Vivo went official with its first gaming smartphone dubbed Vivo iQOO in China in March. The model came equipped with the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and for memory it is available in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB versions. The BBK subsidiary later announced a 12GB + 128GB variant in China. The device has been on reservations since April 13 and is now set to go on sale tomorrow (April 23) in China via Vivo’s official website.

The new variant will be available in Black and has a price tag of 3698 yuan ($550). This price tag potentially makes the iQOO the cheapest 12GB+128GB variant around.

The Vivo iQOO features a 6.41-inch AMOLED waterdrop-style notched display that supports full HD+ resolution. It is equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader. The Snapdragon 855 mobile platform drives the phone along with 4,000mAh battery. The device comes with 44W super fast charging can charge the iQOO to 50% in 15 minutes, and to 100% in 45 minutes. In addition, iQOO is equipped with a multi-layer heat dissipation structure consisting of a 10,000-degree thermal conductivity heat pipe, a curable thermally conductive gel, a high thermal conductivity aluminum alloy frame, and a multi-layer composite graphite heat-dissipating film to achieve better temperature rise control.

The rear shell of the smartphone features a vertical triple camera setup. It includes a Sony IMX363 12-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For capturing selfies, it is equipped with a 12-megapixel front camera.
