Tecno launched the Spark 10 5G smartphone in India last month. It was introduced in a sole 4GB + 64GB RAM and storage configuration. Now the brand has announced a new variant of the phone. It packs double the RAM and storage compared to its base model. 

The new variant of the Tecno Spark 10 5G packs 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. There is support for 8GB virtual RAM technology. The core specifications of the latest option remain the same as the base model. The Spark 10 5G 8GB + 128GB option is priced at Rs 14,499 and is available for purchase at the nearest retail stores in the country. 

The Tecno Spark 10 5G features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The back panel has a Tetris-like design with one big ring and another small ring housing a 50MP main sensor and an AI lens respectively. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper. The Tecno Spark 10 5G has a 6.6-inch display bearing an HD resolution and a waterdrop notch. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 480 nits peak brightness. 

Internally the Tecno Spark 10 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor. It is offered in 4GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage options with the latter expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. The device is equipped with a 11851mm graphite sheet for heat dissipation. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery unit supporting 18W fast charging.

The Tecno Spark 10 5G runs on HiOS 12.6 based on Android 13 OS. Connectivity options on the smartphone include a USB-C port, NFC, Dual 5G, and a 3.5mm jack.

The Tecno Spark 105G is offered in Meta Black, Meta White, and Meta Blue colors.

It is also the first 5G device in the company’s Spark lineup. The smartphone falls under the Rs 15,000 price segment in India. Read on to know what it offers out of the box.

Earlier this month, Tecno announced the Spark 10 Pro for the global market. Its press release also confirmed the existence of other Spark 10 Universe phones, such as the Spark 10 C, Spark 10, and Spark 10 5G. As per a new tweet released by the brand, the first of the Spark 10 series phones will debut in three days in India. Hence, it appears that the Spark 10 Pro may launch on March 23 in India. There is a possibility that the Spark 10 5G may debut alongside the Pro model.

In the poster shown below, Tecno teased two smartphones. The green, white, and black models seen in the image are three color variants of the Spark 10 Pro. The blue model with a different rear design appears to be the Tecno Spark 10 5G. A recent report, which carried leaked shots of the Spark 10 5G, revealed that it has a 6.6-inch FHD+ display, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel main camera on the back, a Dimensity chip, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. Here is a look at the specifications of the Spark 10 Pro.

Tecno Spark 10 Pro specifications

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with a dual-LED flash. The back panel of the phone features a 50-megapixel main camera, two auxiliary cameras, and a dual-LED flash.

The Helio G88 chipset is present under the hood of the Spark 10 Pro. It features 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and offers a dedicated microSD card slot for more storage. The device runs on a HiOS 12.6-based Android 13 OS.

The Spark 10 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Rumors are rife that the device could be priced at around Rs 12,000 (~$145) in India.
