The Realme C51 is now available for purchase in India. The most affordable C-series Realme phone was announced at the beginning of this month. It offers key features such as a 90Hz display, a Unisoc chip, a big battery, and 50-megapixel dual cameras.

The Realme C51 is available for purchase with a price tag of Rs 8,999 (~$108). Buyers can visit Realme India’s website, Flipkart, and offline stores to avail the device. It can be bought in shades like Carbon Black and Mint Green. Buyers with ICICI, SBI, HDFC, Axis, and Kotak debit and credit cards can take advantage of the Rs 500 discount. In addition, the offer is also available on ICICI EMI and internet banking transactions.

Realme C51 specifications

The Realme C51 comes with a 6.7-inch IPS LCS display featuring HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of photography, the C51 sports a 5-megapixel front camera, while its rear panel houses a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary lens.

Under the hood, the Realme C51 is equipped with the Unisoc T612 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage. The phone comes preinstalled with the Realme UI T-based Android 13. It packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. In other news, Realme has started teasing the arrival of a new Realme 11-series phone. The initial teaser suggests that it will be the most affordable 5G phone in the series. The Realme C51 comes in a single trim that offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Priced at Rs 8,999 (~$108), the device comes in Carbon Black and Mint Green shades.

The company carried out the early bird sale of the C51 on Sept. 4, a couple of hours after its launch. Today, the phone will be available for purchase between 6pm and 8pm (local time) in India through Flipkart and Realme India’s websites. During the limited-time window sale, users can avail the device for Rs 8,499 (~$104) through a flat Rs 500 (~$6) discount using ICICI and SBI cards.

Realme C51 specifications

The Realme C51 has a 6.7-inch IPS LCS panel that offers HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It features the Unisoc T612 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The device offers 64 GB of storage and runs on Realme UI T-based Android 13.

The C51 has a 5-megapixel front camera, and its back panel has a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup. The device is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-facing fingerprint sensor, and a microSD card slot.

In related news, Realme recently unveiled the Narzo 60x 5G and Buds T300 TWS earbuds in India. Priced at Rs 12,999 (~$156) and Rs 2,299 (~$27), respectively, both devices are set to go on sale on Sept. 12. The Narzo 60x will be sold via Amazon, whereas the Buds T300 will be available through Flipkart and Amazon. Both devices will be sold through Realme’s website.

Realme unveiled the Narzo N53 last week in India. It is positioned below the Helio G88-powered Narzo N55 in the country. The N53 is confirmed to go on sale on March 24 through Amazon and Realme India’s website. However, as promised by the brand, it will carry out a special sale of the phone today (May 22) through the said platforms.

Last week, the Realme Narzo N53 was announced in two variants, such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for Rs 8,999 (~$108) and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for Rs 10,999 (~$133). It comes in two shades, namely, Feather Gold and Feather Black.

The Realme Narzo N53 special sale will be conducted between 2pm and 4pm (local time) in India through Amazon and Realme India’s website. During this period, the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage can be purchased with up to Rs 750 discount, and the higher 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage can buy with up to Rs 1,000 discount. The N53 can be purchased with the said discounts using HDFC and ICICI credit and debit cards.

The Realme Narzo N53 has a 6.74-inch IPS LCD HD+ display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes preloaded with Android 13 OS and Realme UI. When it comes to security, the device offers a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The device is equipped with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel (main) + 0.3-megapixel dual-camera unit.

Realme is reportedly working on a new C-series phone called the Realme C53. This device has been spotted with model number RMX3760 at certification platforms in different countries, such as India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Hence, it appears that it will not take too long for the C53 to go official. In a new report, Appuals has published the renders and specifications of the C53. Here is a look at what to expect from the smartphone.

Realme C53 specifications (rumored)

The Realme C53 is tipped to feature a 6.74-inch IPS LCD panel, boasting an impressive HD+ resolution and a buttery-smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The Unisoc T612 chipset, 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 6 GB of virtual RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging support are reportedly its power sources.

The C53 will arrive with 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage and a microSD card slot for more storage. For selfies, it will have an 8-megapixel front camera, and its rear-facing dual-camera system on the back will have a 50-megapixel main lens and a 0.3-megapixel secondary lens.

The report further mentions that it will have dual 4G VoLTE, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device will have flat edges and measure 7.59mm in thickness. As of this writing, there is no word on the price of the device.

The Realme Narzo N55, which debuted last month, is exclusively available through Amazon in India. A rebranded version of the phone with the Realme C55 moniker is available through Flipkart in the country. In the same way, the Narzo N53, which just went official, will be sold through Amazon in India, and it will be repackaged and sold via Flipkart as the Realme C53.

In January 2023, HMD Global unveiled the Nokia T21 tablet in India. Before it was announced in India, the tablet was made official for the global market in September 2022. It is a mid-range tablet that replaces the Nokia T20 tablet from last year. As per Nokia India’s website, the T21 is a long-lasting tablet designed for both work and play.

The Nokia T21, which comes with 4G voice calling support, starts at Rs 17,999 (~$217) in India. The Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (Gen 3) and the Moto Tab G62 are the only new tablets that come with support for 4G connectivity and run on Android 12. The T21 also comes in a Wi-Fi only version, which was provided to GizmoChina for review. Here is my take on the tablet after using it for around three weeks.

What’s in the box?

The retail package of the Nokia T21 includes the following items:

Design and Display

The Nokia T21 comes with an aluminium-unibody chassis. The vertical strip running beside the rear camera gives it a dual-tone look. With an IP52 rating, it offers splash resistance and limited protection. The thickness of the device is 7.5mm and it weighs around 470 grams. The company claims that the tablet is equipped with toughened glass on the front. The T21 comes in Charcoal Gray colour only.

The rear side of the Nokia T21 features a single camera with an LED flash. A power button and a loudspeaker are available on the left side of the tablet, whereas its right edge has a 3.5mm audio jack (at the corner), a USB-C port, and another loudspeaker. The top edge of the T21 has a microSD slot, microphones, and a volume rocker. The bottom side of the tablet is completely barren.

The Nokia T21 has a 10.36-inch IPS LCD panel that produces a 2K resolution and a 5:3 aspect ratio. I felt that the tablet should have offered at least up to 90Hz refresh rate and higher peak brightness for using it outdoors.

The 1-cm bezels around the Nokia T21’s display do not appear obtrusive and offer a good viewing experience. Since there is support for 2K resolution, the image quality is quite good. Users can choose from color profile options, such as natural, boosted, and adaptive. The T20 only supported Widevine L3, meaning it could only stream 480p resolution content on OTT platforms. With the Widevine L1 certification, the T21 supports HD content.

According to the brand, the tablet has dual stereo speakers that support OZO spatial audio recording. Regarding audio playback, it can deliver up to 96 decibels of volume. While the bass is missing, the sound output is quite loud, clear, and distortion free. The decent display and good audio performance make the Nokia T21 a good tablet for content consumption.

According to Nokia, the tablet is built to last since it is made from durable materials and has software support for up to 3 years. The retail package for the tablet does not include any accessories. However, the tablet does support a Wacom Active ES 2.0 pen (stylus), and users can also try using third-party Bluetooth keyboards.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Nokia T21 has the 12nm Unisoc T612 that works at 1.8GHz. While it is the only tablet to feature this chipset, a couple of mid-range smartphones, such as the Realme C33, C31, C30, Narzo 50i, and Narzo 50A Prime. do feature it. The tablet comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. The external storage slot supports up to 512 GB of microSD card.

The tablet packs an 8,200mAh battery, which is the largest in size as compared to its competitors. When used for work and entertainment, the tablet was able to easily last for two days. The company claims that the tablet can last up to 3 days on a full charger, which is possible if used conservatively. The retail package in some regions, including India, includes an 18W charger. It took over 3 hours for the tablet to achieve a full charge. I did not encounter a heating issue while using the device.

The Nokia T21 comes with Android 12 OS preinstalled. The tablet is promised to receive two years of OS upgrades and three years of monthly security updates. The review unit came with the Android security patches up to December 2022 preinstalled.

The T21 offers a near-stock Android experience and comes with some third-party apps, such as Prime Video, Netflix, Spotify, and Express VPN. The following are some of the apps that cannot be uninstalled. These include Entertainment Space, Kids Space, My Device app (by Nokia), Sign Pro PDF, Bamboo Paper, and Wacom Notes for taking notes and drawing, and Second Screen for use as an extra display for a Windows PC.

The performance of the tablet is good enough for web browsing, watching movies, casual gaming, and taking notes. If you wish to play games with high graphics and powerful software, it would be better to invest in a more powerful tablet. Here is a look at how the tablet performed on benchmarking apps.

Photography and Other Features

There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front of the Nokia T21. Its back panel has an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash that offers autofocus and 8x digital zoom. The front camera is good enough for video calling or Zoom meetings. The rear camera offers decent performance for still shots when there is enough light. Both cameras support video recording at 30 fps.

The Nokia T21 tablet has all the important connectivity features, except 5G support. The SIIM tray has two slots, one for the microSD card and the other for the SIM. In the absence of a fingerprint scanner, the tablet offers security features like screen lock and face unlock. Aside from the dual stereo speakers, users can enjoy music via a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Verdict

I hope Nokia fixes the slight lag issue on the Nokia T21 through a software update. Otherwise, the tablet is worth considering a purchase as it comes with some impressive features like a 2K display, a sturdy build, 4G connectivity, good sound output, a near-stock Android experience, a microSD card slot, long battery life, and stylus support.

For the 4G variant, there are only a few competitors, such as the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (Gen 3) and the Moto Tab G62. However, there are many rivalling products, such as the Redmi Pad, Oppo Pad Air, and Realme Pad X, if only the Wi-Fi variant is taken into consideration.

Price and availability

At the time of writing this post, the Nokia T21 is priced at Rs 17,499 (~$211) for the Wi-Fi only edition on Flipkart. The Wi-Fi + 4G version of the tablet costs Rs 18,499 (~$223) in India. Customers who purchase the Nokia T21 via the Nokia India website using the DEAL1000 coupon code can get an instant discount of Rs 1,000 as well as a flip cover worth Rs 1,999 for free. This offer is not available on Flipkart. Both variants are available for Rs 17,999 (~$217) and Rs 18,999 (~$229) on Nokia’s website [same as launch prices].

It offers a 2K display, a massive battery, and a Unisoc chip. Here is all the information on the specifications, features, and price of the Nokia T21.

The Nokia T21 has a 10.36-inch LCD panel that supports a 2K resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels, an aspect ratio of 5:3, up to 360 nits of brightness, and Widevine L1 for Netflix HD. The screen is shielded by toughened glass. The tablet can be used as a screen with a PC, and it supports Wacom WGP and Wacom Active ESE 2.0 styluses. Readers should note that an active pen is not bundled with the device.

The front and rear sides of the tablet feature an 8-megapixel camera. The rear snapper comes with features like autofocus and an LED flash.

The Unisoc T612 chipset is present under the hood of the Nokia T21. It offers 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. It is an Android Enterprise recommended tablet that runs on Android 12 OS and is confirmed to receive two OS upgrades and three years of monthly security updates.

The Narzo 50A Prime has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear shell has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel B&W lens, and a 2-megapixel macro snapper. The smartphone can be purchased through Realme India’s online store and Amazon India starting at 12 pm (local time) on April 28. Customers can get the device in Flash Black and Flash Blue colors.

Earlier this week, the Realme C31 went official in Indonesia with a price tag of IDR 1,599,000 (~$112; ~Rs 8,500). Today, the Indian wing of the brand confirmed that it will be launching the Realme C31 on March 31 in India. The landing page of the phone is now available on Realme India’s website.

Realme has confirmed that the Realme C31 will debut at 12:30 pm (local time) on March 31 in India. As can be seen in the image below, the device will arrive in two colors.

The Realme C31’s official page has confirmed that it has a 5,000mAh battery with Ultra-Saving Mode, a 13-megapixel triple camera unit, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The device features a waterdrop notch display on the front. Its bottom edge has a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, and a USB-C port. The device sports a slim profile of 8.4mm.

Realme C31 specifications

The Realme C31 for India is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution. It will feature a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 13-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit.

The device will be powered by the Unisoc T612 chipset. Its 5,000mAh battery will carry support for 10W charging. The device will come preinstalled with the Android 11 OS and Realme UI R edition UI. For additional storage, it will feature a microSD card slot.

The Realme C31 is expected to arrive with 3 GB / 4GB of RAM and 32 GB / 64 GB of storage. Unfortunately, there isn’t any information on how much the device costs in the Indian market at this time.

In Indonesia, the 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variants of the Realme C31 are priced at IDR 1,599,000 (~$112; ~Rs 8,500) and IDR 1,749,000 (~$122; ~Rs 9,300), respectively. It is available in Dark Green and Light Silver colors.

Realme held a launch event today to announce the Realme GT 2 Pro series of smartphones in Indonesia. At the same event, the company also took off the covers of the Realme Narzo 50A Prime. It is an enhanced version of the existing Narzo 50A handset. In terms of specs, the Narzo 50A Prime is almost identical to the Realme C35, which is available in some other markets. They are priced at IDR 1,799,000 (~$125) and IDR 1,999,000 (~$139), respectively. These are the early bird sale price for Indonesia. The regular price tags of both models are IDR 1,999,000 (~$139) and IDR 2,199,000 (~$153). Flash Black and Flash Blue are the two colour variants of the device.
