Tecno is set to launch its first 5G phone in the Spark 20 series, the Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G, in India this July. After its initial release in Saudi Arabia on June 20, the phone will also be available in regions including the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Ahead of the Indian launch, promo material for the Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G has leaked (via TheTechOutlook), revealing some key details. As per the promo poster, the Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G bound for the Indian market has a 108MP ultra-clear camera on the rear. Additionally, the device will come with up to 16GB of RAM, which will likely include 8GB physical RAM and 8GB virtual RAM. The RAM will be paired with 128GB/256GB storage. Other than that, the report does not reveal any more details, however, it looks like the Indian version of the device will be identical to the global model.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G specs:

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G smartphone has a 6.78-inch 120Hz punch-hole cutout display. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 5G processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The camera setup includes a 108MP ultra-sensing main camera with 3x lossless in-sensor zoom and 10x digital zoom, along with a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP front camera.

The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W charging and offers a variety of intelligent charging modes for extended battery life. It runs on TECNO’s HiOS 14, based on Android 14, providing useful features and a smooth user experience.

In related news, Tecno has massively dropped the pricing of the Phantom V Flip, and the Phantom V Fold smartphones on Amazon India. The V Flip is down to about Rs 31,000, while the V Fold is going for Rs 59,999 (~$720).

Back in December 2023, Tecno unveiled the Spark 20 Pro in the Philippines. Now, the device is set to launch in more markets across the globe as a fresh certification sighting hints at an imminent release.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro spotted on Google Play Console

The brand’s Spark 20 Pro was recently spotted on the FCC and TDRA certifications and just surfaced on the Google Play Console liting as well. The device was listed carrying the model number KJ8. The database confirms that the smartphone has a 2460 x 1080 pixel resolution and 480 DPI. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC.

This chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM. The Tecno Spark 20 Pro was listed running on the Android 14 OS out of the box. Looking at the certification, the front design of the Spark 20 Pro was also revealed. We can see a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera, while the volume rockers and power button is on the right side.

The FCC and TDRA listing also lists the device with the KJ8 model number, with the former confirming a 4,900mAh battery pack (likely rated 5000mAh) that supports 33W fast charging. Back in December 2023, Tecno unveiled the Spark 20 Pro 4G in the Philippines market. We even reviewed this device alongside the Spark 20 Pro+ as well. But now, it appears that the 5G variant of the Spark 20 Pro is set to launch in the global market soon. So let’s check it out.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G surfaces on FCC & TDRA

The company’s upcoming Spark 20 Pro 5G was spotted on the FCC and TDRA databases carrying the KJ8 model number. On FCC, the moniker of this device as well as its battery size and charging capacity were confirmed. The new Tecno Spark 20 Pro will be powered by a large 4,900mAh battery pack that supports 33W wired fast charging. Even the storage configuration was confirmed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

A notable aspect revealed on the website was the design. The Spark 20 Pro 5G model features a square camera module in the rear that houses three image sensors and an LED flash, which looks similar to the iPhone 15 Pro. This design is also similar to the 4G variant of the Spark 20 Pro. Unfortunately, the TDRA listing does not reveal any finer details regarding this device like its specs or features.

To recall, the Spark 20 Pro 4G is equipped with the Helio G99 SoC under the hood. The front sports a 6.78-inch LCD screen, while the rear packs a 108-megapixel triple camera setup. Earlier this month, Tecno launched the Spark 20 smartphone. Now the brand has introduced a new addition to the Spark 20 series in the Philippines market. The latest offering is the Spark 20 Pro. The device arrives as the successor to the Spark 19 Pro with incremental upgrades. Read on to know what more the Spark 20 Pro offers out of the box.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro specifications and features

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro sports a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout that shows status and notifications similar to dynamic island. It bears an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has a flat frame with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The back panel has an iPhone-like squarish camera module housing three sensors.

On the imaging front, the Tecno Spark 20 Pro’s triple rear camera setup comprises of 108MP main sensor and two QVGA lenses. There is a 32MP front-facing selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the Tecno Spark 20 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. It packs 8GB RAM and 256GB storage expandable via a microSD card slot. The Tecno Spark 20 Pro and Spark 20 4G have just been spotted in another leak. Ahead of the official launch, the design and launch timeline of the upcoming smartphones were hinted at by a known tipster.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro Live Image and Rumored Launch

The latest leak arrives from Paras Guglani who shared the information and images on X (formerly Twitter). In the tweet, he shared hands-on images of the Tecno Spark 20 Pro, which revealed a large rear camera bump that appears similar to the iPhone 15 Pro models. Guglani adds that this device will sport a 120Hz refresh rate display and 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front, while the rear offers a 108-megapixel primary shooter. Lastly, the Spark 20 Pro will come with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC under the hood. Paras believes that the Pro and Pro+ variants will launch in India in January 2024.

Tecno Spark 20 4G Live Images and Rumored Launch

The same tipster also revealed key details regarding the base Tecno Spark 20 4G model as well. Apparently, the device has already made an appearance in African markets, so he shared live images of the device. The Spark 20 series is expected to launch in India in December 2023, a month ahead of the higher end Pro models.

So far, the company has only announced the Spark 20C. The Spark 20 4G’s design was also recently revealed via leaked renders. Some of the key specs of the Spark 20 Pro was hinted by an FCC listing, while the Spark 20 Pro+ recently got certified on Bluetooth SIG. This basically means that the launch of the two devices could be imminent, so Guglani’s launch timeline might be accurate. But this is still just an unconfirmed report so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

A lot more smartphones are expected to launch in November compared to October. A handful of brands have already either confirmed or hinted at their upcoming releases.

The star products are flagships from Chinese brands. They will feature the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which made its global debut inside the Xiaomi 14 series.

There will be some budget models from multiple brands as well. But they are not so interesting as they won’t bring anything new to the entry-level segment.

At least 12 brands are anticipated to release new phones next month. The list includes Lava, iQOO, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, OnePlus, Redmi, Poco, Samsung, Honor, Infinix, and Tecno.

Let’s check out these handsets one by one.

Upcoming Smartphones in November 2023

Lava Blaze 2 5G

The Lava Blaze 2 5G is set to launch in India on November 2 (Thursday). It will be announced in a YouTube livestream at 12 PM IST.

Thanks to official teasers and leaks, we know a few things about this device. It will sport a slightly boxy design and a circular camera module with a ring LED light for notifications.

The phone is tipped to house a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is expected to start around ₹9000-₹10000 and will be available in three colors (black, blue, and purple).

iQOO 12 Series

The iQOO 12 series is scheduled to launch in China on November 7 (Tuesday). It will be unveiled at an event that will begin at 7 PM GMT+8 and will be live-streamed on Weibo and other leading Chinese video streaming platforms.

The lineup consists of two models, namely iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. They will bring a new design and updated specs.

As per leaks and teasers, both of them will be almost identical. They will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, 50MP (OV50H) + 50 MP (JN1 ultrawide) + 64MP (OV64B 3x) triple camera system, dual stereo speakers, and 120W wired charging.

The pro model will flaunt a curved display with 2K resolution compared to a flat and brighter (3000 nits) display on the vanilla variant. The former will also support wireless charging.

Oppo A2

The Oppo A2 will be announced in China on November 11 (Saturday). Going by the leaks and teasers, the device will likely be the same as the recently released Oppo A79 5G.

The phone will come with a 7.99mm thin body and weigh 193g. It will be fitted with a 6.72-inch centered punch-hole FHD+ 90Hz display (LCD).

Further, the handset will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It will feature a 50MP + 2MP dual camera setup, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Oppo A2 will be available in Ice Crystal Purple, Clear Wave Green, and Quiet Sea Black color options.

Vivo X100 Series

The Vivo X100 series is rumored to go official in China on November 17 (Friday). The lineup is expected to include three devices, such as Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro Plus.

As per teasers and leaks, the series will come with a new Vario-APO-Sonnar lens for a periscope zoom camera. This feature could be exclusive to the Pro Plus model, which is also said to come with LPDDR5T RAM.

All three phones are anticipated to house different chipsets. The top-end Pro Plus will likely feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC as compared to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip inside the pro version. Whereas, the vanilla variant will be powered by a Dimensity 9300 chipset.

Like their predecessors, the handsets will be available in glass and leather finishes.

Realme GT 5 Pro

The Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to launch in China in November. As the name suggests, it will be the brand’s next-gen flagship smartphone.

The handset has been confirmed to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Thanks to leaks, we also know most of its other specs.

The device will arrive with a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved display, a 50MP (wide) + 50MP (telephoto) + 8MP (ultrawide) triple camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, a 10,000mm² cooling system, and an IP rating,

Finally, it is said to be backed by a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus 12

The OnePlus 12 could launch in China by the end of November or in December. A lot about it is out via official teasers and leaks.

Unsurprisingly, the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It will flaunt a 6.82-inch BOE X1 OLED display. This centered punch-hole curved screen will offer a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, a 1Hz-120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 0.35 JNCD, 2600 nits peak brightness level, and a DisplayMate A+ rating.

Further, the handset is expected to come with a 50MP (wide) + 48MP (ultrawide) + 64MP (3x periscope) triple camera system, a 32MP selfie camera, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage,an alert slider, and an IR blaster,

Last but not least, it will draw energy from a 5,400mAh battery and support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Redmi K70 Series

The Redmi K70 series might go official in November. The lineup is anticipated to include three models — a vanilla version and two pro variants.

One of the pros will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the second one will house a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC. But both of them will carry support for 120W wired charging.

On the other hand, the standard version is tipped to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Unfortunately, not much is known about these smartphones as of writing this article.

Redmi 13C and Poco C65

The Redmi 13C may be released in November. Almost everything about it is out via multiple leaks.

The device will arrive with a 6.74-inch dewdrop notched 90Hz display (LCD), a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, a 5,000mAh battery, and 18W fast charging support over USB Type-C port.

It will also come with a 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (depth) triple camera setup, an 8MP selfie camera, a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi 13C will be also sold as Poco C65 in some markets. This phone could also debut in November.

Samsung Galaxy A15

Samsung might debut its next-gen affordable smartphone Galaxy A15 in November. It will be available in both 4G and 5G variants.

As per leaks, the handset will arrive with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, a 50MP + 5MP + 2MP triple camera setup, a 13MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a MicroSD card slot, a 5,000mAh battery, and 25W charging support.

The 5G model will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chip, while the 4G version will house a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.

Honor X50 GT

The Honor X50 GT might launch in China as early as November. It is said to come with a Huawei Mate X5-inspired design.

The phone is tipped to feature a 6.81-inch FHD+ OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, and a 4,800mAh battery. For photography and videography, it will use a 50MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera.

In other words, the X50 GT will be a minor upgrade over its predecessor X40 GT.

Infinix Smart 8

The Infinix Smart 8 might go official in November. It will be an entry-level smartphone from the brand and will succeed the Smart 7 from earlier this year.

As per certifications and benchmarks, it will arrive with an HD+ display, a Unisoc T606 chip, 3GB RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging.

Additionally, based on its predecessor, we can expect the device to come with dual cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Tecno Spark 20 Series and Spark Go 2024

The Tecno Spark 20 series and Spark Go 2024 smartphones could debut in November. The former lineup will include at least three devices, such as Spark 20, Spark 20 Pro, and Spark 20C.

According to benchmark listings, the Spark 20, Spark 20C, and Spark Go 2024 will be powered by Helio G85, Helio P35, and Unisoc T606 chips, respectively.

On the other hand, there’s no info on the chipset inside the Spark 20 Pro, But we know that it will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.

We recently reported on Tecno working on brand new Spark series smartphones. This includes the Spark 20 and Spark Go 2024 models. Now, a new sighting on a certification platform has revealed that the company is also working on the Spark 20 Pro.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro Specs

Our previous coverage for the Spark Go 2024 and Spark 20 was regarding their respective Google Play Console listings. However, the Spark 20 Pro model has surfaced on the FCC certification platform. Here, this upcoming smartphone surfaced carrying the model number KJ6. The online listing has confirmed the measurements of the device. The Spark 20 Pro will measure 169 × 77 × 9mm in terms of dimensions.

The FCC platform has also revealed the charging and battery specifications of the new Spark device. Under the hood, a large 4,900mAh battery pack powers the Spark 20 Pro, which supports 33W fast charging. This certification confirms that the Spark 20 Pro will launch with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While we don’t have detailed high res renders of this handset, but the schematics on FCC have showcased some key design elements.

The Spark 20 Pro will feature a triple camera setup that is paired with an LED flash. Its camera appears to be similar to the Spark 10 Pro, which was launched earlier this year. Interestingly enough, the rear design clearly takes inspiration from the Pro models of recent iPhones. It is still unclear when Tecno will announce the Spark 20 series and the Spark Go 2024, but the recent sightings hint at an imminent launch. So stick around for more updates.
