Tecno has just announced a new smartphone from its Pova series. The new model in question is the Pova Neo 5G, which is a mid range handset with some notable specifications. So let’s have a look.

The new Pova Neo 5G sports a tall 6.8 inch LCD panel that has a Full HD+ resolution, 393 ppi pixel density, and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate as well. This panel can output a maximum brightness of 500nits and houses a center aligned punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. Under the hood, the device is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC that is paired with a Mali G57 GPU.

On the rear, the device features a vertically stacked dual camera setup that includes a 50 megapixel primary lens and an AI sensor that is coupled with an LED flash module. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32 megapixel selfie shooter. The new Tecno Pova Neo 5G is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery pack that supports 18W fast charging via a USB Type C port. Other notable features include, a dedicated microSD card slot, DTS audio technology, and a side mounted fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone has been launching in two color variants, namely a Sprint Blue and a Sapphire Black option. Furthermore, it runs on the Android 12 OS based HiOS 8.6 custom skin. The handset is only offered in a single 4GB + 128GB storage configuration and is available from retail stores for a price tag of 15,499 INR.

At the beginning of this year, Tecno launched the Tecno Pova Neo smartphone in India. The main highlight of this handset is its huge battery. Months after its debut in the country, the phone is about to get a 5G variant very soon. Let’s take a look at all the details that are already out.

According to a report by RootMyGalaxy, the upcoming Tecno Pova Neo 5G has made its appearance on the IMEI database. The device carries the model number LE6J.

The handset is said to be available in 4GB + 64GB memory configuration in India. Customers will be able to pick it up in either orange or blue color options.

Talking about specs, the Tecno Pova Neo 5G is tipped to flaunt a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole. It will be powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset.

The handset will boot Android 12. It will offer up to a 5GB virtual RAM option and Panther Game Engine 2.0 optimization.

It will come with 6 5G bands and WiFi 6. Finally, it will be backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

As far as the launch is concerned, the Tecno Pova Neo 5G is expected to go official in India around July-August.
