A few days back, Tecno launched the Spark 8C entry-level smartphone in India. Despite coming in the entry-level segment, the phone offers a total of 6GB of RAM and a 90Hz display. Starting today, the phone will be available for purchase in the country.

Tecno Spark 8C Pricing and Colors 

The Tecno Spark 8C has gone on sale for the first time today in the Indian market. The device comes at a price of Rs. 7,499(~$100) for the only variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone is available in Turquoise Cyan, Diamond Grey, Magnet Black, and Iris Purple colors.

The device is available on No Cost EMI options and also has Exchange offers.

Tecno Spark 8C Specifications 

The smartphone sports a 6.6-inch water-drop notch display with the rear with an HD+(720 x 1612 pixels) resolution. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

It sports a dual-camera system placed in an oversized camera island that extends to keep space for the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The rear setup goes by a13MP primary lens and an AI sensor. At the front, it features an 8MP selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the UNISOC T606 octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Interestingly, the phone has 3GB of virtual RAM support which makes the total RAM 6GB. The phone runs on Android 11 Go Edition out of the box and has HiOS 7.6 on top of it.

Tecno has officially launched the Spark 8C budget smartphone in the Indian market. The Tecno Spark 8C comes with 6GB of total RAM and has a new design at the back.

The Tecno Spark 8C is priced at Rs. 7,499(~$100) for the lone 3GB RAM + 32GB of internal storage variant. The device comes in Turquoise Cyan, Diamond Grey, Iris Purple, and Magnet Black. It will go on sale starting February 24 via the Amazon India website.

Tecno Spark 8C Specifications 

The Tecno Spark 8C comes with a 6.6-inch water-drop notch display sporting an HD+(720 x 1612 pixels) resolution. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

Upfront, it has an 8MP single selfie snapper. At the rear, the phone has a 13MP primary lens and an AI sensor. The rear camera island is slightly oversized, adding to the looks of the device.

It is powered by the UNISOC T606 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 3GB of virtual RAM support. It means that the phone has a total of 6GB of RAM. As for storage, it has 64GB of internal storage. The phone runs on HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go Edition out of the box.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and has a DTS stereo speaker setup. For security, the phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and boats an IPX2 splash-resistant rating.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Month

vivo V23e 5G

The vivo V23e 5G first went official in Thailand at the end of November. Almost 3 months later, the handset has been now confirmed to launch in India on February 21 (Monday). It will be unveiled at 12 PM IST in a live stream on the official YouTube channel of vivo India.

The vivo V23e offers features like a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup, 44MP selfie camera, in-screen fingerprint sensor, Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11, 4,050mAh battery, and 44W fast charging.

The device is expected to retail at ₹25,990 for a sole 8GB + 128GB memory configuration.

TECNO SPARK 8C

TECNO took wraps off the TECNO SPARK 8C in late January. Less than a month later, the phone is now expected to release in India on February 21 (Monday). It will likely get a silent launch at 12 PM IST.

The device is tipped to cost under ₹8,000 for a single 3GB + 64GB variant. As far as specs are concerned, it has a 6.6-inch HD+ 90Hz display (LCD), UNISOC T606 chipset, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 11, 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging.

REDMAGIC 7 Series

REDMAGIC 7 series made its debut in China on February 17. The lineup includes two models, namely REDMAGIC 7 and REDMAGIC 7 Pro. These two gaming smartphones are set to launch in international markets at 7 AM EST on February 22.

Some of the highlights of these handsets include a 6.8-inch FHD+ 165Hz OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, liquid cooling system, cooling fan, Android 12, 4,500mAh battery, and 120W fast charging. Apart from regular colors, they also come in a transparent option.

Additionally, the Pro model has a Red Core 1 chipset dedicated for gaming, an under-display camera, support for 135W fast charging, and up to 18GB RAM as well as 1TB storage.

iQOO 9 Series

The iQOO 9 series is coming to India on February 23. The launch live stream will kickstart at 12 PM IST on iQOO India’s official YouTube channel.

The series is except to consist of three phones, namely iQOO 9 SE, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 Pro. All three are said to be different than the models sold in China.

According to rumors, the iQOO 9 SE will be a rebranded iQOO Neo5S from China. Similarly, the iQOO 9 will be a rebadged Chinese iQOO 8. Finally, the iQOO 9 Pro will be a tweaked version of iQOO 9 Pro sold in China.

nubia Z40 Pro

The nubia Z40 Pro will go official in the brand’s home country of China on February 25. The launch conference will be live-streamed on Weibo and other popular video platforms at 2 PM CST.

The device is teased to be the world’s first commercially available Android smartphone with magnetic wireless charging. It is also said to be the world’s first smartphone with a Sony IMX787 camera sensor.

Other expected features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, Android 12, 4,200mAh battery, and 120W fast charging.

A few days back, we learned that Tecno could soon launch a Spark-series phone with 6GB in India. Now, PassionateGeekz has revealed that this device will be the Tecno Spark 8C and has shared a poster image of the smartphone.

According to the publication, Tecno will launch the Spark 8C in India for under Rs 8,000(~$107). For that price, the phone will offer 6GB of RAM which sounds impressive. However, it is said to be a 3GB + 3GB total RAM support. It means that the phone will only have 3GB of actual RAM and the other 3GB will be with the help of Tecno Memory Fusion technology. The phone will take up the additional 3GB virtual RAM from the 64GB of internal storage.

The other specs of the phone are visible on the poster. The Spark 8C will come with a 6.6-inch Dot-Notch display with an HD+ resolution. It will have a 90Hz screen refresh rate and a 13MP dual rear camera system.

The Tecno Spark 8C was launched in markets outside India recently. It comes with an 8MP selfie shooter and has an AI lens alongside the 13MP main lens at the rear.

The camera supports 1080p video shooting capability and has HDR and bokeh effects. It packs a 5,000mAh battery and 10W charging speed. The smartphone comes with NFC support and has UNISOC T606 SoC.
