The first render of the Umidigi Bison has leaked revealing the rear design of the smartphone along with its quad-rear camera. A rugged back panel is easily visible in the render leak.

Umidigi Bison will feature some combination of modern smartphone design, including solid camera setup and rugged features. The matrix quad camera is visible along with a large LED flash which can fully illuminate the low-light environment. It resembles the recently launched Umidigi S5 Pro but houses a better 64-megapixel primary sensor.

Moreover, we can spot three dots alongside the camera module forming a triangle which could be some new sensor. The smartphone’s branding is clearly visible exactly at the centre of the device with a unique symbol and stylish design. Whole design on the rear side, from top to bottom and across all the corners gives a sturdy and stealthy look. It is highly speculated to feature IP68/IP69 rating for the shockproof, waterproof and dustproof experience.

On the front, we can see a punch-hole display offering a vivid and immersive viewing experience while maintaining thin bezels. Full details about the device and the hardware are not yet available. Chinese tech company UMIDIGI has revealed via a tweet posted recently that it will launch a new smartwatch which has as its biggest feature a SpO2 monitor. The smartwatch will be called UMIDIGI UFit and isn’t just a smartwatch but a fitness and health tracker. The product will be launched on March 16.

In the face of the Coronavirus outbreak, the focus on health and fitness has increased. The blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) level is a vital indicator of a person’s health. This tracking the SpO2 level is also a new wearable tech metric getting adopted by more manufacturers. It might sound complicated but SpO2 can reveal conditions. For example, coronavirus and sleep apnea may cause low blood oxygen saturation.

The SpO2 monitor is already in some big-name wearables: Fitbit and Garmin already have an SpO2 sensor on most of their devices, and Huawei has jumped in too. UMIDIGI UFit is expected to also have a SpO2 sensor but it would be much more affordable, in line with UMIDIGI’s market strategy.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the device, but there are a few things we can speculate from the teaser image. Besides the SpO2 monitoring function, it apparently has a curved screen and 2.5D glass. And there’s a side button to control the watch. We won’t have to wait long to learn more about the smartwatch since it goes official on March 16.

The Note 8 Pro comes with the more powerful Helio G90T SoC but the Helio P70 on the F2 is no slouch either. As we’ve seen in previous news, the device will be the first Android 10 phone of the Chinese manufacturer and will come with a hole-punch display as well as a 48MP AI quad-camera. Now, new leaked render confirms these specs and reveals more information.

For starters, the render shows that it will come in 2 colors: Gradient Blue and Black. Also, following the industry trends, the back cover will have a curved texture when the light hits on it. As you can see, the photo indicates that the selfie shooter will host a 32MP sensor which is assumed to be the same flagship sensor found in Huawei P30 Pro and Honor 20 Pro, Samsung GD1. What’s also revealed is that the F2 will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, leaving the back cover clean and more consistent-looking.

The upcoming flagship, UMIDIGI F2, will feature such a camera setup with a dedicated macro lens according to the latest leak.

The information that surfaced refers to a fourth camera in addition to the traditional triple setup. The additional camera on the F2 has a 5MP macro lens and sits just below the LED flash and is able to take close-up shots from just 2 centimeters away. This is very useful especially for nature fans that can use it to shoot detailed photos of small insects or the pollen inside a flower for example. But tech fans can also use it to take close up photos of small ports and buttons on devices.

As the image leaked reveals, the main camera hosts a 48MP sensor of 1/2″ in size, f/1.79 aperture, and 1.6μm (4in1) pixel size. The top 5MP camera acts as a depth camera for better bokeh effect on portraits while the bottom unit is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120 degrees FoV.

Besides the Android version, one of the most notable elements is the notch-less design. There is no pop-up camera as the UMIDIGI F2 will be coming with a punch hole at the top left corner of the display, covering a small area like Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Note 10 and the Honor 20 Pro. Also, the chin at the bottom is very thin and the rest of the specs, virtually non-existent. Judging from the frame color, it is safe to assume that it will come with a gradient blue back-cover to pair the blue frame.

Some more information is revealed from the watermark citing “SHOT ON UMIDIGI F2 48MP AI QUAD CAMERA” at the bottom left corner of the screen, which means the F2 will have a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP primary sensor.
