The testing was done by professionals taking proper safety measures and used a thermal imager to verify the temperatures. As we can see in the video, the smartphone was placed inside a box filled with dry ice measuring at -33℃. At such freezing temperatures, the smartphone would have shut down but the Armor 7E kept working. All the features and functions were working perfectly without any problem.

However, the smartphone was immersed inside a 90℃ boiling water, but it proved the prowess and kept working without any issue. It is a really impressive and useful feature for the users residing in freezing temperatures.

As seen in the video, Ulefone Armor X7 can be seen going through 100℃ boiling water without any damage or accidental shutdown. The normal or some rugged smartphones usually shut down under extreme temperatures of 100℃. On the opposite side, the smartphone was put in a tank full of cold water under -15℃ for a full night. Surprisingly, it worked without any issue after removing from the ice cube under the extremely cold climate.

It is not for the first time that Ulefone Armor X7 underwent extreme testing conditions, the company has already tested the device in a waterproofing test, screen rigidity test, drop test, durability test, and the brutal testing in the lab. The smartphone has performed normally even under treacherous environments and has proved that it is really IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810 certified.

Meizu is set to launch the Helio P20 powered Meizu X on Wednesday, 30th of November. A Meizu official decided to carry out a temperature test on the phone to see how hot it gets when playing games.

The results of the test were posted on Weibo by the engineer who goes by the username @dengdeng. Although its hard to make out the name of the game played during the test, thermal images show that the highest temperature recorded during the hour-long gaming session was just 37.6°C and the lowest temperature recorded was 27°c.

There is a chance the temperature might be even lower since the test was carried out at Guangzhou which is a bit warm at this time of the year.

The Meizu X is expected to be a bit more expensive as there is a high demand for the Helio P20 chip. Sources say it will be available in 2 variants: a 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant that costs 1799 yuan ($260) and a 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant that costs 1999 yuan ($289).
