Xiaomi‘s crowdfunding platform has been the rallying point for most of the interesting gadgets that have been launched by the company. Last year, Xiaomi crowdfunded a sleek CIGA design mechanical watch. The product turned out to be a very popular one, perhaps because of the affordable pricing and the design. Of course, durability played a key role because mechanical watches never die.

The company has now announced a second-generation model of the mechanical watch which it dubs T-series CIGA Design mechanical watch. The watch utilises a transparent design which shows the stainless steel mechanical components crammed inside. You get to see both the bottom and top insides of the watch.

The is purely mechanical and doesn’t feature any other component other than the mechanical parts. It is a minimalist design but the finishing gives it a classy and premium look.

The T-Series CIGA Design mechanical watch costs 499 yuan ($72) during the crowdfunding exercise. However, after the crowdfunding exercise, the watch will be 699 yuan ($101). The watch is available in two versions differentiated by the colour of the rubber straps. There are black and orange straps. Usually, mechanical watches have a business exec accessory-like outlook due to leather straps they usually feature. The CIGA Design mechanical watch looks sporty due to the rubber straps.
