The Camon 19 Pro Mondrain Edition comes with a special color-changing back panel that changes color from white to mirror the works of Mondrain when it comes into contact with sunlight.

It features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has super slim bezels, a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM, 5GB of virtual RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage. The device is powered by Android 12 with the HiOS 8.6 skin on top. The battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh and supports 33W fast charging.

Last month, Tecno launched the Camon 19 Pro 5G smartphone in the Indian market. And today, the brand has revealed a special edition device in the Camon lineup called the Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition.

Spec-wise, the device is the same as the Tecno Camon Pro launched for the global market back in June. However, it features a special paint job on the back, which is an homage to the famous Dutch painter and art theoretician, Pier Mondrian. It starts off white and changes color, then the back comes in contact with sunlight. The color-changing technology of the phone has been dubbed “Sunlight Drawing” by the company.

In addition to the artwork on the back panel, the device also has an interesting-looking camera island that resembles a Panda.

Tecno is reportedly gearing up to launch the Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition in India next month (September). It will likely have the same specifications as the Camon 19 Pro but will flaunt an entirely unique design. The Mondrian edition smartphone uses polychromatic photoisomer technology that enables it to change color in sunlight, something Vivo has been doing for years.

MySmartPrice, citing industry sources, claims that Tecno is preparing to launch a new smartphone dubbed, Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition in India in September. The exact launch date is yet to be specified.

Further, the publication claims the smartphone will feature the same specifications as the Tecno Camon 19 Pro that was launched earlier this month. In addition, the company has already revealed the design of the phone through a Youtube video.

The phone can be seen to have multiple rectangular blocks on the back. In normal conditions, the phone is having a white colored back panel but in the presence of sunlight, its back panel changes colors. Unlike the Vivo’s V25 Pro, the Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition shows multiple colors when exposed to sunlight. The overall design of the phone looks quite interesting and premium.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition will flaunt a 6.8-inch tall IPS LCD panel offering Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. Under the hood, it will be powered by a Mediatek Helio G96 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage.
