartphone are not known yet. However, the microsite has revealed some of the key specs of the device, and its set to debut on June 17.

The microsite for the Spark Power 2 describes it as the “best battery smartphone.” By charging it once, it can last for up to 4 days and 10 minutes of charging will it deliver 3 hours of battery. There is a possibility that the handset could be coming with a large-sized battery with rapid charging capabilities. The predecessor handset had housed a 6,000mAh battery. Hence, it is likely that the Spark Power 2 could be also come with the same-sized battery, if not larger.

The bottom edge of the Tecno Spark Power 2 features of a 3.5mm audio jack, a microUSB port, and an external speaker grille. Spark Power 2 is expected to arrive in at least two color variants such as black and blue. The handset is equipped with a waterdrop notch display and it features a quad camera setup on its back. Lastly, the phone has stereo speakers.

The app listing for the smartphone reveals that it costs Rs. 9,999 (~$131) in India. The handset will debut on June 17 at 12 PM (local time).

In related news, Tecno unveiled the Tecno Spark 5 phone last month in India with a price tag of Rs. 7,999 (~$105). It has a 6.6-inch HD+ punch-hole display, His 5.1 based Android 10 OS, Helio A22 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of built-in storage, 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel + AI lens quad-camera setup, 8-megapixel front camera and a 5,000mAh battery.
