DESIGN and FEATURES

We have definitely seen this design before but the T6 looks nice nevertheless. This speaker uses a 360 degree sound design meaning that you don’t need to worry that much about positioning it in the right place.

The device is made of soft mesh fabric and rubberized plastic on the sides, top and bottom.

On the top, there is a control system including a nice dial that allows you to adjust the volume.

I would say that the overall build quality is excellent but I wish the volume dial was made of the same rubber material as the entire speaker. Also, you should know that the speaker is not water-resistant.  Other than that, I have no complaints.

Overall, I love the crisp and balanced sound. I may want to hear a little bit of separation between mids and highs but I may be too picky.

BATTERY LIFE and CONNECTIVITY

The Tronsmart speaker has a huge 5200mAh battery that lasts forever. During my test, I was able to achieve about 13 hours of battery life, which is close to the official claims of 15h.

It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the battery of the speaker. In terms of connectivity, I didn’t have any issues with the Bluetooth range.

CONCLUSIONS

The Tronsmart Element T6 is a solid budget Bluetooth speaker. We love its design, build, great battery life and of course, very good sound quality considering a low price. One complaint is that the speaker is not water resistant.

Other than that, we can easily recommend the Tronsmart Element T6 as it offers a lot of value for the price of about $42.

UNBOXING

The device comes in a neat looking box and the contents include the charging station itself, a power cord and some documentation.

DESIGN

The Tronsmart charger is made of high-quality plastic and the build quality is excellent despite not using any premium materials like metal.

On one side there is a power input port and the power on/off switch, which works great and it doesn’t seem to break anytime soon.

The star of the show here are 5 USB ports and all of them have a combined power output of 90W or 18W per port. A key feature is that each port supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology and a smart charging tech, which detects the device you plugged in and charges it at the maximum speed possible.

There is not much going on the bottom side. A great thing is that there are rubber pads that help with the grip and prevent the charging station from sliding on the table.

Overall, I’m very happy with the design and build quality of the Tronsmart Titan charging station. Also, it is very compact and lightweight given the feature set it has.

FUNCTIONALITY

You can charge 5 devices at the same time and it worked fine during my testing period.

Once you power on the device, a green LED light up.

We have tested the charging station with various devices that included the ones which support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 feature (e.g. Letv Le 1 Pro) and the ones that don’t . Our test results have shown that the Tronsmart charging station is indeed capable of providing very fast charging speeds. In fact, the device even outperformed the original chargers that are shipped with smartphones (e.g. Lenovo ZUK Z1).

CONCLUSIONS

The Tronsmart Titan 10A/90W 5-Port USB Charger Charging Station does what it is being advertised for. It has 5 ports that are capable of charging your gadgets quickly. 

A great thing that this charging station supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 but if your smartphone or other device does not have Snapdragon chip, the Tronsmart charger is still able of recognising the type of the device you connected to it and provides the fastest charging speeds possible.

All in all, Tronsmart Titan 10A/90W 5-Port USB Charger Charging Station may not be the only product of its kind but does all the thing right and it can be recommended to buy if you are in the market of charging stations.

ZUK announced its first smartphone, ZUK Z1 last month with flagship features such as a 5.5-inch 1080p FHD display and Snapdragon 801 chip. The highlight of the device was its support for latest USB 3.0 standard on the USB type-C port. This made ZUK Z1 the first smartphone with such configuration. Since the phone came with a massive 4100mAh battery, it was necessary for the device to feature a tech like fast charge. Also, we know all Qualcomm 800 series processors supported Quick Charge 2.0, and hence we expected even the ZUK Z1 to come with this tech. But according to a charging analysis of the international version of the ZUK Z1 flagship by the smart charger manufacturer Tronsmart, the device does not support QC 2.0. This could be due to hardware or software limitations.

Before we move on to see the analysis by Tronsmart, lets take a look at the specifications supported by QC 2.0.

Now coming to the actual analysis done by Tronsmart, they tested the international version of the ZUK Z1. This version comes with CyanogenOS and supports charging at 5V 2A. On the other hand, the Chinese variant with ZUI comes with support for 5.3V 2.5A.

Using the original 5V/2A adapter provided in the packaging, the ZUK Z1 charged up to 15% in about 20 minutes. According to their test, the phone was charging at full 2A limit when the screen was off. The total charging time from 0% to 100% of its 4100mAh battery took about 2.5 hours, which is pretty impressive.

However, we had to see whether the phone supported QC 2.0, which can take more than 2A of current. To test this, the guys over at Tronsmart swapped the original charger with their own QC 2.0 supported fast charger at 2.5A. However, even with this charger, the result was more or less the same.

As a result, it looks like the international version of the ZUK Z1 limits current to 2A, which means it does not support fast charging at QC 2.0 standard. On the other hand, the Chinese variant with EUI will charge at a slightly faster rate since its supports charging at 2.5A.

But to be honest, even without QC 2.0, ZUK Z1 manages to impresses us by charging up to 100% within 2.5 hours. So, I am sure, many won’t mind the lack of Quick Charge 2.0 support on the device.
