With the lockdowns due to COVID-19 pandemic, kids around the world are continuing their education at home. Similarly, more people are working from home than ever before. This led to the rise of the global tablet market and Lenovo even became the fastest-growing tablet brand in Q2 2020, according to Canalys. Now, a new report by IDC says that Educational Tablet market in China also witnessed 29.9% YoY increase in the last quarter.

The IDC report points out the Educational Tablet Market in China to decline by 9.2% YoY in Q1 2020 but it was less compared to the ordinary tablet market’s 29.8% YoY decline. The research firm says that it was due to reduced production capacity and therefore, with improvement in production, China Educational Tablet Market grew 29.9% YoY in Q2 2020.

As usual, BBK, the parent company of OPPO, vivo, OnePlus, realme, and iQOO lead the market with a whopping 41.8%  share. Whereas, brands like ReadBoy, youxupeai, Subor, and Ozing secured second, third, fourth, and fifth positions with 10.4%, 9.1%, 8.3%, and 4.4% market shares respectively.

As per IDC, most sales occurred through offline retailers, closely followed by online retailers. The firm also noted that celebrity endorsements and advertisements were the key factors supporting these sales.

But what about the bezeless device? Meet the Subor S3, the world’s first smartphone, which has no side bezels. The company officially describes it as “The worlds first dual-4G smartphone without bezels”.

The S3 is equipped with a 5inch 720p screen, it has the body size of 141.5 × 70.3 × 7.8 mm. In addition to this, this phone is equipped with the MTK6732 quad-core chip and it is running Android 4.4 OS. What is more, the device has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space (expandable via Micro SD card slot). The whole package is powered by 1700mAh capacity battery and 8-megapixel camera on the back with the f/2.0 aperture and another 8MP unit on the front.

Moreover, the Subor S3’s body is covered by the dual Gorilla Glass 3’s (one on the front and another on the back). Also, the device will be available in Black and White colour options. Finally, it is priced at 1399 Yuan and it is now on sale in China. International availability is unknown, but it should be available via international resellers pretty soon.

Recently, Subor’s new phone has been listed at China’s MIT under the model number, “Subor X7.”

Unlike the Subor X3 which mimicked the Mi 4, the Subor X7 mimics the Meizu MX3 in its panda design (black front/white rear) and having the round Home button located in the front panel. It is much bigger than the MX3, however.

Furthermore, the front camera lens and position are different from the MX3’s although there is not any clear information about that as of now.

An industry source estimates that 10% from 400 million of family inc China was purchase if game products, the average consumption of 2,000 yuan, plus the consumption of music, film, theme parks and other derivatives, annually bring a billion dollar market.

From the market capacity and growth point of view, the game industry was in 2014 relatively fast growth of the industry sector, along with the increasing popularity of game consoles and smart TVs.
