While the company prepares for Cybertruck deliveries starting on November 30th, it is also reintroducing its first and only product designed for children, and this time without the risk of causing harm. Tesla Cyberquad for Kids is Back on Sale With Safety Upgrades

Children’s safety is a major concern to every parent, but their happiness is equally important. This often leads parents to shower their children with gifts. However, these gifts can sometimes pose certain risks, as seen with the $1,900 Tesla Cybertruck mini ATV. Upon its release, the vehicle drew criticism from the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the United States. The CPSC cited concerns about the vehicle’s mechanical suspension quality, maximum tire pressure, and the lack of adequate safety information for young drivers.

However, Elon Musk was reluctant to part with this vehicle that garnered intense interest from parents. Consequently, he re-released the product with minor modifications under the code Model 915. Initially, the company increased the use of metal in the overall structure of the vehicle, thereby enhancing its durability. Additionally, the Tesla Cyberquad, previously stated to be suitable for the 8-12 age group, had its age suitability revised to 9-12.

Additionally, extra warnings related to the vehicle have been added to the Cyberquad for young drivers. Tire pressure alerts and suspension enhancements are also included in this revised version. Of course, it’s still a vehicle designed for children, equipped with a 500-watt motor and a maximum speed of no more than 16 kilometers per hour. When fully charged, the vehicle lasts approximately five hours and can cover a distance of 24 kilometers. For those of you aged 12 and older who are hoping for a regular version, there’s good news! The Tesla Cyberquad will soon be available with a special version for adults. Hopefully, it will be as “safe” as the second version designed for children.

Tesla’s Electric Off-Road Toy Car Cyberquad Debuts in China

Tesla is known for its electric vehicles, but they also occasionally release new and interesting products. In the past, they have released limited-edition items like power banks and whiskey. At the end of 2021, the company introduced the Cyberquad, a four-wheeled electric ATV for children. The Cyberquad stood out for being both a “toy” and a Tesla product. Now, it is available for sale in China.

Tesla’s much-anticipated Cyberquad electric ATV is finally set to debut in China, with pre-orders opening today. The Cyberquad will be priced at 11,990 yuan (about $1,700), and will have a range of 12 kilometers. The Cyberquad is a smaller, more affordable version of the Cybertruck’s electric ATV, and is designed for children.

It features a minimalist design, with a steel frame and a body made of durable plastic, and can carry a maximum load of 150 kilograms. The Cyberquad is powered by a 12-volt battery, which takes about six hours to fully charge. The ATV has a headlight, taillight, and turn signals, and also comes with a removable ramp for easy loading and unloading.

It’s also worth noting that parents will need to assemble the toy vehicle themselves. Upon delivery, it will arrive in at least 18 separate parts.

Tesla Cybertruck production delayed to 2023: Elon Musk

Earlier this week, Elon Musk, the CEO and Founder of Tesla, has just announced that the highly anticipated Cybertruck has been delayed. Now, the vehicle will be launching sometime next year.

The Cybertruck from the American electric vehicle manufacturer was rumored to face a launch delay, and now, the brand’s exec has officially confirmed it. Notably, the news also arrives as the carmaker shared its quarterly report revenue and delivery details that showcased more than 50 percent rise of its EV shipments, despite the ongoing shortages in the supply chain. For those unaware, the futuristic Cybertruck was first unveiled back in 2019.

Since then, the company had to delay its production to late 2021, which got further pushed back to late 2022. And now, its production has been postponed for the third time. This also means 2023 will be a big year for Tesla, who will be launching its Cybertruck, Semi, Roadster, and even its humanoid robot next year. Musk stated that “We will not be introducing new vehicle models this year. It would not make any sense because we’ll still be parts constrained.”

He further explained that unveiling new models “would then require a bunch of attention and resources on that increased complexity of the additional product, resulting in fewer vehicles actually being delivered this year.” Musk said that he hopes to manufacture around 250,000 Cybertrucks annually, however, this target is suffering from various hurdles owing to a number of new technologies being introduced. He reassured that “Batteries will probably not be the limiting factor in Cybertruck production,” rather, “I worry more about like how do we make the Cybertruck affordable despite having awesome technology.”

Tesla launches Cyberquad for Kids, an all-electric ATV for $1,900

Earlier today, Tesla quietly made its move to capitalize on the holiday season hype with the release of an electric-powered ATV, the Cyberquad for kids.

This is not the first time the Cyberquad has made an appearance as many of you might remember it from the epic launch event for the Tesla Cybertruck. The ATV was loaded in the bed of the pickup truck and was initially announced to be sold as an accessory for the Cybertruck. Now, the kid’s version of the Cyberquad is listed on Tesla’s website with a price tag of $1,900.

A tweet made earlier today by Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief designer, features a video of him and his kids hitting the outdoors on their Cyberquads.

Tesla Cyberquad for kids: specs, features, and availability

Tesla has listed the Cyberquad for kids as suitable for kids eight years old and up with a maximum weight capacity of 150 lbs (68kg). The design is inspired by the iconic Cybertruck and features a full steel frame, features a full steel frame, cushioned seat, and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking, and LED light bars. The Cyberquad for kids is powered by a lithium-ion battery with up to 15 miles (24 km) of range and a top speed of 10 mph. The speed can be configured into three settings, namely, 5 mph, 10 mph, and 5 mph reverse only. Tesla says it will take up to 5 hours to charge completely, and the battery range can be affected by a user’s weight, the riding terrain, and the speed setting.

The EV company has also put out a disclaimer stating that the Cyberquad for Kids will only ship in the US right now, and Tesla isn’t guaranteeing that the ATV will arrive prior to the holidays. The Cyberquad for kids is priced at $1,900 at Tesla’s websites and is said to begin shipping in 2-4 weeks.
