Nordic Game Supply (NGS) has introduced a new compact mechanical keyboard that can be used together with a gaming laptop especially when on the go. The Shrimp is an ultra-compact mechanical gaming keyboard and is an alternative to a big keyboard. The Shrimp was driven by a desire to offer departures from the traditional standard-looking keyboards, according to NGS.

The Shrimp gaming keyboard has a standard layout which maintains the layout and keys as a traditional keyboard. The 25-key keyboard can be used as-is or modified during gaming. The Shrimp does not require any software for its operation or any difficult installation procedures. It has the Gateron G Pro switches and an elegant Nordic design body. There are sound dampening features built-in on the keyboard. There is also a detachable, magnetically connectable wrist rest for greater comfort. The wrist rest has soft padding and a textured surface.

The Shrimp’s keycaps have large letters with lighter and more improved RGB illumination. The keyboard has a classic Cherry profile (height and shaping) and is better shaped than most industry keyboards. The Shrimp has a USB-C connector with compatibility for Desktop PCs, gaming laptops, and standard HID-compliant USB devices or games consoles.

The Shrimp’s vendor, NGS, says the keyboard will be available in markets once its development has reached the highest level. The company did not put any specific date on this milestone. Pricing and other availability are also lacking at this time. Nordic Game Supply is an independent vendor of video and computer games, as well as related peripherals.
