The chipset which is known as Qualcomm Mobile 215 (QM 215) has now made an appearance on GeekBench aboard what is apparently a test model. <img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-239800" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go.png?x44794" alt="Quacomm QM215" width="644" height="538" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go.png 644w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go-300x251.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go-95x80.png 95w" sizes="(max-width: 644px) 100vw, 644px" /></p>
<p>The GeekBench listing confirms a few details of the low-end processor as revealed earlier by Mr Quandt. These details include a Quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 gigahertz and a GPU at 650 megahertz.  This is almost on par with the present entry-level Snapdragon 410 and 425 chipsets. The chipset is basically for phones packing 1/2GB RAM and 8/16GB of storage and running Android Go. The test phone runs Android 9.0 Pie and is perhaps one of the next-gen Android Go devices.<img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-239801" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go-2.png?x44794" alt="QM215 Qualcomm" width="652" height="536" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go-2.png 652w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/qualcomm-android-go-2-300x247.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 652px) 100vw, 652px" /></p>

<p>A second GeekBench listing for a device with the codename UMX U505TL was also spotted. The device is powered by the QM215 chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM. It equally runs on Android 9.0 Pie, Android Go version obviously. The processor will likely bring more energy efficient to the low-end models. Apart from that, the processor may likely be cheaper and thus could bring down the pricing of Android Go phones in emerging economies such as India, South America, Africa etc.</p>
<p>Qualcomm is yet to officially announce the QM215 but we expected the US fabless chipmaker to do that soon.</p>
