In a groundbreaking move, Toyota has announced that the next generation of its best-selling sedan in the US, the 2025 Toyota Camry, will exclusively feature a hybrid electric powertrain. The decision aligns with Toyota’s ambitious electrification initiative, showcasing a commitment to reduce carbon emissions and comply with stricter U.S. fuel economy regulations.

Under the hood, the 2025 Camry boasts a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine coupled with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5). Front-wheel drive models offer a standard 225 net combined horsepower, while the Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) models impress with 232HP. The AWD system integrates a dedicated rear electric drive motor, enhancing traction and providing a reliable performance on various terrains.

The exterior has undergone a sleek redesign courtesy of CALTY’s Newport Beach and Ann Arbor studios. The hammerhead front fascia gives the Camry a distinct, athletic appearance, complemented by slim LED headlights and taillights.
