An upcoming Tecno POVA smartphone has been spotted in a video clip. It has been shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal. The clip gives us a glimpse at the upcoming offering. However, the exact name and launch timeline of the forthcoming Tecno POVA remains a mystery. 

Upcoming Tecno POVA to come with LED light on the back panel

As seen in the video, the upcoming Tecno POVA phone will feature an LED light strip on the back panel around the camera module. Ishan says that the new functionality will be called ‘Arc Interface’ and the LED strip will light up on receiving notifications. The lights can also be seen in various colors.  

The functionality looks quite cool, however, it’s not the first time we’ve spotted it on a Tecno phone. Last year’s Tecno POVA 3 also had a vertical light strip on the back panel.  The upcoming POVA phone has a glossy finish camera module with two sensors and an LED flash unit. The right side of the back panel seems to have a carbon-fiber-like pattern. 

Tecno already launched the POVA 5 in the global markets last month and the brand is teasing the POVA Neo 3. However, it remains to be seen which device will feature the LED light strip. Notably, both phones have the same back panel design, however, the POVA 5 does not have any LED strip. 

We will have to wait for more details about the upcoming mysterious POVA device.

Chinese phone maker Tecno launched the all-new Pova Neo entry-level smartphone in Nigeria. The device was teased frequently and finally, it’s official without ringing any bells. The major highlights of the smartphone are the massive 6,000mAh battery, MediaTek SoC, and its appealing design.

The Tecno Pova Neo is priced at N72,500(~$177) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The device comes in three colour options – Geek Blue, Obsidian Black, and Powehi. It is up for sale in both online and offline stores in the country.

The smartphone comes with an appealing design featuring a 6.8-inch notch display. It has a large 6.8-inch display with an HD+(1640 x 720 pixels) resolution. It has a 120Hz touch sampling rate and a thin-bezel design.

It comes equipped with a dual-camera system with a 13MP main sensor and an unknown secondary lens. Upfront, it has an 8MP camera for selfies. Tecno introduced its POVA gaming smartphone line by announcing the Tecno POVA smartphone in markets like Nigeria and the Philippines in the recent past. Today, the company introduced the gaming-focused mid-range phone in India with an enticing price tag of Rs 9,999 (~$135)

The Tecno POVA has arrived in two editions in India such as 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at Rs 9,999 (~$135) and Rs 10,999 (~$149), respectively. The phone will go on sale in India through Flipkart starting at 12 PM on Dec. 11. It can be bought in colors like Magic Blue, Speed Purple, and Dazzle Black.

The Tecno POVA houses a massive 6.8-inch LCD screen with a punch-hole design. It supports an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a rear-positioned fingerprint reader and it boots to HiOS 7.0 based Android 10 OS.

A landing page for the Tecno Pova has appeared on Flipkart, an Indian retailer site. The listing confirms that the smartphone will be announced in India on Dec. 4. Except for Tecno Pova’s price in India, all the details on its specifications are already known since it has already gone official in other markets such as Nigeria and the Philippines.

Expectations have been high conerning the release of the Tecno POVA smartphone by the Trassion Holidng company Tecno mobile. The renders and specifications of the smartphone was revealed in October. Tecno has now officially unveiled the smartphone in Nigeria.

Tecno POVA is a decent mid-range smartphone which seems to be designed for gaming considering the monstrous 6000mAh battery onboard which can “last a century.” Lol. The POVA packs a 6.8-inch display with a punch-hole design for the selfie camera. The phone has a dimension of 171.2 x 77.57 x 9.4mm, weighing in at 185g.

The rear panel is manufactured with stylish Multilayer Graphite + Thermal Conducive Gel which improves the heat dissipation and reduces charging temperature rise. It comes in glossy texture and is available in there color options. There is a Quad camera setup at the back arranged beautifully at th top left corner of the panel. The sensors include a 13MP F/1.85 aperture clear lens, 2MP depth control lens, 2MP macro lens for ultrawide and a 0.3 MP lowlight AI lens as well as a super quad flash.

The Tecno POVA is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and there is 64GB storage onboard. The phone runs on the custom HiOS 7.0 based on Android 10 OS.

As stated earlier, the device boasts of a mammoth 6000mAh Li-polymer, non-removable battery. The phone comes with support for 18W dual IC flash charge. There is equally a rear-mounted fingerprint sensoron the device. The price of the device is unknown but apparently, it is on sale already in the Philippines for P6,999 ($145) via TECNO MOBILE Official Store in Shopee. Tecno is expected to launch the smartphone in India on December 24.
