The Trump Mobile T1 phone has finally gone through benchmark testing, and the results don’t exactly match the hype surrounding its delayed launch. Courtesy of CNET, the phone ran a series of standard industry benchmarks, and it doesn’t exactly scream flagship.

On paper, the T1 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chip, most likely the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. And in real-world performance tests, CNET found that the numbers land closer to Android flagships from around five years ago. 

In some cases, the benchmark results even resemble older HTC devices so closely that the report suggests the phone may be based on an HTC U24 Pro 5G design with a new exterior.

The Trump T1 handles basic tasks fine, and just that

As for everyday chores, the report claims the phone is just about fine for basic tasks like web browsing and video streaming, but it struggles to keep up with current mid-range phones in 2026. 

The single-core and multi-core performance trails behind newer devices from Google, Samsung, and Apple, and graphics performance is even further behind. Below are the benchmark scores against several new and old phones.

Design-wise, the T1 comes in a gold-colored body with a US flag-inspired back. Although, oddly, it only features 11 stripes instead of the standard 13. The software side is handled by Android 15 with minimal extra apps or heavy customization.

The back of the phone includes a triple rear setup led by a 50MP main sensor, 2x optical zoom, and up to 30x digital zoom. It has a 5000mAh battery with 30W charging support.

Trump Mobile has officially entered the wireless market, unveiling its first smartphone alongside its cellular service offering. As revealed in a press announcement featuring Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, the T1 Phone marks the beginning of the brand’s efforts to provide a high-performance yet value-driven mobile solution for American consumers. The announcement coincided with the 10-year anniversary of Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign.

Trump Mobile T1 Phone specifications

The Trump Mobile T1 is a sleek, gold-finish device featuring a 6.78-inch punch-hole AMOLED screen with an in-screen fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock. It runs on Android 15 and is powered by a chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Trump Mobile T1 features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, supported by 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. On the front, the phone includes a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

A 5,000mAh battery supports 20W PD fast charging, and the phone includes a USB Type-C port with OTG support as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. For additional storage, it features a microSD card slot.

Trump Mobile T1 price and availability

Priced at $499, the T1 Phone is set to go on sale in August across the US, with exact pricing yet to be announced. Trump Mobile’s services are based on the infrastructure of all three major 5G networks in the country.

Its flagship plan, called “The 47 Plan,” is priced at $47.45 per month and offers unlimited talk, text, and data, along with features such as device protection, 24/7 roadside assistance, telehealth support, and free international calling to over 100 countries, including those with US military bases. There are no contracts or credit checks required. Customer service is entirely US-based and human-staffed, operating 24/7.
