Now, new leaked render confirms these specs and reveals more information.

For starters, the render shows that it will come in 2 colors: Gradient Blue and Black. Also, following the industry trends, the back cover will have a curved texture when the light hits on it. As you can see, the photo indicates that the selfie shooter will host a 32MP sensor which is assumed to be the same flagship sensor found in Huawei P30 Pro and Honor 20 Pro, Samsung GD1. What’s also revealed is that the F2 will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, leaving the back cover clean and more consistent-looking.

The information that surfaced refers to a fourth camera in addition to the traditional triple setup. The additional camera on the F2 has a 5MP macro lens and sits just below the LED flash and is able to take close-up shots from just 2 centimeters away. This is very useful especially for nature fans that can use it to shoot detailed photos of small insects or the pollen inside a flower for example. But tech fans can also use it to take close up photos of small ports and buttons on devices.

As the image leaked reveals, the main camera hosts a 48MP sensor of 1/2″ in size, f/1.79 aperture, and 1.6μm (4in1) pixel size. The top 5MP camera acts as a depth camera for better bokeh effect on portraits while the bottom unit is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120 degrees FoV.

There is no pop-up camera as the UMIDIGI F2 will be coming with a punch hole at the top left corner of the display, covering a small area like Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Note 10 and the Honor 20 Pro. Also, the chin at the bottom is very thin and the rest of the specs, virtually non-existent. Judging from the frame color, it is safe to assume that it will come with a gradient blue back-cover to pair the blue frame.

Some more information is revealed from the watermark citing “SHOT ON UMIDIGI F2 48MP AI QUAD CAMERA” at the bottom left corner of the screen, which means the F2 will have a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP primary sensor. But according to UMIDIGI’s strategy until now, this one should be part of the budget market segment.

That’s great since OLED panels have more accurate colors with true black, better contrast, and sometimes better brightness than common LCD panels. Chinese phone manufacturer UMIDIGI is gradually carving out a name for itself in the mid-range and budget phone segments. The company recently launched the UMIDIGI One Pro and revealed some details of the expected UMIDIGI One Max. Some details of a new model that is in the works have been spotted in a poster which made the rounds recently. From the leaked poster, we can see that the device will adopt the moniker UMIDIGI F1 which bears semblance with Xiaomi’s affordable flagship killer- Poco F1. 

The poster also contains not just the render of the device but also some key specifications. The render shows the presence of a waterdrop notch design on top of the full-screen display panel. This is similar to what would be utilised on the UMIDIGI One Max. UMIDIGI F1 is also expected to feature a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset which was used on the OPPO R15, F9 Pro, Vivo Y97 and UMIDIGI’s 2018 flagship UMIDIGI Z2 Pro. The Helio P60 is on the same level as the Snapdragon 660 chipset and so, can handle demanding games like PUBG.
