Streamview has recently launched a new Nokia-branded 50-inch 4K TV, model number UNE50GV210I, a successor to the 5000A model. This television boasts a sleek design, featuring the iconic Nokia logo (old), and is priced at 390 Euros ($427). Earlier this month, the company also introduced the 24/32/40/43-inch TV series.

StreamView has been launching Nokia TVs since October 2020. The company announced a strategic partnership with Nokia in October 2020, under which it acquired exclusive rights to sell Nokia-branded Smart TVs and Streaming Devices in Europe. The first Nokia TVs launched by StreamView were unveiled in November 2020, and the company has continued to release new models in the years since.

Coming to the specs, the TV showcases a stunning 4K Ultra HD display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. It supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision, enhancing the visual experience with vivid colors and deeper contrasts. The sound quality is also notable, featuring Dolby Digital Plus and DTS sound support, along with two 10W speakers.

Under the hood, the TV is powered by an ARM Cortex-CA55 Quad-Core CPU and a Mali 470 MP3 GPU. It comes with 1.5GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of eMMC flash storage, which should provide adequate performance for most TV applications and streaming services. The operating system is Android 9, offering a user-friendly interface and access to a wide range of apps and features.

Connectivity options are extensive. It includes 4 HDMI ports (with 1 supporting ARC and all supporting CEC), 2 USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet LAN port for wired internet connections, and a CI+ interface for conditional access modules. The TV also supports wireless connectivity with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.

For streaming enthusiasts, the TV is a hub of entertainment. It comes with built-in Chromecast, allowing you to stream content from your phone to the TV. It supports popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube, though subscription fees are not included. The TV also features Google Assistant for voice searches and a variety of over 7000 apps from the Google Play Store.

In terms of physical dimensions, the TV measures 1119 mm in width, 235 mm in depth (66 mm without stand), and 699 mm in height (647 mm without stand). It weighs 9 kg and is available in Black. The package includes the TV, feet, a Bluetooth voice remote control with two AAA batteries, and a quick guide. The TV can be wall-mounted, although the necessary mount is not included in the package.

In October, five upcoming Nokia-branded smart TVs were spotted on Bluetooth SIG. Two months later, these televisions are now official.

For the unaware, there are multiple Nokia brand licensees for televisions. These new products are from StreamView GmbH, an Austrian company that operates in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The new Nokia TVs arrive in multiple sizes and two different screen resolutions. Let’s check out their features.

StreamView’s first Nokia Google TV models are here

The latest televisions from StreamView are collectively called ‘Nokia Google TV.’ As their name suggests, they ship with the Google TV software based on Android 12 for TV. The company’s previous TVs lacked the fresh software from Google.

All the new models are powered by the same chipset. This unnamed silicon includes a quad-core CPU comprising ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.45GHz and Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.

The aforementioned chip is further paired with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB storage. This hardware combo is entry-level, and therefore, the TVs may get slower down the line.

As mentioned earlier, the televisions come in multiple sizes. Customers can choose from either 24-inch, 32-inch, 40-inch, or 43-inch.

The 24-inch and 32-inch variants come with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels) and can be operated at 12V. Thus, they can be used in mobile homes, camps, and other places with lower power supply.

On the other hand, 40-inch and 43-inch versions offer FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). A second 32-inch variant is also offered in this flavor.

Unsurprisingly, the televisions support all the leading streaming services, Google Chromecast built-in, and Google Assistant via voice-enabled remote control. Wireless connectivity options include both WiFi and Bluetooth.

They come with various ports, such as 3 x HDMI 1.4,  2 x USB 2.0, 1 x S/PDIF, AV in, triple tuner, and Ethernet. Lastly, they are also SatCR compliant (SCD) and support CI+.

Streamview is yet to announce the pricing and availability of these TVs, which may vary across markets.

NokiaMob has spotted upcoming Nokia-branded smart TVs on Bluetooth SIG. There will be a total of 5 models and all of them will support Bluetooth 5.1.

The ‘HN’ models will come with HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels). Whereas, the ‘FN’ models will offer FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).

As far as sizes are concerned, the HD TVs will be available in 24 and 32 inches. On the other hand, the FHD TVs will come in 32, 40, and 43 inches.

These televisions are manufactured by Express Luck Technology Limited. This company has an annual production capacity of 8 million devices in China. It even makes Sharp-branded TVs.

Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on these forthcoming Nokia smart TVs. They will most likely boot Android TV or perhaps the new Google TV. There should also be support for all the leading streaming platforms.

Lately, Nokia has been licensing its branding to various firms. The latest company to sign such a deal with the Finnish company is StreamView GmbH. This Austrian company has now become the official Nokia brand licensee to sell smart TVs, set-top boxes, and DAB+ radios in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The first product from this company is called Nokia Streaming Box 8000 manufactured by SEI Robotics. It will be available for purchase before Christmas.

Nokia Streaming Box 8000 Specifications & Features

The new Nokia Streaming Box 8000 has more specs than any other regular streaming devices available in the market. It is powered by quad-core Amlogic S905X3 chipset with 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores and ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. Unfortunately, the amount of RAM is not known at the moment but we expect it to be no less than 2GB.

The streaming device features dual-band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 along with a wide variety of ports like USB 3.0 Type-A, USB Type-C, Ethernet, HDMI, optical audio, AV, and DC power-in.

The set-top box supports 4K streaming but the specs don’t say anything about Dolby Vision/Atmos. However, it should support at least HDR10 since the chipset underneath the device is more than capable of.

Further, the new Nokia-branded streaming device runs Android TV 10 operating system and will ship with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video pre-installed. Whereas, other popular streaming apps like Disney+ can be installed from the Google Play Store.

Nokia Streaming Box 8000 Pricing & Availability

The Nokia Streaming Box 8000 is priced at €100 and will go on sale before Christmas in select European countries. The retail package will include the set-top box, a remote control, a power adapter, and an HDMI cable.
