Tecno Camon 19, 19 Neo design & specs teased ahead of Indian launch

Last month, Tecno launched the Camon 19 series smartphones in the global market. The series consists of the Camon 19, the Camon 19 Neo, and the Camon 19 Pro. The brand has now teased the device for an upcoming Indian launch. So, let’s take a look at what we know so far.

The devices teased for the upcoming Indian debut are the Camon 19 and the Camon 19 Neo, while there is no word if the Pro model is also coming to the Indian market. The teaser on Tecno’s website reveals that the Camon 19 will come with the industry’s first 64-megapixel RGBW sensor and will carry slim bezels that measure just 0.98mm.

On the other hand, the Camon 19 Neo has received a dedicated microsite on Amazon India revealing most of its specifications. Starting from the front, the device will come with a 6.8-inch display with a centered punch hole for the selfie camera. It is likely an IPS LCD display that will feature Full HD+ resolution.

Other than that, the device will have 6GB RAM that can be extended by up to 5GB and NFC support. Going by the global launch, we can expect the device to have 128 GB of built-in storage and micro-SD card support. It will likely come with a large 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Moving on to the cameras, the device is confirmed to feature a triple camera unit with a 48-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, the device will house a 32-megapixel selfie snapper. Lastly, the device will be available in three color options in the country – Ice Mirror (Blue), Eco Black, and Dreamland Green.

TECNO launches its latest CAMON 19 series at the iconic Rockefeller Centre in New York. This premium smartphone series focuses on low and dim light photography and takes night time imagery to a new level, thanks to its 64MP bright night portrait photography technology.

TECNO CAMON 19 series comes with two phones viz. CAMON 19 and 19 Pro. Both smartphones are designed to give you advanced photography options and have won the iF Design Award 2022 for outstanding product design for its slim bezel and an ingenious dual-ring triple-camera layout.

Other interesting features include a 2X optical zoom lens, OIS+EIS Stabilization, Portrait mode, AI face beauty technology, etc.

TECNO CAMON 19 Pro features a 6.8-inch FHD+ display and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It flaunts an extremely thin bezel that gives you an expansive visual experience. Tecno has announced the imminent launch of the Camon 19 series for the global market. The launch of the latest lineup from the Chinese tech company is slated for June 14. The upcoming Tecno Camon 19 series will be unveiled at a New York City event on the scheduled date.

The news indicates that Tecno is making inroads into the United States with its CAMON 19 lineup. The Camon 19 series include the CAMON 19 Pro and it will be showcased during the event. Tecno continues to make significant steps into the global market with its entry into the United States. The launch is the company’s first-ever event in the US. It will focus on premium products for the higher echelons of the US market.

Tecno says the Camon 19 series is a perfect blend combining stylish designs and cutting-edge technology to deliver reliable products. This comes on the back of the recent award garnered by the Camon 19 series. TECNO CAMON 19 series confirmed to use RGBW lens technology developed jointly with Samsung

TECNO during MWC 2022 announced that the CAMON 19 series will be using the RGBW high-transparency crystal molded lens for its camera. The technology has been developed by the company jointly with Samsung.

TECNO says that the technology adds white sub-pixels to the original RGB three primary color implementation to form an RGBW pixel arrangement. The additional white pixel helps produce a more refined color tone since a regular RGB implementation can’t produce pure white.

TECNO’s solution is further enhanced by Samsung’s ISOCELL technology to improve light sensitivity, reduce light crosstalk, and bring a better low-light shooting experience.

Reports suggest that the said RGBW sensor will have a resolution of 64MP and will improve incoming light capture performance by up to 60%. In addition, the pricier and more effective Glass+Plastic lens assembly will be used, which performs better than all-plastic lenses.

Not much is known about the CAMON 19 series itself but the lineup is said to comprise four models including the CAMON 19 Pro 5G and CAMON 19 Neo. Apart from this, there are no other details about the CAMON 19 phones. But we could see them popping up on certification sites soon, which should reveal some specs.
