Lenovo used IFA 2025 to give its ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition a fresh look. After debuting in Silver at CES and later in Moonlight White over the summer, the slim and stylish laptop is now available in a new Glacial White finish.

The hardware hasn’t changed, but the color refresh adds some flair to a model that was designed to break away from the traditional black-and-red ThinkPad aesthetic. The X9 Aura is available in two sizes: a 14-inch version with a WUXGA OLED display (400 nits, HDR 500, 100% DCI-P3) and a 15-inch model with a sharper 2.8K OLED panel (1,100 nits, HDR 600, 100% DCI-P3, 120 Hz VRR). Battery capacity differs as well — 55 Wh on the 14-inch, user-replaceable, versus a larger 80 Wh pack on the 15-inch, which is likely sealed.

Inside, both machines run on Intel’s Core Ultra 7 vPro chip paired with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, Intel Arc graphics, and a 1 TB SSD. Other features include an 8 MP webcam with IR, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The larger 15-inch also adds a USB-A port.

The Glacial White edition will be available from October 2025, priced at €1,619 (about $1,790) for the 14-inch and €1,759 (about $1,945) for the 15-inch.

With its brighter, minimalist design and high-end specs, the X9 Aura Edition is Lenovo’s way of showing that a ThinkPad can be both professional and stylish.

Lenovo’s Project Pivo just surfaced in a new leak, which revealed a concept laptop with a rotating display. This model is expected to debut during the upcoming IFA 2025 event, but it might just be one of multiple Lenovo notebooks arriving at this conference.

Here’s Every New ThinkPad Model Arriving at IFA

The latest leak was shared by known tipster Evan Blass, who previously shed light on the rotating display laptop. He claimed that the Chinese tech giant is working on unveiling a series of new ThinkPads for the global market during the IFA 2025 event.

Alongside Project Pivo, Lenovo is expected to unveil the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8, ThinkPad P14s Gen 6, ThinkPad P16s Gen 4, ThinkPad P16 Gen 3, ThinkPad P16v Gen 3, ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition 14 Glacier White, and ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition 15 Glacier White.

To recall, the IFA 2025 event will be hosted in Berlin from 5th September 2025 to 9th September 2025. Back in July 2025, the company unveiled the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition laptops in a new “Moonlight White” finish in China. So this is just a wider release.

Over six ThinkPad laptops are set to debut soon with Evan Blass confirming new Intel processors powering the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8, ThinkPad P14s Gen 6, ThinkPad P16s Gen 4, ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 and ThinkPad P16v Gen 3.

The post New Lenovo ThinkPad Laptops Leaked Ahead of IFA 2025 appeared first on Gizmochina.

Lenovo is one of the biggest laptop brands in the global market. But the brand doesn’t just play it safe all the time. It has unveiled a series of bold laptops that push the boundaries of design and usability. From a laptop with a rollable display to one of the thinnest 4K laptops ever, Lenovo has some impressive notebooks to offer. So here’s a quick look at Lenovo’s most unique laptops of 2025.

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6

The Chinese tech giant unveiled the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 earlier this year, with this laptop even being our pick for one of the most bizarre tech products of CES 2025. This model finally went on sale for an exorbitant price tag, with its unique selling point being its expandable display. Lenovo has managed to blend a comfortable format factor with a large screen thanks to a rollable screen.

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 has a 14-inch OLED screen when in the regular mode, which can roll out to 16.7 inches by unfurling upwards. You also get Intel’s latest Series 2 (Core Ultra 258V) CPU under the hood that promises great power efficiency and battery life. Other notable features include a high resolution (that grows with the screen), 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Atmos, WiFI 7, and Harman Kardon speakers.

Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura (Moonlight White)

Lenovo recently updated its ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition laptop with a new “Moonlight White” variant. This is the first White ThinkPad notebook from the brand, but that’s not the only thing special about this model. The 14-inch version of the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition weighs just 1.27 kilograms and measures just 6.8mm in thickness. This makes it lightweight and super thin, even more than the MacBook Air.

Despite its slim form factor, Lenovo packs a large battery in its chassis (80Wh on the 15-inch variant). You can configure it with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of internal storage. Even the display is gorgeous with a 2.8K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i

Back in February 2025, Lenovo unveiled its slimmest ever laptop that sports a 4K display. The Yoga Slim 9i debuted with a 4K OLED PureSight Pro panel that offered a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits of peak brightness, and 100% sRGB color gamut. The front even managed to get an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 98%. Being a thin and light model, the laptop measures just 1.25kg. You can equip this model with an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V or 258V processor as well.

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i (2025)

We’ve already seen a rollable expanding display on a Lenovo laptop, but what if one needs even more screen real estate? This is where the Yoga Book 9i got you covered. There are two 14-inch 2.8K OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 750 nits of peak brightness. Even with two screens, it measures just 1.22 kilograms in weight and comes equipped with a massive 88Wh battery pack. You can equip this laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H CPU, offering the most powerful processor in this list.

The post The Most Unique Lenovo Laptops of 2025: From Rollables to Dual-Screens appeared first on Gizmochina.

Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad X9 Aura at CES 2025, featuring Intel’s Lunar Lake chips. Priced at $1,349 for the 16-inch variant and $1,239 for the 14-inch model, the ThinkPad X9 Aura laptops are now available to buy in the US market.

Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura features

The X9 moves away from the classic ThinkPad design. The TrackPoint is gone, replaced by a large haptic touchpad, and the keyboard layout now resembles Apple’s MacBook. Instead of the signature black finish, the X9 features a silver aluminum body, making it stand out from previous ThinkPads.

One major upgrade is OLED screens across all models. The 14-inch variant starts with a WUXGA OLED (1,920 x 1,200, 60Hz, 400 nits), while the 15.3-inch version gets a sharper 2.8K OLED (2,880 x 1,800, 120Hz, 500 nits) display as standard.

Under the hood, Intel’s Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V focuses on efficiency rather than high-end performance. To maintain performance over time, Lenovo includes an active cooling system with dual fans, a contrast to Apple’s passively cooled MacBook Air. RAM is integrated into the processor, with 16GB or 32GB options, while storage remains upgradable up to 2TB via an M.2 2242 SSD.

Unlike many ultrabooks, the ThinkPad X9 doesn’t skimp on ports. The “Engine Hub” includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack, with the 15.3-inch model adding a USB-A port. However, LTE and 5G connectivity are not available, which might be a drawback for business users who rely on mobile networks.

The 15.3-inch model comes with a larger 80Wh battery, while the 14-inch version has a 55Wh capacity. The larger model also includes four speakers and an 8MP webcam, whereas these are optional upgrades on the smaller X9.
