Ulefone Future is finally up for pre-order and users from across the globe can order the device via a number of online retailers. Since the company has started accepting pre-orders, Ulefone decided to demonstrate the performance of the bezel-less display on the Ulefone Future.

The highlight of this device is the bezel-less 5.5-inch 1080p display, so it becomes important for the company to showcase the performance of the display in real life. We still haven’t got our hands on the Future, but here’s a video released by the company showing off the phone’s screen.

The company has reportedly spent a good amount of time adjusting the color tone of the screen for the optimum display experience. You might be seeing a tint of blue on the screen in the video, but Ulefone says that’s because of the poor lighting conditions in Shenzhen at the time of filming the video.

Bezel-less display also means a compact size. This is why despite its 5.5-inch display panel, the Ulefone Future is smaller than the iPhone 6S Plus, which makes it easier to operate with a single hand. The company has also informed us that they have managed to solve the problem of misoperations on the edge of the touch screen (which many fear) by the use of sophisticated algorithms. We will have to see the device in action to see how well the software works to avoid such a problem.

To recap, the Ulefone Future comes with Helio P10 octa-core chip clocked at 2GHz with 4GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 16MP Samsung camera and USB Type-C port. The phone is currently available for pre-sale at a price tag of $239.99 till May 25. Smartphone manfuacturers seems to be obsessed about screen bezels. We have seen a few bezel-less smartphones from Chinese companies like Nubia, but now local smartphone makers like Ulefone are also invested in this technology. We have been hearing about the company’s first bezel-less smartphone, namely the Ulefone Future since MWC 2016, and now, the phone will finally go on pre-sale from May 4.

As a part of the initial promotion of the handset, the company will be offering the Ulefone Future for just $199.99, instead of the original price tag of $249.99. This is a good $70 discount from the earlier revealed price tag, making it quite an attractive option. However, this price is only for a limited number of units.

The company informs us that 2000 units of the Ulefone Future will be made available for sale on May 4 at 5PM (GMT +8) via 10 different partner stores of the company simultaneously. After the flash sale is over, the phone will be available for purchase for a slightly higher price tag of $239.99 until the pre-sale period is over i.e. May 25. This price includes the various accessories that the company will be providing along with your purchase, like 9V 2~3A fast charger, USB Type-C cable, USB Type-C to MicroUSB adapter, TPU case, screen protector, and dust plug. In case you are wondering, the orders placed during the flash sale at $199.99 will only come with the USB Type-C cable for accessories.

Coming to the specs of the phone, the Ulefone Future will come a bezel-less 5.5-inch display with the Helio P10 octa-core chip inside and 4GB of RAM. There will be 32GB of storage on board, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 rear camera sensor with PDAF and dual tone LED flash and a 3000mAh battery with 9V 2A~3A fast charge. As for software, the phone runs on Android 6.0.

There will be two colors available to choose from, grey and golden.
