The OnePlus Pad Go launch is right around the corner. But prior to the official release, the company shared a new teaser for this upcoming tablet. This teaser shares a feature that will be making its way to the Pad Go model, which will make it eye-friendly for the user.

The Chinese smartphone maker shared the teaser via their official X handle (formerly Twitter). Looking at the image poster, OnePlus has confirmed that the Pad Go will feature TUV Rheinland certification, which basically means that it supports low blue light technology. Lower blue light enables better protection of the users’ eyes. Based on what we know so far, the OnePlus Pad Go sports a tall 11.35-inch display, which features a 2.4K resolution and an aspect ratio of 7:5.

Furthermore, the new tablet will be equipped with a quad speaker setup, which features Dolby Atmos support. The pricing of the OnePlys Pad Go is set to be announced on 6th October 2023. The Go also reveals that the new tablet is likely a more affordable tablet compared to the OnePlus Pad model. Earlier this week, a leak revealed that the Pad Go might be powered by a massive 8,000mAh battery pack. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.

This chipset could be paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Other notable features include an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, and Android 13 OS based OyxgenOS 13.2 custom skin out of the box.

Xiaomi’s recently released Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact has secured TUV Rheinland Allergy Care certification. The achievement comes a month after the product was launched. The certification also covered the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4, 4 Pro, and 4 Lite. The Germany-based TUV Rheinland certification means the Xiaomi products successfully scaled the stringent testing hurdles that indicate a great air purification process for the products.

The TUV Rheinland standards include the efficiency of the device’s filter elements, the purification rate of indoor allergens, indoor environmental assessment, and more. The Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact has thus scaled through these requirements with some of the test results also released. The lineup of Xiaomi Smart Air Purifiers is shown to be highly effective in purifying a host of indoor allergens, thus effectively removing potential health threats indoors.

Xiaomi says the latest Allergy Care certification for the Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact (and the other models in the lineup) is a manifestation of the company’s abounding philosophy. It continues to deploy high-impact technologies to support a better life for its customers. A three-in-one filtration system in the Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact is at the heart of the purification process. It comprises a primary filter, a high-efficiency Xiaomi filter, and a carbon filter. The filter is 99.97% efficient, capturing minute dust particles effectively. The gadget provides 24-hour protection and is great for people having respiratory conditions or allergies. It is also capable of effectively absorbing harmful gases and odors in the home. The filter can last up to 12 months and the Xiaomi Home App can be linked to the smart air purifier. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 2021 is in the news since September. Almost two months later, the tablet gets certified by three different certification bureaus, namely FCC, TÜV Rheinland, and BIS. Let’s take a look at what these entries have to say.

From Geekbench listings, we know that the Galaxy Tab A8 2021 will arrive in WiFi-only and LTE variants with model numbers SM-X200 and SM-X205 respectively. However, only the LTE version has been certified by FCC so far.

Whereas, both variants have received certifications from BIS. This means the duo could launch in India.

Further, TÜV Rheinland certification reveals that the tablet will be backed by a 7,040mAh battery. Unfortunately, it will only support 7.8W (1.5A) charging, and therefore, it will take more time to refuel.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy Tav A8 2021 will sport a metal body design with quad-speakers, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will flaunt a 10.4-inch FHD+ TFT LCD panel and will measure 246.7 x 161.8 x 6.9mm in dimensions.

The device will feature an 8MP single rear camera and a sole 5MP front-facing camera. It will be powered by a UNISOC T618 SoC and will run Android 11. Last but not least, it will be available in three colors (silver, gray, gold).

The Galaxy Tab A8 2021 will most likely go official silently like the previous entry-level tablets from Samsung.

Earlier this month, we had reported on the POCO X3 GT bagging the FCC certification. Now, the upcoming smartphone has also been spotted on the Malaysian SIRIM certification, while POCO F3 GT has also received the TUV Rheinland certification as well.

Talking about the X3 GT first, the device is expected to be the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G that has just been spotted clearing the SIRIM certification. This certification revealed the device’s model number and also confirmed its name as the POCO X3 GT. As per this listing (Via MySmartPrice), the smartphone carried the model number 21061110AG, which is in line with the FCC certification we had covered before.

On the other hand, the F3 GT, which is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, was also spotted receiving TUV Rheinland certification. The certification reveals that the model number for the M2012K10C/ M2012K10I. Notably, the “I” in the model number could be a reference to the Indian variant. The listing was spotted by known tipster Mukul Sharma who shared the information along with a screenshot on Twitter.

Furthermore, the company has yet to official reveal any finer details regarding these handsets. Realme just held an online conference earlier today (6th April 2021). In the event, the company offered us a glimpse of its new smart factory for its smartphones and was joined by TÜV Rheinland as well.

The Realme X TÜV Rheinland Quality Standards Event was live streamed on multiple platforms and had the smartphone maker showcase the growing quality standards of its devices. The Chinese tech giant was also joined by the German certification agency, TÜV Rheinland, which is a known brand in the smartphone industry, with its certifications being offered to handsets ranging from flagship to even affordable ones.

On the live stream, the company also showcased its new smart factory in action. This site had been teased recently on multiple image posters, that depicted its assembly lines, smart warehouses, automated workshops, and much more. Realme also further emphasized its focus towards the younger demographic or youth in the event, mentioning how their products are designed around these age groups, starting from product design and even testing.

In the event, the smartphone maker detailed a few key pillars of its Project C. This includes, Definition, Design, Development, Warehousing, Manufacturing, Quality Testing. Notably, the company also said that the Realme C series of smartphones are also the first to receive TÜV Rheinland high reliability certification. The company is built using highly advanced automated machineries, with the brand preparing for the global launch of the C21 and C25 handsets as well. You can check out this event above.

One of the world’s leading display maker LG Display has teamed up with Eyesafe, a company which prides itself as a leader in low blue light solutions for consumer electronics to launch a new TV display. The display which is said to be the world’s first Eyesafe Certified television display will be on display at  CES 2021. The display will be featured on a 65-inch OLED television that would break cover at CES.

The display panel is said to have been designed to conform to Eyesafe standard for low emissions of blue light and optimal color performance. Indeed, the display received a third-party certification from Germany’s TUV Rheinland, confirming that it is safe for the eyes. LG Display projects that the new Eyesafe panel will be used on TVs shipping this year 2021.

LG further stated that the new panel is coming at a time when there are a good number of data from around the globe which shows that the time consumers spend in front of a screen – televisions, smartphones, laptops, and others,  is on a rapid rise globally. The COVID 19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown was instrumental in the increase.

In the United States, a Nielsen report indicates the average user’s screen-time exceeds 13 hours a day. The Eyesafe Display Standard is the world’s leading set of health-based requirements for the consumer electronics industry. The standard was developed with assistance from over 250 top ophthalmologists, optometrists, and engineers after conducting and analyzing clinical health and safety research on the impact of exposure to high-energy blue light.

LG hasn’t disclosed how much the display would cost. It is also unclear if the technology deployed on the panel will have any effect on the display performance but we doubt it will. LG is known for its quality and so, the technology will likely be one that won’t lead to a compromise on the picture quality.

Earlier this month, the primary specifications of the upcoming Motorola Capri and Motorola Capri Plus were revealed. Last week, the former device was even spotted on FCC. Now, the latter also hits FCC along with Geekbench and TÜV Rheinland.

According to FCC, the forthcoming Motorola Capri Plus smartphone will come with model number XT2129. This goes in line with the previous report.

Further, as per the Geekbench listing, this handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 paired with 4GB RAM and will run Android 11 out of the box. That’s not all, since this phone has also been certified by TÜV Rheinland, we know that it will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging.

As per the report from early December, the Motorola Capri Plus will flaunt an HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be available in two storage configurations – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB respectively.

On the back, it will sport a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor (wide-angle lens), a 13MP Samsung S5K3L6 sensor (ultra-wide lens), a 2MP OmniVision OV02B depth sensor, and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M1 sensor (macro lens). Whereas, the front of the device will house a 13MP Samsung S5K4H7 sensor for selfies and video calls.

Other features of this handset will include NFC and dual-SIM, both of which will differ by region. Last but not least, it is not known when this smartphone will be officially unveiled.

Samsung is said to be working on two budget devices, Galaxy A02, and Galaxy M02. Among this, the Galaxy A02 hit several certifications like Bluetooth SIG, FCC, NBTC. Now, the device has appeared on TUV Rheinland Certification revealing battery and charging specs.

As reported by Root MyGalaxy(via Sammobile) a Samsung smartphone with model number SM-A025M appears on CPQD R&D center of Latin America and has an ‘A02’ moniker. This is similar to earlier Bluetooth certifications which showed a model number SM-A025F. All these suggest that the device is indeed Galaxy A02. Next, the listing also shows that the device’s battery and charger have model numbers HQ-50S and  EP-TA200B.

Further, a device with a similar battery model number is spotted on TUV Rheinland Certification. It shows that the device has a 5,000mAh battery. Also, an earlier SGS Fimko listing reportedly suggests that EP-TA200B could indicate 15W charging on the A02.  In any case, the battery is about 60% improvement in battery from the predecessor Galaxy A01 which had only 3,000mAh capacity.

Anyway, talking about specs, the Galaxy A02 is likely to feature a 5.7-inch HD+ display. Early reports say that the device could sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with 2/3GB RAM, and likely have 32/64GB storage. As for the optics, it is likely to sport a 13MP main and a 2MP sensor on the rear, and an 8MP selfie camera.

Early Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certifications reveal that the device will have Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n for connectivity. That said, we can also expect others like 4G LTE, GPS, GLONASS for navigation. Also, considering this is likely a budget device don’t expect it to have the latest Android 11 out of the box just yet.

Considering the device’s model number is already on Latin America’s Samsung Support page, we feel that the device isn’t that far away from launch.

We are in the second half of 2020 but POCO is yet to launch the successor (POCO F2) to the original POCO F1 from 2018. Instead, we got POCO X2 (Redmi K30 4G), POCO F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro), and POCO M2 Pro. The brand is also expected to unveil an entry-level smartphone called POCO C3 (Redmi 9C). Recently, Angus, the Global Spokesperson of the brand even teased the arrival of a high-refresh-rate device. This handset may have been now spotted on FCC, BIS, and TÜV Rheinland Japan

The FCC listing of a mysterious POCO smartphone with model number M2007J20CG and M2007J20CT is being sheared by multiple tipsters and tech influencers on Twitter. We are not sure of the first person who spotted it. With the help of screenshots shared by @the_tech_guy, even we were able to retrieve it from FCC.

Last week, this very same handset received TKDN and EEC certifications but those did not reveal anything except for the fact that it is a POCO-branded 4G smartphone. Whereas, today’s certification findings not only reveal the battery and charging speed but also the rear design.

According to an FCC document, this upcoming 4G POCO smartphone will run MIUI 12 and will come with BN57 battery and  MDY-12-EA 33W Xiaomi charger. As per Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the device has also received BIS and TÜV Rheinland Japan certifications. The latter even revealed the capacity of the battery to be 5,160mAh.

Another FCC document also exposes the rear design of this forthcoming phone. The sketch reveals the device to sport a 64MP camera setup arranged on a rounded rectangle platform located at the centre. Additionally, a textured line will run along the middle of the back panel with a huge POCO branding at the bottom.

As for other specs, according to a deleted tweet by Aguns (via Abhishek Yadav), this phone will sport an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. That said, the chipset powering it is still a mystery and only that can give us an idea if it will be a mid-range device or a flagship killer.

Though most netizens are claiming it to be POCO X3, there’s a high chance for it to be the long-awaited POCO F2. Why are we saying this? That’s because the design of this handset is original (not a rebranded Redmi device). Since the original POCO F1 is one of the most beloved smartphones in recent years, its successor deserves originality and this mysterious phone delivers it.

Anyway, this is just a speculation from our end. It may even end up us something else as the POCO M2 Pro also has a unique design touch though it is part of Redmi Note 9 family. Maybe, the Redmi variant of this phone will launch later in China. So It could be a rebranded handset too.

OnePlus CEO recently hinted that the company is looking to build an ecosystem and that plan will kick off with a product launch event next month in India. The Chinese company is expected to launch the OnePlus TV and also a mid-range smartphone, something it had not done in years. The smartphone was earlier tipped to adopt the moniker OnePlus Z but a recent tip points to it being named OnePlus Nord.

Well, the OnePlus Nord (OnePlus Z if you like) has now been certified by Germany’s TuV Rheinland. The device certified by TUV Rheinland actually bore the name OnePlus AC2003. But if you recall, the same model had earlier appeared on Geekbench database with some of its key specs in tow.

The TUV Rheinland certification page shows the device will pack a 5V/6A super-fast charging support. This means the device may ship with a 30W fast charging adapter. Unfortunately, the page doesn’t reveal any more detail of the model. However, recertification is also a pointer to the fact that the model will have a display that is devoid of harmful blue light.

The earlier GeekBench listing for the OnePlus AC2003 reveals the device will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 12GB of RAM. For the interface, the smartphone will ship with Android 10 OS out of the box. The OnePlus Nord 5G is rumoured to pack a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a centrally placed punch hole and support for 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is also rumoured to feature a quad-camera setup at the rear while it will get its juice from a 4000mAh battery with USB-C port and 30W fast charging support.

The Japanese arm of TÜV Rheinland has certified a dual-battery system for Realme. The battery setup is expected to be for an upcoming Realme phone.

There are speculations that the battery system, which has a typical capacity of 2250mAh (each) is for the Realme X3 Pro. This makes sense since the Realme X2 Pro also uses a dual battery system (2x 2000mAh).

We expect the upcoming device will have support for Realme’s 65W SuperDart fast charging technology when it launches.

There are rumors the Realme X3 Pro will launch alongside the Realme X3 Superzoom in India soon. The Snapdragon 865 processor should be the chipset under the hood along with UFS 3.1 storage. The rest of the specs of the phone are currently unknown but should surface in the weeks leading up to its release.

Xiaomi has been long-rumored to release the MIUI 12. A new report from earlier today suggests that it will be announced by the end of April. Amidst this, the official Weibo account of TÜV Rheinland teases a world’s first certification for MIUI. Quoting this post, Wang Teng, the product director of Redmi further teases the upcoming certification to be for MIUI 12.

We have come across multiple rumors and leaks of MIUI 12 over the past few weeks. But this teaser is unique as the 10-year-old Xiaomi mobile software is finally getting its TÜV Rheinland certification. In fact, this is the first time we are hearing about the 148-years-old German safety monitoring firm to certify a mobile operating system.

TÜV Rheinland is known for certifying displays on certain smartphones for eye comfort. Almost all Huawei and Honor smartphones launched in recent times wield this certification. Even Xiaomi joined this bandwagon with the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Now, the company’s MIUI software is expected to get a similar treatment.

But it is not sure which version of MIUI will be certified by the German company. MIUI 11 is now 7 months old and we are already seeing strong evidence of MIUI 12 to be in the development phase with an early release schedule than ever before in recent years. Also, the announcement of  MIUI 12 will mark the 10th anniversary of Xiaomi’s mobile software and even its existence.

Thus, when TÜV Rheinland posted about certification for MIUI, the Redmi product director Wang Teng jumped into further hype to make-believe his followers the certification is indeed for MIUI 12. We aren’t sure if he is being sarcastic but if he’s serious, then we believe MIUI 12 announcement may happen very soon.

On the 23rd of October, Meizu launched it latest flagship smartphone, dubbed the Meizu 16T, it is one of the most affordable Snapdragon 855 powered handsets in the market. At the launch event, Meizu officials were observed boasting off that the display on their latest offering is low blue light certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Soon after the event was over, the company landed itself in trouble as TÜV Rheinland AG released a statement saying that the phone wasn’t tested or certified by their organization. For reference purposes, displays certified by TÜV have reduced blue light and are flicker-free to protect eyes and preserve the vision of the users and allow them to change body position without compromising visual image quality.

Obviously, such a mistake could lead to bad consumer reception for any newly launched product, therefore, Meizu was quick enough to release a response statement. According to which, Meizu 16T’s AMOLED display is jointly customized with Samsung who holds the TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification (ID: 14190721437).

Following Meizu’s narrative, TUV Rheinland acknowledged the apology of the Chinese corporation and a senior official replied with the following statement:

I am very pleased to see that Meizu Technology is responsible for this event and appreciates the rigorous and realistic attitude of Meizu Technology in product promotion.

To wrap things up, the whole matter has now been sorted between two parties and Meizu, without any hurdles, can proceed with the sales of its latest flagship.

Earlier today, Meizu announced its new value for money flagship, the Meizu 16T in China featuring Snapdragon 855 and triple cameras. At the flagship conference, the company revealed that the Meizu 16T comes with a TÜV Rheinland’s low blue light certification.

However, to everyone’s surprise, right after the Meizu conference, TÜV Rheinland released a statement saying that the phone wasn’t tested or certified by their organization. Apart from distancing themselves from Meizu 16T, the company further added that it would take relevant legal measures to deal with this issue.

We haven’t yet heard from Meizu about this certification issue, but it is being said that the Super AMOLED panel used by the 16T is actually TÜV Rheinland certified. Meizu didn’t send the phone for independent certification to the organization, which is why they claim Meizu isn’t allowed market the 16T as TÜV Rheinland certified.

Whatever the case, we should see some kind of statement from Meizu clarifying the issue very soon. The company may decide to remove TÜV Rheinland’s logo and certification details from its marketing materials. Or else, it could send the phone to the organization and pay the necessary fees for certifying it.

Huawei has become the first manufacturer to receive a 5G mobile phone certificate in the EU. Earlier today, Huawei’s VP, Li Xiaolong was awarded the CE certificate by the president of Germany’s TÜV Rheinland, Stefan Kischka for the Huawei Mate X foldable phone.

The CE certificate is a requirement for any product that will be sold within the European Economic Area. It certifies that the product is safe and meets health and environmental standards.

The Huawei Mate X is the first 5G phone in the world to receive this certification and it hints at the phone launching in the region in the near future. It also means that Huawei is already working on mass production of the phone.

Huawei’s Li Xiaolong says the CE certificate is like a passport to enter the European market. However, getting it isn’t as easy as that required for 4G devices as the process is more stringent.

The Huawei Mate X was unveiled at MWC 2019 last month. It has a flexible AMOLED display panel that folds outward. When unfolded, the screen size is 8-inches with a 2200 x 2480 resolution and when folded it has a 6.6-inch 1148 x 2480 screen on one side and a 6.38-inch 2480 x 892 display on the other side.

The phone is powered by the Kirin 980 paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The 5G chip inside the phone is the Balong 5000. There is dual SIM support though only one SIM slot supports 5G. It also has triple rear cameras co-developed with Leica – a 40MP wide angle lens, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The cameras also double as the selfie cameras. Other features include a 4,500mAh battery with support for 55W fast charging, Android 9 pie, NFC, and dual-frequency GPS.
