ViewSonic launches new 15.6 inch 4K Portable Monitor with an OLED display

ViewSonic has just unveiled a new monitor that is set to launch in the market soon. The company’s latest product is a portable monitor that features some notable specifications. So let’s have a look.

ViewSonic announces VX1622-4K Portable Monitor with a 15.6 inch OLED display

As the name suggests, the device is features a compact design with a display size that is in line with standard laptops, which is a 15.6 inch screen. This is an OLED panel that supports 4K resolution. This screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9, 3840x2160px resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 440cd/㎡ max brightness, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

Talking a bit about its design, the portable monitor has minimal bezels on three sides and a notable chin at the bottom. The upcoming portable monitor is quite responsive with a 1ms response time. The VX1622-4K portable monitor is even a great option for creative professionals as it offers a color depth of 1.07 billion along with 100 percent Adobe RGB and 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut coverage.

It even comes with HDR true black 500, and for connectivity, the portable monitor houses a Mini HDMI port and USB Type C port. For audio, the new ViewSonic portable monitor is equipped with a twin 1W speaker system, similar to the VA2409 monitor that was launched by the company just last month.. Unfortunately, the pricing and availability of this monitor is still unclear. But the brand is expected to launch this device in the market soon.

ViewSonic launches 62 series 4K & 2K HDR10 monitors in China

ViewSonic has just released their new 62 series of desktop monitors featuring USB Type-C ports and support for 65W reverse charging. The series includes VX2462-2K-MHDU, VX2762-2K-MHDU, VX2762-4K-MHDU among other models.

VX2462-2K-MHDU

The ViewSonic VX2462-2K-MHDU comes with a 23.8-inch Quad HD IPS screen, a 75Hz refresh rate, and a 5ms response time. The monitor offers HDR10 support and comes with a Blue light filter.

The monitor has thin bezzles of three sides and a thick chin and has a built-in dual 2W speaker setup. It features multiple connectors including an HDMI 1.4 port, A Display Port 1.2, Three USB 3.0 Ports (1 up,2 down), and an Audio Out port. The display weighs 5.4KGs with the stand.

VX2762-2K-MHDU

Similar to the 24-inch variant, the ViewSonic VX2762-2K-MHDU is a Quad HD IPS panel with a 2560 x 1440p resolution, 75Hz refresh rate, and 5ms response time. The main difference here is that this one is a 27-inch monitor. The monitor also offers HDR10 support and has an 8bit color depth capable of outputting 16.7 million different colors.

The VX2762-2K-MHDU is the same design-wise and comes with a dual 2W spearer setup. It gets an HDMI 1.4 port, A Display Port 1.2, Three USB 3.0 Ports (1 up,2 down), and an Audio Out port. The display weighs 6.47kg including the stand.

VX2762-4K-MHDU

The VX2762-4K-MHDU is a 27-inch 4K IPS monitor which has a 3840 x 2160p resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The monitor has a maximum response time of 5ms and offers HDR support along with a blue light filter and flicker-free LED backlighting.

The monitor has two inbuilt 2W speakers and a number of ports on the back which include two HDMI 2.0 ports, a Display Port 1.2, a USB Type-C port capable of reverse charging, three USB 3.0 ports, and an Audio Out port. The monitor weighs 6.5Kg with the stand and 4.6Kg without it.

Pricing and Availability

ViewSonic has debuted the 62 series monitors in the Chinese market and it is unknown if these monitors will be made available in other markets or not. The VX2462-2K-MHDU, the VX2762-2K-MHDU, and the VX2762-4K-MHDU are priced at 1399 yuan ($221), 1499 yuan ($236), and 1799 yuan ($284) respectively.

ViewSonic VX series 4K gaming monitors launched with 144Hz displays & stereo speakers

ViewSonic today announced the launch of two gaming monitors – VX2880-4K-PRO and VX3220-4K-PRO, as part of its VX series in China. Both have IPS displays with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K) and a three-sided micro-frame design. The refresh rate is ultra-smooth at 144Hz. The monitors have two HDMI 2.1 ports.

The ViewSonic VX3220-4K-PRO is sized at 31.5 inches and has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 (via: IT Home). Its brightness level is 400 cd/m²and it has HDR 400 certification. The display is 10 bit, meaning it can theoretically display 1 billion colors. The color gamut covers 100% sRGB, 83% AdobeRGB, and the color accuracy stands at ΔE<2. The monitor’s response time is ultra-fast at just 1ms.

Additionally, the product supports adaptive sync technology to reduce tearing. It is equipped with multiple interfaces of DP and Type-C, supports one-line connection function, and provides up to 65W PD power supply. Last but not the least, the monitor has 5 USB 3.0 ports and built-in 2W stereo surround speakers.

In comparison, the ViewSonic VX2880-4K-PRO monitor has a screen size of 28-inches. The refresh rate is similar though and can be overclocked to up to 150Hz. Its response time is 1ms just like its larger sibling. The monitor is also equipped with an atmospheric lighting system to enhance the gaming experience. It supports Type-C first-wire connection and provides a power supply of 65W.

But that’s not all. Both the ViewSonic VX series monitors come with support for PIP and PBP split-screen functions along with the switching of multiple display modes at just a single button press. They’re also equipped with a lifting and rotating base, a quick-release bracket, four-direction adjustment. They can be hung on walls as well.

The ViewSonic VX3220-4K-PRO and VX2880-4K-PRO have already hit the shelves, with the former being priced at 6,499 Yuan (~$1,004) while the latter will cost you 4,999 Yuan (~$773).
