On May 28, Tecno launched the Camon 20 series of smartphones in India. The lineup includes three models, such as the Tecno Camon 20, the Camon 20 Pro 5G, and the Camon 20 Premier 5G. The Camon 20 is already available for purchase in the country, with a price tag of Rs 14,999. The brand confirmed that the Pro and Premier models will be available for purchase in the second and third weeks of June, respectively. Last week, the company began taking pre-orders for the Camon 20 Pro 5G. The brand has now confirmed the sale date of the device.

Tecno has confirmed that the Camon 20 Pro 5G will be available for purchase starting at 12 pm (local time) on June 15 in India. Until then, customers can pre-book the device on Amazon through this page. Those who pre-order will receive Tecno wireless earbuds as a complimentary gift.

The Camon 20 Pro 5G comes in two options in India: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. These variants are priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively. It comes in two shades, such as Dark Welkin and Serenity Blue.

Tecno has launched the Camon 20 series smartphones in India. The lineup comprises standard, pro, and premier variants. These arrive as the successor to the last year’s Camon 19 series. The latest offerings are quite identical to each other apart from a few differences. Read on to know more below.

The Tecno Camon 20 series sports a center-aligned punch-hole AMOLED display measuring 6.67 inches with an integrated fingerprint scanner. It offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. All three phones have a geometric pattern on the leather back panel housing a pentagonal-shaped camera island.

It appears some of these or all four phones will be heading to the Indian market. Ahead of the official announcement, the Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro 5G are now listed on Tecno India’s website. Last week, Tecno unveiled the Camon 20 series. The 2023 lineup includes four models, namely Camon 20 Premier 5G, Camon 20 Pro 5G, Camon 20 Pro, and Camon 20.

The Tecno Camon series is known for its camera features, just like its name suggests. The latest devices are no different as they come with three exciting camera-related features, which the brand officially calls ‘Ultimage’.

The company revealed these features at a conference in India today. At the same time. It hinted at the release timeline of these phones in the country.

Tecno’s Ultimage stands for ‘ultimate imaging experience.’ The brand uses sensor and AI processing to deliver ‘Ultimate Stabilization’, ‘Ultimate Portrait’, and ‘Ultimate Night Shot’ on the Camon 20 series.

The first and third features are exclusive to the Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G since the hardware required for them is only available on this phone. The handset arrives with a 50MP 1/1.56-inch RGBW primary sensor with sensor-shift OIS support.

On the other hand, the portrait feature is available on all the models. In addition to the algorithm upgrade, the handsets also come with 5+ new filters and an ‘Image Repair’ feature.

Finally, Tecno reveals that the latest-gen Camon smartphones will release in India by the end of May. Going by the devices mentioned in the press release, the company may not launch the 4G version of the pro variant. So there will be three models instead of four.

On the imaging front, the Tecno Camon 20 and Camon 20 Pro feature a 64MP main sensor paired with a 2MP macro unit and an AI lens. The Pro model’s 5G version has the newly announced Dimensity 8050 – which is essentially a rebadged Dimensity 1300. The Camon 20 Premier is also powered by the same chipset as the Camon 20 Pro 5G. All four phones pack 8GB RAM along with 8GB virtual RAM. There is 256GB native storage onboard except for the Camon 20 Premier which packs 512GB storage. The smartphones also feature a heat dissipation system.

The Tecno Camon 20 series is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging on the standard and pro models. The Camon 20 Premier features 45W fast charging.

The Tecno Camon 20 series comes in Serenity Blue and Predawn Black colours. The pricing and availability of the smartphones has not been announced yet.

Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G FCC, Bluetooth SIG certified, Rear Design Revealed

Tecno’s new smartphone, model number CK8n, has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Bluetooth. These certifications have revealed the key specifications of the device. In addition, one of the FCC documents revealed the design of the phone’s rear.

To begin with, a Tecno phone with model number CK8n has appeared in the database of the Bluetooth SIG. The listing confirms that the device will be called the Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G when it arrives on the market. The listing also reveals support for Bluetooth 5.3.

The FCC has approved the exact same device. The listing reveals that the device measures 163 x 76 x 8mm, which indicates that it may house a smaller display than the Camon 19 Pro 5G. The reason behind it is that the Camon 19 Pro 5G measures 166.7 x 74.3 x 8.6mm and houses a 6.8-inch display.

There is a possibility that the device may come equipped with a MediaTek chipset.

The Camon 20 Pro 5G’s schematic, available in the FCC documents, shows that it could be equipped with a triple camera unit. The right edge of the device has volume buttons and a power key.

In related news, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) certified the Camon 20 Premier 5G in January. Hence, it appears that the lineup may include at least three models, such as Camon 20, 20 Premier 5G, and Camon 20 Pro 5G.
