The UNISOC W307 was unveiled yesterday and it comes with a bunch of features including an integrated 4G multi-mode modem.

Built on TSMC’s 28nm HPC+ process, the UNISOC W307 is said to be based on an “ultra-low-power architecture design”. The chipmaker says the package area is 30% smaller than that of the last generation, which brings an improvement in performance, connectivity, intelligence, and power consumption.

UNISOC is excited to introduce our upgraded 4G smartwatch platform — #UNISOCW307. Based on ultra-low-power architecture design, the W307 adopts the high-precision positioning scheme and highly integrated 4G full-network, bringing users a richer intelligent experience. pic.twitter.com/ItO26LeaOe

Other features of the processor include HD video calling, sub-meter high precision positioning, and a highly-integrated 4G full-network.

There is no info on when the processor will appear in a commercial device neither is there any news of which brands have signed up for it.

UNISOC’s chipsets are used in various products from brands including Nokia, Xiaomi, Hisense, and Lava.
