<p>TCL CSOT presented its latest professional and commercial display innovations at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, held in Barcelona, Spain. The company, a subsidiary of TCL Technology, used the global exhibition to demonstrate how advanced display technologies can improve efficiency, sustainability, and user experience across multiple industries.</p>

<h3><strong>APEX Display Philosophy</strong></h3>

<p>At the core of TCL CSOT’s showcase was its APEX display philosophy. APEX stands for Amazing Display Experience, Protective of Eye Health, Eco-Friendly to Build and Use, and X-Unlimited Imaginative Potential. This approach focuses on creating human-centric display solutions that go beyond traditional specifications and prioritize real-world usability and long-term sustainability.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="457" height="617" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-30.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726013" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-30.png 457w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-30-222x300.png 222w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-30-311x420.png 311w" sizes="(max-width: 457px) 100vw, 457px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Professional and Educational Displays</strong></h3>

<p>One of the key highlights was a 27-inch In-Cell Touch Ultra-Thin Smart Display designed for education and collaborative workspaces. By integrating touch directly into the panel, the display achieves a slim and lightweight design while delivering Full HD resolution, 99% sRGB color accuracy, and a virtual 120Hz touch sampling rate. These features enable smooth, precise interaction for classrooms, meetings, and mobile work environments.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="431" height="589" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-28.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726011" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-28.png 431w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-28-220x300.png 220w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-28-307x420.png 307w" sizes="(max-width: 431px) 100vw, 431px" /><figcaption>E-Paper Signage</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>TCL CSOT also showcased a 13.3-inch E-Paper signage display powered by E Ink Spectra 6. The display uses ambient light instead of a backlight, resulting in extremely low power consumption. With a standby power of just 0.01W and a battery life of up to 18 months, it is positioned as a sustainable solution for professional and commercial signage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="790" height="451" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-29.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726012" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-29.png 790w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-29-300x171.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-29-768x438.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-29-696x397.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-29-736x420.png 736w" sizes="(max-width: 790px) 100vw, 790px" /><figcaption>Alipay Smart Handheld POS</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Commercial, Outdoor, and Event Solutions</strong></h3>

<p>For retail and payment applications, TCL CSOT introduced its first all-in-one Alipay Smart Handheld POS display, supporting NFC, QR code payments, and multi-mode connectivity. The company also revealed ultra-high brightness outdoor displays reaching 4000 nits, designed for reliable performance in direct sunlight. The showcase concluded with a 163-inch MLED display for exhibitions and live events, highlighting TCL CSOT’s leadership in premium commercial display solutions.</p>

Now, it appears that both the companies are taking their relationship to the next level.</p>
<p>As per the reports, TCL will now be supplying <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oled">OLED panels</a> for smartphones to Samsung Electronics. This is surprising given that Samsung has so far relied on its own subsidiary for the display panel needs.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-406582 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1.jpeg?x44794" alt="TCL Logo" width="1300" height="681" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1.jpeg 1300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1-300x157.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1-768x402.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1-1024x536.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1-696x365.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1-1068x559.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/TCL-1-802x420.jpeg 802w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></p>
<p>The development was first reported by <em>DigiTimes</em> and was later confirmed by <a href="http://app.cheaa.com/readnews.php?contentid=595047">another report</a> from China Securities Journal which claims that <em>&#8220;TCL China Star will be supplying OLED panels for smartphones to Samsung Electronics.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tcl">TCL</a> will be a supplier for Samsung but it marks the first time TCL supplying OLED panels to Samsung for its smartphones. TCL is also providing more than 15 percent of Samsung&#8217;s LCD panel requirements for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smart-tv">Smart TVs</a> and the South Korean giant is its second-largest customer.</p>
<p>Last week, announcing its financial results for the first half of this year, TCL Technology revealed its operating income at 74.299 billion yuan, which represents an increase of 153.29 percent year-on-year. The company added that its entire OLED shipments in the first half of this year have exceeded that of the last year and its market share also increased, resulting in it taking the fourth position globally.</p>

<p>Liao Qian, Senior Vice President of TCL Technology <a href="https://www.163.com/dy/article/G4QIN8C50511RIVP.html">claims</a> that Samsung has more than 20 percent of the Smart TV market share for the past five years. This, in turn, helps TCL as the company provides more than 15 percent of the large-size display panels, making Samsung the second-largest customer of the company.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-317935 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/tcl-logo.jpg?x44794" alt="TCL" width="600" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/tcl-logo.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/tcl-logo-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/tcl-logo-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/tcl-logo-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/tcl-logo-560x420.jpg 560w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>For those who are unaware, last year, in August, TCL Technology <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/31/samsung-display-sells-suzhou-lcd-plant/">had acquired a 60 percent stake</a> in Suzhou Samsung Electronics LCD Technology Co. and a 100 percent stake in Suzhou Samsung Display Co. for a price of around $1.08 billion. As a part of that transaction, Samsung Display paid about $739 million to become the Chinese company&#8217;s second-largest shareholder with a 12.3 percent stake.</p>
<p>With the purchase of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a>&#8216;s units, the company aims to become the largest LCD TV panel vendor and also plans to expand its product portfolio. Last year, TCL was the second-largest LCD panel maker for TVs globally, lagging behind China&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/boe">BOE Technology Group</a>.</p>
<p>By selling off its units <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/lcd">LCD Display</a> manufacturing units to TCL, South Korean giant Samsung accelerated the exit from the LCD sector as the company has moved its focus towards LED and other new display types.</p>

<p>The move is in line with the company&#8217;s plan to stop the production of LCD panels by the end of this year. The South Korean company is now shifting its focus towards the production of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/led">LED</a> panels and the next-generation QD panels.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-339633 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-LCD-Plant.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Suzhou LCD Plant " width="600" height="319" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-LCD-Plant.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Samsung-LCD-Plant-300x160.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>Samsung Display has announced that the company has signed an agreement to sell its entire stake in Suzhou production line to TCL Huaxing, a subsidiary of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tcl">TCL</a> Technology, in a deal worth around $1.08 billion.</p>
<p>It handed over around 60 percent stake in a fab in charge of front-end processes and a 100 percent stake in a back-end module production line at the Suzhou plant to TCL Huaxing. Following this deal, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> Display has also acquired a 12.33 percent stake in TCL Huaxing for $739 million.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK:</span> </strong><a title="Render of Samsung Wireless Charger that can charge three devices at a go leaks" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/30/render-of-samsung-wireless-charger-that-can-charge-three-devices-at-a-go-leaks/" rel="bookmark"><strong>Render of Samsung Wireless Charger that can charge three devices at a go leak online</strong></a></p>
<p>The plant can handle production of 160,000 sheets per month and is currently processing 120,000 sheets of glass per month. It is currently used for producing 32-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch panels for mainstream products in the market.</p>
<p>With this acquisition, TCL Technology now has three 8.5th-generation lines and two 11th- generation lines for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/lcd">LCD</a> panel production. It seems that the company is seeking to expand its market share in the display segment without spending much money on setting up its own production facilities.</p>
