<p>Windows gaming might soon be arriving on Xiaomi tablets. The company has started taking in applicants who own the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/03/12/xiaomi-pad-6s-pro-12-4-review-bigger-stronger-but-costlier/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4</a> and have them test Windows games via HyperOS&#8217; WinPlay engine. But this isn&#8217;t an online game streaming platform and lets you play the games without any internet connection. So here&#8217;s what we know so far.</p>

<h2>Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 Can Run Steam</h2>

<p>There are plenty of services or devices that offer cloud gaming streaming access to users&#8217; mobile devices. However, the Chinese tech giant is taking things a step further. It has announced that it is recruiting Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 users from the Xiaomi Community to test the WinPlay engine in HyperOS that lets you play Windows games without an internet connection. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="809" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-Pad-6S-Pro-Windows-Gaming.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro" class="wp-image-669759" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-Pad-6S-Pro-Windows-Gaming.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-Pad-6S-Pro-Windows-Gaming-300x237.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-Pad-6S-Pro-Windows-Gaming-768x607.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-Pad-6S-Pro-Windows-Gaming-696x550.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Xiaomi-Pad-6S-Pro-Windows-Gaming-532x420.jpg 532w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>WinPlay basically allows the tablet to run Windows software directly. Xiaomi claims that WinPlay&#8217;s GPU performance loss is only 2.9 percent, which is quite impressive. But that&#8217;s not all, the company has even managed to get Steam running on this tablet that brings access to Valve&#8217;s vast gaming library. Keep in mind that simply installing Steam doesn&#8217;t let you play all of the games as not every title is supported yet. But this isn&#8217;t surprising considering how it isn&#8217;t a Windows laptop. To recall, even the Valve&#8217;s very own SteamOS has issues when running games from its own platform.</p>

<p>Known tipster Digital Chat Station (Via <em><a href="https://www.fonearena.com/blog/444606/xiaomi-pad-6s-pro-12-4-winplay-engine-windows-games.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fonearena</a></em>) even shared an image of the tablet running Windows games locally based on the WinPlay engine with support for Xbox controllers. The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 was even seen running Tomb Raider. It remains to be seen how Xiaomi will expand this tech and whether these will be included on its smartphones as well. So stick around for more updates.</p>

To showcase how much durable is the device, released a fun test video to demonstrate whether the phone can survive in extreme temperatures. Let&#8217;s see what happened.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/d65fK4on0eI?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>As you can see in the video, Armor X6 was repeatedly soaked in up to 98℃ boiling water, and there was no accidental shutdown occurred and the phone functioned normally. Also, they put the phone in a tank full of water and then placed it in the fridge at -20℃ for over 20 hours. The Armor X6 was still able to receive calls even though it was frozen and that is really impressive.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-302528" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Ulefone Armor X6" width="600" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1-1-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Besides its rugged characteristics, the phone also has balanced specs that include a quad-core SoC backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. What&#8217;s more, it sports a 5&#8243; HD display, a 4000mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, face unlock, dual SIM dual standby, Android 9.0 OS and more.</p>
<p>Being an entry-level rugged phone, it currently sells at the promotional price of just $69.99 <a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000480915982.html"><strong>on Aliexpress</strong></a>. The drop resistance has been proven in previous videos and today the Chinese manufacturer released another one to demonstrate its water and dust resistance.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/c2rGiuo06AM?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Going through different kinds of tortures like dipped into concrete, frozen in ice or immersed into boiling water, the Armor X3 managed to survive all and came out working just fine. So, besides water and dust, the device can also withstand extreme high and low temperatures. Also, thanks to the very hard protective glass, the screen was as good as new even after being hit with an electric drill.</p>

In short, excellent but very homogenous products are available, especially in the gaming peripherals industry.<br />
Many tried and many failed to change this status quo and a new product is ready to try doing that again. It is the GameSir G6s Touchroller mobile gamepad. When you are someone like me that reminisces the analog gamepads of Nintendo’s NES but at the same time loves the magic of the iPhone touchscreen, my expectations were not very high when I decided to try the upcoming gamepad.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-gif-1.gif?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-270638" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-gif-1.gif?x44794" alt="GameSir G6s touchroller" width="695" height="391" /></a></p>
<p>Inspired by hybrid cars’ design and philosophy, the company’s engineers and designers unveiled their idea: combine the advantages of the traditional analog sticks and the fancy touchscreen controller. The GameSir G6s touchroller gamepad for iPhone (not a very intuitive name to be honest) comes in a decent package that includes the G6s gamepad, a micro-USB cable, and a manual. Simple and clear. Holding it in hand feels great and you an wait to start pressing the buttons while gaming, as the feel like a mechanical keyboard’s keys. Clicky with clear feedback and pressing distance.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-gif-2.gif?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-270639" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-gif-2.gif?x44794" alt="GameSir G6s touchroller" width="695" height="391" /></a></p>
<p>Of course, no matter how fantastic an accessory may seem, it’s a no-go if it isn’t user friendly. Thankfully, it took just 30 seconds to connect it to my iPhone X via Game G-Crux. Apart from that, gamers can customize the button mapping via G-Crux, again, the entire process is just simple and friendly. But time had come for some serious PUBG gaming.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-gif-4.gif?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-270640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-gif-4.gif?x44794" alt="GameSir G6s touchroller" width="695" height="391" /></a></p>
<p>While playing, the left side hosts the analog controllers while my right hand controls the touchscreen and R1 trigger button. Of course, every new gamepad takes a little time to get used to but as good are the ergonomics of a gamepad the fastest you get used to it. And the G6s did a great job since it took just a few minutes for me to feel comfortable using it. Well-thought design GameSir.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-270641" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1.png?x44794" alt="GameSir G6s touchroller" width="800" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1.png 1267w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1-1024x575.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1-696x391.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1-1068x600.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-1-747x420.png 747w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Another interesting feature is that the G6s is equipped with dual vibration motors and you can decide which button vibrates relating which action you do in-gaming. With this function, when firing, you can feel a delicate vibration and you feel like holding the real thing in your hand.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-270642" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2.png?x44794" alt="GameSir G6s touchroller" width="800" height="534" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2.png 1267w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/GameSir-G6s-touchroller-2-630x420.png 630w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></a></p>
<p>Of course, the perfect product is yet to be released and the GameSir G6s has its flaws too. For starters, it comes in only one color (Black) and I hope that the company will add more options in the future. The other important flaw is that there is no information about Android compatibility for the time being. That’s bad news for Android users and I really hope that they take it into consideration. All in all, I would give it an 8.4 overall score:</p>
<ul>
<li>Innovation: 8.8/10</li>
<li>Quality: 8.0/10</li>
<li>Feedback: 8.5/10</li>
<li>Portability: 8/10</li>
<li>Control：8.5/10</li>
</ul>
<p>The bottom line is that the G6s combines the advantages of an analog controller with the smoothness of touchscreen, and that could be very promising for the future of mobile gaming controllers. It certainly does serve the manufacturer&#8217;s vision of offering gamers the chance to enjoy the pure joy of gaming. The GameSir G6s Touchroller is currently in crowdfunding stage and you can <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gamesir-g6s-touchroller-mobile-game-controller#/"><strong>back it on Indiegogo</strong></a>.</p>

The Armor 6E has gained up to 98% of good reputation from the users since it has been launched. You have already seen several videos about its performance and durability but today Ulefone released another one demonstrating the positioning performance of the device compared with iPhone XS. Let’s have a look.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2LrghN1Vo3E?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>As shown in the video, the 2km distance covered by the runner along the seaside was accurately recorded by the Armor 6E while the iPhone XS deviated from the original route. This means that in this case, the Armor 6E performed better than the $1000 opponent. The Armor 6E comes equipped with GPS, Glonass, and Beidou navigation system, offering wider and stable satellite signal reception, accurate positioning and navigation routes, making a perfect assistant when you get lost outdoors and want to find the right way.</p>

<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">VIDEO REVIEW</h2>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7Xm8HkfAa4[/embedyt]</p>
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">UNBOXING</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111602" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050394.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050394" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050394.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050394-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050394-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /> <img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111603" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050396.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050396" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050396.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050396-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050396-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">The device ships with the USB cable, a strap and some paperwork.</p>
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">DESIGN AND FEATURES</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111604" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050402.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050402" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050402.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050402-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050402-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">Honestly, this thing doesn’t even look like a smartphone and it reminds me of a smartwatch… without a strap.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111598" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/20161215_150134.jpg?x44794" alt="20161215_150134" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/20161215_150134.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/20161215_150134-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/20161215_150134-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">We have a 1.54” display, which does not sport the highest resolution but it is pretty good for a $28 device.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111608" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050414.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050414" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050414.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050414-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050414-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">The phone takes 1 SIM card and 1 microSD card for storage expansion as the internal storage is just 128MB.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111609" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050415.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050415" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050415.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050415-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050415-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">We have just a power button and non-backlit capacitive keys to control the device.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">On the back, there is a heart rate monitor, which measures your heart rate pretty accurately. Not sure why I thought I needed to put it on my wrist as it works with the fingertip too.</p>
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">USER INTERFACE</h2>

</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">As for user interface, you have your basic phone features. You can call someone, write messages and so on.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">The call quality is not very impressive but you can definitely make a clear conversation.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">There are also some basic apps like calculator, calendar, stopwatch etc. Besides the heart rate monitor, you can track your fitness routines using the built-in pedometer, which is pretty accurate or use sedentary reminder to reminds you to move a little.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111605" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050406.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050406" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050406.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050406-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050406-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">You can also connect the Vphone S8 to your phone using the FundoWear app to track your fitness routines in detail, receive most of the notifications, use this little device as a remote dialer or as a remote controller for your main phone’s camera.</p>
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">BATTERY LIFE</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111613" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050484.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050484" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050484.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050484-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050484-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">As for battery life, the Vphone S8 will get you through the day if you use it quite intensively. You may get a few days out of it if you are a light user.</p>
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">CONCLUSIONS</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111621" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050506.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050506" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050506.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050506-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050506-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">So, there you have it, the smallest smartphone in the world, that costs just $28.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111616" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050493.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050493" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050493.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050493-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050493-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">It’s definitely not the smartest smartphone out there but it’s definitely fun to use it. Also, it comes with all the basic phone and fitness tracker features, and a simple user interface that does not lag.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111617" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050496.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050496" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050496.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050496-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050496-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">The phone may come handy if you just need to use another SIM card for calls.</p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;"><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-111610" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050428.jpg?x44794" alt="p1050428" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050428.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050428-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/P1050428-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify;">At the end of the day, the Vphone S8 is not something I<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>really need for everyday use but it’s definitely a fun little device that works quite well and it is actually very cheap for what it has to offer.</p>
