In India, the Vivo NEX comes in Star Diamond Black color that uses holographic technology and a metal frame. This is done using micro-stepping motors with independent drive ICs and precision control algorithms.

The device comes with a third-generation in-display fingerprint scanning technology that improves the screen unlock time by 10 percent and increases the overall experience of phone unlocking. Connectivity options on the devices include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.

We really have had enough of leaks already about the Vivo NEX and would prefer to finally meet the device. That would happen in a couple of hours time as the NEX models will go official on June 12. Ahead of that, we have sotted another leaked details of the NEX.

Previous leaks about the Vivo NEX had shown that there will be a NEX, NEX S and NEX A model but the specs of the NEX A has been elusive. In this case, the key specs of all three models are listed. This new leak indicates that NEX A and NEX S are both Snapdragon 710-powered variants while the Vivo NEX is the Snapdragon 845 flagship model. All three models will come with a full-screen bezel-less design which is one of the major highlights of the NEX models. The screen ratio is said to go p 95%. There is also a pop-up camera on all models, a feature that is already confirmed.

The leaked specs sheet shows the models will come with a 4000mAh battery and the charging interface is a USB Type-C interface. This could be the first Vivo model to come with Type-C since the Vivo APEX is yet to go official, that is if it will ever be commercialized. There are rumours that the NEX is the commercial version of the APEX but Vivo is yet to confirm that. The phones are also expected to come with Vivo’s JOVI AI technology. The cameras will also have AI capabilities and this includes the dual rear cameras. The Vivo NEX will redefine bezel-less concept with its design and we just can’t wait to see if its design is exactly as we have seen in leaks and official renders.

BBK subsidiary, Vivo last week confirmed that it would launch the concept NEX smartphone in an event holding on June 12. The Vivo NEX is expected to be the mass production version of the Vivo APEX concept phone which was unveiled a couple of months back. The Chinese manufacturer recently released a teaser poster on its official Weibo account which re-echoes the presence of a pop-up selfie camera on the NEX. The company has now released a new poster which basically confirms the presence of a pop-up selfie shooter.

The teaser poster contains the render of the full-screen device with the selfie camera already popped up. The crisp clear picture on the display obviously represents how powerful the selfie camera output would be. The poster also shows the device will indeed be a truly bezel-less model with no notch at the upper edge. The sides also look completely bezel-less while the chin has just a minimal level of bezels. 

As a reminder, the NEX’s selfie camera is hidden on the top bezel from view and it comes up automatically when a user selects the front-facing camera option inside the camera app. When not required, the pop-up camera can hide inside the top bezel. When the feature was demonstrated on the Vivo APEX phone, the company had claimed that it can pop-up in just 0.8 seconds. That could also be retained on the NEX smartphone. The poster also points at the presence of artificial intelligence (AI) on the device.
