Lenovo’s Project Pivo just surfaced in a new leak, which revealed a concept laptop with a rotating display. This model is expected to debut during the upcoming IFA 2025 event, but it might just be one of multiple Lenovo notebooks arriving at this conference.

Here’s Every New ThinkPad Model Arriving at IFA

The latest leak was shared by known tipster Evan Blass, who previously shed light on the rotating display laptop. He claimed that the Chinese tech giant is working on unveiling a series of new ThinkPads for the global market during the IFA 2025 event.

Alongside Project Pivo, Lenovo is expected to unveil the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8, ThinkPad P14s Gen 6, ThinkPad P16s Gen 4, ThinkPad P16 Gen 3, ThinkPad P16v Gen 3, ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition 14 Glacier White, and ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition 15 Glacier White.

To recall, the IFA 2025 event will be hosted in Berlin from 5th September 2025 to 9th September 2025. Back in July 2025, the company unveiled the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition laptops in a new “Moonlight White” finish in China. So this is just a wider release.

Over six ThinkPad laptops are set to debut soon with Evan Blass confirming new Intel processors powering the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8, ThinkPad P14s Gen 6, ThinkPad P16s Gen 4, ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 and ThinkPad P16v Gen 3.

Unveiled at MWC 2024, Lenovo’s ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 aims to build upon the success of its predecessor with upgraded internals and AI features. The new iteration retains the familiar detachable design, allowing users to switch between laptop and tablet modes with ease.

Microsoft’s Copilot also has a dedicated AI key for easy access

The most significant upgrade lies in the processor. The Gen 2 ditches the previous generation Intel chips in favor of the latest Core Ultra processors, promising improved performance for demanding tasks. Additionally, Microsoft’s Copilot, an AI assistant, makes its way to the ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 with a dedicated key for easy access. This integration aligns with Microsoft’s plans to include a Copilot button in future Windows laptops.

While the press release doesn’t reveal any significant design changes, the Gen 2 is expected to retain the comfortable backlit keyboard, split trackpad, and the red TrackPoint nub. These features, combined with the included magnetic stylus, aim to offer a versatile user experience for both typing and note-taking.

Interestingly, the inclusion of the dedicated Copilot button in the Gen 2 hints at a similar feature potentially coming to the next Surface Pro. This development could further blur the lines between the two devices, leaving aesthetics as the only potential differentiator for consumers.

The ThinkPad X12 Detachable Gen 2 is expected to launch in April 2024, starting at $1,399. Lenovo Unveils New ThinkPad T14p Laptop

Lenovo has unveiled the new ThinkPad T14p laptop, an upgrade to the popular T series. The ThinkPad T14p is available in a variety of configurations, starting at 6799 yuan for the i5 integrated graphics version, 7999 yuan for the i9 integrated graphics version, and starting at 9499 yuan for the i7 with RTX 3050 version.

The new ThinkPad T14p is powered by the 13th generation Core H series processors, ranging from the i5-13500H to the i9-13900H. Graphics options include integrated graphics and the RTX 3050 4GB. The laptop features a dual fan cooling system and can deliver up to 60W of total system performance. It is equipped with LPDDR5-5200 memory with an option up to 32GB, and a 1TB SSD, with support for dual slots.

The ThinkPad T14p has a 14-inch 2.2k resolution screen with 100% sRGB color gamut and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The laptop weighs as low as 1.47 kg and is 17.9 mm thin. Lenovo’s 2023 ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Nano Laptops Launching on May 18th

Lenovo has released a teaser for the new 2023 ThinkPad X1 series, featuring two exciting models: the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Nano. While the video doesn’t reveal many specifics, it gives us a glimpse of the design of the upcoming laptops. Interestingly, there isn’t anything particularly new here. Lenovo sticks to the familiar ThinkPad design, maintaining its iconic appearance. Despite modern preferences like thin bezels, if you’ve used a ThinkPad model in the past five years, you won’t notice much difference. So, what specs will these laptop models have?

Although we don’t have details about every model, we do have some information about the X1 Carbon. The 2023 Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon will come equipped with Intel’s 13th generation Core i5 and i7 processors and feature onboard LPDDR5 memory. Weighing approximately 1.12 kg, this laptop promises portability without sacrificing power. Lenovo’s new X1 Carbon will boast a 1080p f/2.0 aperture front-facing camera, a quad-microphone array, and a variety of ports, including HDMI, dual USB-A, and dual USB-C.

The laptop’s carbon fiber body design ensures both a lightweight build and robust durability. Moreover, the sleek black design adds a touch of versatility and mystery to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2023. Additionally, the laptop’s back is fitted with a power connector, HDMI, and two USB-C ports. This design, unlike previous models with side-placed ports, aims to provide an even better user experience.

Previous leaks suggest that Lenovo plans to introduce a new model called the ThinkPad T14p, in addition to updating its regular X1 products. However, details are currently unknown.

Lenovo has just recently announced that it will be launching new refreshed models of its popular ThinkStation and ThinkPad P series of workstation PCs in the Chinese market. So now, the new PCs will feature the latest Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs.

Lenovo ThinkStation Series

Talking about the ThinkStation models first, the Chinese tech giant has launched three workstations which includes the new ThinkStation P3 Tower, ThinkStation P3 Ultra, and the ThinkStation P3 Tiny. The P3 Tower is the flagship model out of the bunch and is now equipped with 13th Gen Intel Core CPUs along with Nvidia RTX A5500 graphi cards. Furthermore, this model can even be paired with up to a whopping 128GB of DDR5 RAM. Similarly, even the P3 Ultra and P3 Tiny will feature Intel’s 13th Gen chips, which will be paired with an Nvidia T1000 and RTX A550 GPUs respectively.

Lenovo ThinkPad P Series

Furthermore, the brand has also announced refreshes to some of its ThinkPad P series of workstation notebooks as well. The brand is bringing five new laptops, which includes the new ThinkPad P16 Gen 2, ThinkPad P1 Gen 6, Thinpad P16v i Gen 1, and the ThinkPad P14s i and P16s i Gen 2 models. The ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 is the top of the line model in the lineup and is equipped with the 13th Gen Intel Core HX series CPUs and Nvidia’s Quadro RTX 5000 graphics cards with up to 192GB of DDR5 RAM.

Apart from this, the other models also feature these updates specifications which includes Quadro RTX 5000 series or even the latest and greatest RTX 4090 GPU in their new laptops. The ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 even sports a 16 inch OLED touchscreen panels as well. On the other hand, there are even mid range workstation laptops that are powered by Intel 13th Gen H series CPUs and RTX 2000 series graphics cards. Unfortunately, the company has yet to reveal the pricing for all of these PCs, but these are expected to go on sale by the end of this month.

Lenovo has just announced a number of new PCs from its popular ThinkPad series of laptops during the MWC 2023 event in Barcelona. During the conference, the company announced the new ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga Gen 4 series along with new models in the ThinkPad L, T, and even E series as well. So let’s have a look.

ThinkPad X13 & ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 4

Talking about the X13 series first, the Chinese PC maker has designed the new ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 and ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 4 to offer professionals a great platform for hybrid work and mobility. Both models in the lineup feature a sleek design with narrow bezels. These devices feature Dolby Audio speakers and a 5 megapixel camera. The X13 Gen 4 models can also be configured up to a new 13.3 inch 2.8K OLED display that supports Dolby Vision and low light protection technology. The new ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga laptops will be offered in two variants.

Buyers can opt for up to Windows 11 Pro with either a 13th generation Intel Core CPUs (with Intel vPro or Iris Xe Integrated Graphics) or AMD Ryzen 7000 series of processors (with AMD Radeon 700M Series Graphics). These laptops are basically built for those that work remotely or even for those that travel frequently. As the name suggests, the primary difference between the X13 & X13 Yoga is the hinge mechanism, which lets the Yoga version have a 360 degree hinge for its display. The ThinkPad X13 & X13 Yoga will go on sale starting July 2023 and will start from €1,190 for the former and €1,290 for the latter.

ThinkPad L, T, & E Series

Apart from the X series, Lenovo also unveiled the new ThinkPad T series, which consists of the Gen 4 T14, T14s, and second gen T16 models. There are classified as workhorse laptops that are built for working professionals that need higher computing power. All of these laptops can also be outfitted with the 2.8K OLED panel option as well as low blue light display options for improved battery efficiency. The ThinkPad T14 will start from €1345 while the T14s and T16 will start from €1590 and €1390 respectively and will go on sale in July 2023.

The new ThinkPad L series are also similar to the T models and includes the latest gen L13, L13 Yoga, L14, and even L15. These are designed for businesses with a wide range of mobile computing needs. Similar to the notebooks mentioned above, the L13 and L13 Yoga Gen 4 also offer low blue light display options while the L14 and L15 Gen 4 can be equipped with up to a massive 2TB SSD storage, which isn’t too common in the professional laptop ranges. The L13 and L13 Yoga will start from €839 and €980 respectively (sale starts in April 2023) while the L14 and L15 laptops will cost €775 and €755 respectively (sale starts in May 2023).

Lastly, Lenovo announced new ThinkPad E series of budget laptops for customers and business that focus on value and productivity features. This lineup includes the new ThinkPad 14 Gen 5, which sports a new 16:10 display and even the new ThinkPad E16 that sports a tall 16 inch panel. These models will offer a high screen to body ratio of more than 90 percent and a large 115mm touchpad design.

The laptops will come with up to Windows 11 Pro and either 13th gen Intel Core processors or AMD Ryzen 7000 series. Other notable features include, up to 2TB storage, up to 40GB of RAM, WiFi 6E connectivity options, and more. The new ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 and E16 Gen 1 will go on sale in June 2023 with a price tag starting from €770 and €780 respectively.

The ThinkPad series line of business laptops was first introduced almost 30 years ago, by IBM in 1992. The ThinkPad brand was then acquired by Lenovo in 2005 and the ThinkPad laptops since have all been designed, developed and marketed under the Lenovo company.

After years of annually consistent ThinkPad laptops releases, Lenovo is looking to shake up the ThinkPad family, specifically its T-series, with a new sibling, the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 is the company’s first-ever 16-inch business laptop in the ThinkPad T series and is replacing Lenovo’s former ThinkPad T15 lineup of big-screen business laptops. With its debut, the ThinkPad T16 comes with a newer design language compared to the former 2021 ThinkPads.

Let’s start off with the screens. The ThinkPad T16 comes with a 16-inch IPS LCD panel that has a more modern aspect ratio of 16:10, compared to the 16:9 aspect ratios of the ThinkPads released prior to 2021. The 16-inch display can be configured up to a resolution of 2.5K, peak brightness of 500 nits, 100% coverage of the sRGB colourspace and optional touchscreen support.

Powering the ThinkPad T16 are Intel’s latest 12th Gen Alder Mobile CPUs or AMD’s latest Ryzen 6000 Pro series of CPUs. For the Intel model, buyers can configure their devices to be equipped with up to an Intel Core i7 from the U-series or P-series of Intel 12th Gen processors, up to 48GB of DDR4 RAM, 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and an optional Nvidia Dedicated Graphics Card, which is either the MX550 or the RTX 2050 Mobile GPU.

For the AMD Model, buyers are able to configure their ThinkPad T16 to be equipped with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 6400MHz of RAM, and 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage with a Ryzen 7 PRO 6000 series CPU onboard.

On the battery front, the laptop is available in 52.5Wh or 86Wh options, with an included fast charging adapter in the box for the laptop. The laptop can charge up to 135W if buyers opt for the higher 86Wh Intel configuration.

For connectivity, users need not concern as Lenovo has equipped the ThinkPad T16 with a WiFi 6E module onboard, Bluetooth 5.2, and optional LTE support for those business users who are always on the go. Coming to ports, the ThinkPad T16 is equipped with 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one HDMI 2.0b port, an RJ45 port, one 3.5mm headphone jack and an optional SIM card slot for those who opt for the LTE model.

If buyers opt for the Intel model, the USB-C ports will be certified Thunderbolt 4 compliant, whereas for buyers who opted for the AMD model, the USB-C ports will be certified USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 compliant.

The landing pages for the ThinkPad T16 Intel and T16 AMD, have gone live. These laptops have been listed on Lenovo’s North America, Europe, and Asia official websites. Thus, it is expected that the ThinkPad T16 will be officially launched in Q2 2022 and be available to purchase soon in these respective regions.

At the start of 2022, AMD revealed its brand new Zen 3+ based Ryzen 6000 Mobile Series of CPUs for the laptop market at CES 2022. Lenovo, Asus, Dell and HP are amongst the well-known manufacturers expected to incorporate AMD’s latest and greatest Ryzen 6000 Mobile chips for their upcoming laptop lineups in 2022.

As of April 2022, the availability of these Ryzen 6000 laptops is still scarce as you are still unable to purchase such a device today. However, it seems that Lenovo may be the first laptop manufacturer to bring Ryzen 6000 laptops available to the market with their Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 (14”, AMD). 

Lenovo recently listed the landing page of the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 (14”, AMD) on its official website detailing the specifications, configurations and highlighting features of the device. Conventionally, when Lenovo lists a product on its official website, this spells out that the device is coming very soon to the market, as the landing page will be updated with a price tag in the upcoming weeks.

Moving onto the device specifications, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 is a lightweight business powerhouse featuring up to 32GB LPDDR5 6400MHz Dual Channel Memory, 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, and AMD Ryzen 6000 processors up until the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U. 

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 features the largest integrated graphics performance boost in a ThinkPad to date, as the GPU present on the device is the AMD Radeon 680M based on AMD’s best performing RDNA2 architecture. AMD claims that the new integrated graphics can deliver GPU performance that outperforms or performs on par with dedicated graphic cards like the Nvidia MX450 card still found on many laptops today.

The next highlight is the screen on the ThinkPad T14s. The ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 now features a 14-inch 16:10 display giving users more screen to work with, and the screen can be configured up to a 90Hz 2.8K resolution 400-nit OLED display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut for the business professionals out there who are creative in their free time.

Coming to connectivity, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 supports WiFi 6E with optional support for 4G LTE and sub-6 5G via eSIM for those business users who are always on the go. Powering the device is a 57Wh battery which can last the laptop an entire day with a just single 2-hour charge on Lenovo’s 65W Rapid Charge technology. For the ports, the laptop is equipped with one USB-C 4.0 Gen 3 port, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one HDMI 2.0b port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T-series generally slots in at a lower price tag than its P-series, Z-series, X1 series siblings, so it is expected that Lenovo would continue its same lineup pricing strategy in 2022. If true, then the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 3 (14”, AMD) may be the best ThinkPad one can buy in 2022 with its high price-to-performance ratio, high power efficiency and amazing 16:10 OLED display.

Chinese-American multinational technology corporation, Lenovo, had earlier revealed its premium business laptop line, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 and ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7 equipped with Intel’s latest 12th Gen Alder Lake Mobile CPUs back in January this year at the CES 2022 roadshow held at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

4 months after the announcement, the Intel 12th Gen ThinkPad X1 series is finally available for sale in several popular markets across the globe, which include the US, UK, Australia, Europe and Southeast Asia. 

In the US, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 is now officially available at USD 2879 for the base model, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7 is sold starting at USD 3579. 

Do note that this is the recommended retail price for the laptops as Lenovo ThinkPad relatively go on sale quite often.

For the Europe and Southeast Asia release, the 12th Gen Intel ThinkPad X1 series is currently only released in several key markets such as the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. The 12th Gen Intel ThinkPad X1 series officially starts at 1949 Euros(excl. VAT) / CHF 1859 (incl. VAT) / SGD 3259 / THB 72,390 / RM 7979 in each respective country.

So competing in the premium business ultrabook category, what features does the Intel 12th Gen ThinkPad X1 series pack to justify its price tag?

ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10

The X1 Carbon has always been one of Lenovo’s best engineered business laptops with its svelte, durable chassis that is certified MIL-STD 810H standard durability compliant. This means the laptop is able to withstand extreme temperature, extreme dust, extreme humidity, pressure and more. 

The new generation of the X1 Carbon is configurable up to Intel’s latest 12th Gen Core i7 P-series or U-Series mobile processors which claims to bring 1.5x better power efficiency than the previous generation. Accompanying the CPU is up to 32GB LPDDR5 5200Mhz dual-channel RAM and Up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, for the fastest performance for day-to-day tasks.

However, the biggest upgrade for the X1 Carbon Gen 10 is the display. Lenovo had added a new OLED display option for the X1 Carbon, making it the first-ever ThinkPad to sport an OLED display. The display is a 14-inch 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED display. It can go up to 400 nits of brightness and cover 100% of the DCI P3 colour gamut.

As for ports, the X1 Carbon has 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one HDMI 2.0b port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop is powered by a 57Wh battery with support for 65W USB-PD Rapid Charging.

ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga possesses many identical specs to the X1 Carbon. The only major differentiator here is that it is a “Yoga” laptop. The X1 Yoga is a 2-in-1 business convertible laptop that allows the users to switch from laptop to tablet to tent mode in under a minute. Whether you want to sketch or sign a document on the go, the X1 Yoga has an included Lenovo stylus that can always accommodate your workflow.

Lenovo is expected to bring the Intel 12th Gen Thinkpad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga to more markets soon later in the year as well, which includes markets like the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, East Asia and South Asia.

Lenovo officially launched the much-awaited Motorola Razr amidst much fanfare at an event in Los Angeles, US yesterday. The company launched the device this morning at the Tech World 2019 in China. At the event, the Chinese firm also showcased the world’s first foldable PC with folding displays. If it seems familiar, it’s because that’s the very same device that was revealed as ThinkPad X1 series device earlier this year.

What’s more interesting to note however is that the vice president of BOE Group, Wei Wei, revealed on Weibo that the folding displays for the Thinkpad X1 line and Motorola Razr were both made by them. In addition, the Huawei Mate X that was officially launched earlier today also comes with a display provided by BOE.

This is a rather interesting bit of news, as it shows that any smartphone company could technically put out a folding phone since BOE is now an established supplier of them. It would still require a sizable amount of R&D from the company’s side to accommodate a folding design, but the possibility is there.

The Motorola Razr is the third commercial foldable smartphone in the market from an established tech company. Samsung’s Galaxy Fold is already available for purchase across the globe, and the Huawei Mate X went on sale in China today. It looks like the latest addition to the ThinkPad X1 line will be a foldable PC, and it’ll come out before the Surface Neo. No name is confirmed yet, but the PC is expected next summer following a short preview at the Canalys Channels Forum in Barcelona.

The strange introduction saw Lenovo‘s Milanka Muecke, director of global commercial comms and brand, pull the 13″ OLED screen device out of her handbag to demonstrate its bendiness. “I have it right here and you can have it in your purse,” she said. “It looks like a leather bound notebook that you can carry with you all day long, but it is a full performance PC that fits in the palm of your hand.”

As for when the ThinkPad X1 will ship, the device “will start shipping probably Q2 next year.” The COO explained that “hardware is ready, but we need to still fix certain things from a software point of view, and that doesn’t depend 100 percent on us.” Lenovo did not expand on which software development is holding the device back.

There’s a good chance that it is related to Windows 10X, the version of Windows 10 that is specifically designed for foldable devices. If the company does successfully manage to hit their deadline however, they’ll beat the upcoming Microsoft Surface Neo to market, with the Surface planned for ‘Holiday 2020’.

Unfortunately, no concrete price was given, though we wouldn’t expect it to be low. Generally right now it seems that foldable tech can’t be done cheaply, yet. On top of this, ThinkPads tend to sit on the higher end of the price spectrum, so expect the new foldable ThinkPad to cost quite a lot at launch.

Microsoft will sell their own tablet called Surface. Some PC manufacturers partners reportedly not happy with the presence Surface is considered as a competitor. But Lenovo tablet homemade confident will be able to defeat Surface.

“Microsoft is strong in software, but I do not believe they can provide the best hardware in the world. While Lenovo can,” claims CEO of Lenovo, Yang Yuanqing.

“Although we do not like Microsoft make hardware, but even though they started the hardware business, we think it only means one competitor to grow again,” he added.

Previously, the presence of Microsoft Surface gets resistance from Acer. Taiwanese computer vendor states that the arrival Surface will have a negative impact on the ecosystem of the PC industry.

In the past, Microsoft has always partnered with a vendor to create a computer-based PC operating system Windows. However, for Windows 8, they decided to make their own tablet PCs.

In fact, there are reports circulating that Surface will be sold for only $ 199. If true, it could be a huge success Surface considering the price is very affordable. Reportedly, Surface will ship sometime in October, along with the official introduction of Windows 8 operating system.
