But the productivity focus is more than just skin deep. Buyers also get ThinkShield Security, three years of warranty, Moto AI, 5 years of software update support, and an MIL-STD 810H military grade body.

Thanks to Smart Connect, users can link their ThinkPhones with their PCs to share files with ease. The ThinkPhone can even function as a webcam for the PC. With a simple drag and drop, one can share files, text, photos, documents, and more between their devices. The device has just been unveiled in the UK, with the release set to follow in November with a £450 price tag (roughly 600 US Dollars).

Specifications

The ThinkPhone 25 sports a 6.36-inch pOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and Super HD resolution (26670 x 1220). The screen also arrives with a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection while the frame uses plastic. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The device runs on the Android 14 OS out of the box. A 4,310mAh battery pack powers this model, which runs on 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, WiFi 6E, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. For optics, the rear packs a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter. The front houses a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Motorola had announced the ThinkPhone for the enterprise market back in 2023. Similar to the ThinkPad, it was built for working professionals, which is reflected in its design. Last year’s ThinkPhone also came with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance along with MIL-STD 810H military grade durability rating, making it quite durable. This allowed users to transform files, text, photos, documents, and more by simply dragging and dropping them between the devices. The smartphone could even be used as a webcam on the ThinkPad. In other words, the ThinkPhone facilitated efficiency, making it perfect fit in a professional setting. Motorola partnered with Microsoft last year to bring Windows 365 to the ThinkPhone last year, so we can expect this support to return.

First Look at the Business Phone

In a recent report, the renders of the 2025 Motorola ThinkPhone were leaked, offering us the first proper look at the upcoming business smartphone. However, it has a redesigned camera module with its overall form factor being closer to Motorola’s Edge series. The back seems to have a kevlar/carbon fiber styled textured rear panel, while the front has slimmer bezels compares to its predecessor and center aligned punch hole cutout for the selfie camera.

What Specs Does the ThinkPhone 2025 Offer?

Motorola will reportedly launch the next gen ThinkPhone with a 6.36-inch LTPO pOLED display that supports a high refresh rate, 2670 x 1200 resolution (460ppi), which is higher than the 399ppi pixel density on the FHD+ panel of the older model. The dimensions of the new ThinkPhone were also shared in this same report, measuring 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1mm.

Under the hood, the smartphone is rumored to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The company could be planning to launch this device in a single storage configuration. The ThinkPhone 2025 might pack a 4,310mAh battery pack that supports 68W wired fast charging, which is surprising since last year’s model had a larger cell.

For optics, the rear packs a triple camera setup that consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 10MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. Motorola has released a tweet to confirm that it will announce the Motorola ThinkPhone during the CES 2023 tech exhibition, which will take place between Jan. 5 and Jan. 8 in Las Vegas. The Lenovo-owned brand has claimed that the ThinkPhone is a “business-grade” smartphone. The image shared by the brand gives a glimpse of its design.

The Motorola ThinkPhone can be seen sporting a textured back. Reports have claimed that the device has an aluminium frame and “aramid fibre inlay” rear shell. A red-colored button can be seen on the edge of the device. The design of the phone is no secret since leaked renders that have surfaced so far have revealed its design from all sides.

Motorola ThinkPhone specifications (rumored)

The Motorola ThinkPhone is likely to feature a 6.6-inch P-OLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone will come preloaded with the Android 13 OS. A recent leak revealed that the device will offer productivity-focused features.

The ThinkPhone will come equipped with a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) +13-megapixel (ultra-wide) +2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit. For selfies, the device will be equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus support.

The ThinkPhone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. It is expected to come in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM variants and 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage editions. It is likely to house a 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging. The ThinkPhone is expected to offer other features, such as 15W wireless charging, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and an IP68-rated body.

At present, there is no word on the Motorola ThinkPhone’s price. While the ThinkPhone will be a business-centric device, there could be a regular version of the phone. The latter could be called the Motorola Edge 40 Fusion.

A new report has just revealed interesting information regarding future plans of Lenovo for the smartphone market. The company could be planning on launching a new ThinkPhone handset, which might just be a rebranded Motorola Bronco model.

For those unaware, Lenovo acquired Motorola years ago and was initially planning on integrating the latter’s smartphone lineup into its own new smartphones. However, owing to the popularity of Moto branded phones, the Chinese consumer electronics maker decided to retain Motorola as a separate smartphone brand. So as Lenovo targeted the PC market, Motorola would focus on smaller screen devices like smartphones. But a new report has suggested that the Motorola Bronco might also launch with its parent company’s branding as well.

As per a 91Mobiles report, the Bronco was spotted along with its Lenovo variant carrying the same XT-2309 model number. In leaked images, we can see blurry renders of a handset that carries the iconic ThinkPad branding. Although, on closer inspection, it appears to have ThinkPhone etched onto the bottom right corner of the rear panel. Keep in mind that these are likely some early renders or renditions of the ThinkPhone, so it’s entirely possible that Lenovo makes some changes to its overall design.

Notably, a previous road map has revealed key details that might be seen in the Motorola Bronco model, which is set to be a flagship phone. This includes a top end Qualcomm processor (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2), FHD+ resolution with 165Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, 50 megapixel rear cameras that might be paired with another 13 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a macro or 2 megapixel depth shooter as well. The front would house a 16 megapixel selfie camera. So, if the Bronco is planned for a rebrand for the ThinkPhone, we can expect to see these high end specs.
