However,<a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/vernee/"> Vernee</a> has finally announced that the Vernee Apollo flagship will be unveiled this month and it will go on sale from December.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-VR-Flagship-featured.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-107700" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-VR-Flagship-featured.jpg?x10805" alt="vernee apollo 01" width="896" height="592" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-VR-Flagship-featured.jpg 896w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-VR-Flagship-featured-300x198.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-VR-Flagship-featured-768x507.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 896px) 100vw, 896px" /></a></p>
<p>We already know a lot about the Apollo, but here&#8217;s a recap of the specs of the device. The flagship will feature MediaTek&#8217;s Helio X25 deca-core chipset clocked at 2.5GHz with Mali-T880 GPU. We are still unsure of the RAM inside, but a 6GB RAM option at launch. There should be 64GB of eMMC storage on board as well.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">RELATED: </span><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/08/05/vernee-apollo-threatens-xiaomi-redmi-pro/">Vernee Apollo with Helio X25 will threaten Xiaomi Redmi Pro</a></strong></p>
<p>The Vernee Apollo is being called as the first Mediatek VR flagship, mainly because it will come with a high resolution of 2560x1440px (2K) with 541 ppi pixel density, making it ideal for using in VR headsets. This could also mean that Vernee may release a VR headset of its own soon, but we are not quite sure about it. As for the rear camera, the phone should come with a 20MP Sony IMX230 sensor.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-Flagship.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-107699" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-Flagship.jpg?x10805" alt="vernee-apollo-flagship" width="617" height="561" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-Flagship.jpg 617w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Vernee-Apollo-Flagship-300x273.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 617px) 100vw, 617px" /></a></p>
<p>The exact price of the Vernee Apollo is still not known, but the company is known for pricing its devices reasonably, so we can expect the same with its upcoming release. Earlier, it was said that the phone would go on sale for around $399, but we are waiting for official confirmation from the company.</p>
<p>Stay tuned for more updates on the Apollo flagship.</p>

The company will release the phone sometime in April, which is just a few weeks away. Today, it released a new video comparing the $129.99 Vernee Thor with the iPhone 6S, claiming that its phone delivers a stellar display performance.</p>
<p>In this regard, Vernee released an on-screen comparison of the devices, as well as an off-screen comparison to show the performance of its upcoming handset.</p>
<p>You can check out the video below for the on-screen comparison between the Thor and the iPhone 6S. In the video, the phone does pretty well, coming with higher color saturation and warmer tones. The video tests different colors, dark and light shades, viewing angles and a number of other parameters.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Vernee Thor vs iPhone 6s: Screen Viewing Effect Comparison" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6e3z_OJWJzU?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Coming to the off-screen test, Vernee Thor is pitted against the iPhone 6S and the Moto X flagships. The company seems to have performed a thorough off screen analysis of the three phones, showing that the Vernee Thor does a good job in the comparison.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the official comparison released by the company:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Off-screen Comparison:</strong></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77530" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-featured-1.jpg?x10805" alt="vernee thor compared" width="750" height="570" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-featured-1.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-featured-1-300x228.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-featured-1-600x456.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p><strong>Scenario 1:</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Crosswise comparison in highlight environment: </strong></p>
<p>With screen reflection totally avoided, we let the 3 devices display the unobservable off-screen integration.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77531" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-comparison.png?x10805" alt="vernee thor comparison" width="736" height="498" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-comparison.png 736w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-comparison-300x203.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/vernee-thor-comparison-600x406.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>We can see from the close shot that iPhone 6s has the best off-screen integration, Vernee Thor comes second, and the Moto X the last.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77529" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2-1.jpg?x10805" alt="2" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2-1.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2-1-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Scenario 2:</strong></p>
<p>360°light environment, symmetrical contrast with equal light projecting on each device</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77523" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/22.png?x10805" alt="22" width="746" height="497" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/22.png 746w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/22-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/22-600x400.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 746px) 100vw, 746px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>From top to bottom: Moto X, Vernee Thor, iPhone 6S</strong></p>
<p>In this scenario, Vernee Thor and iPhone 6s have almost the same off-screen integration, and Moto X lags much behind.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77528" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/222.jpg?x10805" alt="222" width="750" height="493" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/222.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/222-300x197.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/222-600x394.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/222-540x355.jpg 540w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/222-730x480.jpg 730w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Scenario 3:</strong></p>
<p>With light projection on the top of the three 2.5D screens, iPhone 6s and Vernee Thor both win also in terms of viewing effects.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77522" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/3.png?x10805" alt="3" width="751" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/3.png 751w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/3-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/3-600x399.png 600w" sizes="(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px" /></p>
<p>From top to bottom: Vernee Thor, iPhone 6S, Moto X</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Scenario 4:</strong></p>
<p>Single-side highlights projecting equally on the three devices, and the result is obvious.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77526" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/4.jpg?x10805" alt="4" width="750" height="496" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/4.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/4-300x198.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/4-600x397.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>From top to bottom: iPhone 6S , Vernee Thor, Moto X</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77525" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/44.jpg?x10805" alt="44" width="750" height="478" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/44.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/44-300x191.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/44-600x382.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>From top to bottom：Moto X, Vernee Thor, iPhone 6S</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-77524" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/444.jpg?x10805" alt="444" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/444.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/444-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/444-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>From top to bottom：Moto X, iPhone 6S, Vernee Thor</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>So, what do you think about the Vernee Thor? It costs $129.99 and comes with the following specs:</p>
