The Tecno Spark 8P has launched in India today as scheduled. The new smartphone from the brand for the country is actually almost 9 months old. It was initially announced in October 2021. Let’s look at its features along with its pricing and availability in the new market.

Tecno Spark 8P Specifications

The Tecno Spark 8P features a plastic build like most budget smartphones. It is built around a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and a dewdrop notch.

The device is powered by a Mediatek Helio G85 SoC. It boots HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11.

The phone houses a triple camera system on the rear consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an AI lens. On the front, it sports an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

The connectivity options on the handset include dual SIM card slots, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GNSS. It also comes with a MicroUSB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Last but not least, the Tecno-branded device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.

Tecno Spark 8P Price and Availability in India

The Tecno Spark 8P arrives in a single 4GB + 64GB memory configuration in India. It is priced at ₹10,999 ($139) and can be purchased from retail stores across the country.

TECNO was expected to launch the Spark 8P soon and this week, the company has silently announced it. The TECNO Spark 8P brings a large 6.6-inch display and a 50MP triple rear camera system.

TECNO Spark 8P Pricing, Colors, and Specifications

Unfortunately, the TECNO Spark 8P’s pricing is yet to be revealed but the phone’s colour variants are known. The smartphone will come in four colour variants like Turquoise Cyan, Iris Purple, Atlanta Blue, and Cocoa Gold.

The TECNO Spark 8P features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and sports a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone has a punch-hole panel with an 8MP selfie camera. The smartphone has a triple camera system and the main sensor is a 50MP AI camera.

Under the hood, the TECNO Spark 8P is powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 SoC with 4GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone has dual-nano-SIM support with 4G connectivity. packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging support. It runs on Android 11 out of the box.

In related news, TECNO recently launched the TECNO Camon 18 series and it comes with a 6.8-inch punch-hole display. The duo packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging technology. The Camon 18 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and the Camon 18P is powered by the Helio G96 chipset.

Chinese phone maker Tecno seems to update its Spark series soon as renders of an upcoming Spark series phone have appeared on the Internet. The renders are of the upcoming Tecno Spark 8P and they look impressive.

The renders were shared by the Twitter leaker Paras Guglani, it revealed that the phone has a large 6.6-inch Dot notch display with Full-HD+ resolution. The display has thin bezels on all sides except for the bottom. It has a noticeable bottom chin.

Moving to the rear, the device has a dual-patterned design. It has a textured finish on the upper side of the back. The other half of the back has vertical stripes enhancing its aesthetics. It features a triple camera system at the rear with a 50MP main lens.

Reportedly, the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Inside, it is touted to pack a 5,000mAh battery and may have some sort of fast charging support. As for security, the phone will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It is also said to have a DTS stereo speaker effect.

The smartphone’s launch date is still a question, but when it arrives, it will launch in four colour variants – Turquoise Cyan, Atlantic Blue, Iris Purple, and Cocoa Gold.
