Vivo S15e was announced last week in China. As scheduled, the S15e is now available for purchase starting from today in the home market. Here’s everything on the pricing and specifications of this device.

Vivo S15e price

The Vivo S15e comes in three configurations, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at 1,999 Yuan (~$302), 2,299 Yuan (~$348), and 2,499 Yuan (~$378), respectively. It comes in three colors: black, gold, and blue.

Vivo S15e specifications

The Vivo S15e has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It boots to the Android 11 OS and OriginOS Ocean UI. For security, it features an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The Exynos 1080 chipset is present under the hood of the device. The device is equipped with 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It lacks a microSD card slot.

The front of the Vivo S15e features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear shell has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The Vivo S15e packs a 4,700mAh battery, which carries support for 66W fast charging.

Currently, the Vivo S15e is exclusively available in China. There is no word on whether it will be released in other markets. Speculations are rife that Vivo is working on other S15 series of smartphones, such as the Vivo S15 Pro and Vivo S15. Past reports have claimed that the Vivo S15 Pro will feature an OLED screen and be powered by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. It may house a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS. On the other hand, the vanilla Vivo S15 may feature the same 6.62-inch OLED screen, a 4,580mAh battery, and the Snapdragon 870 chipset.

Earlier today, Vivo held a launch event in China for their latest flagship X80 series smartphones. The brand also launched the Vivo S15e smartphone at this event. So let’s take a look at its specifications and features in detail.

Design & Display

Design-wise, the Vivo S15e features a flat back panel with a rectangular camera module that slightly protrudes from the back. It has two vertically aligned circular cutouts to house a triple camera setup. The top houses the bigger primary camera while the bottom cutout houses two cameras. The LED flash is present on the right side of the camera module.

The device has rounded edges housing the power button and volume rockers on the right side. On the front, the device has a 6.4-inch waterdrop notch style AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The panel has a 90Hz refresh rate and 409ppi pixel density. The display also houses an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

Specs

Powering the device is the Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. The SoC comes paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device packs a 4700 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. The phone runs Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, the phone also features a face ID as an added security option.

Cameras

For optics, the device comes with a triple camera setup headlined by a 50MP main camera sensor. Along with the primary camera, the Vivo S15e has a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera onboard. On the front, we get a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Pricing & Availability

Vivo has launched the device in three colors – Peach, Blue, and Black. Its pricing for the different variants is as follows:

• 8GB + 128GB – 1999 Yuan ($304)
• 8GB + 256GB – 2299 Yuan ($350)
  
• 12GB + 256GB – 2499 Yuan ($391)

The device is available for pre-order right now in China. The first sale will commence on April 30.

The Vivo X80 series is the successor to last year’s fan favourite Vivo X70 series. The Vivo X80 series will have 3 important models in the lineup, namely the Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+.

So before the official launch event, we compiled all the highlighting features that we know about all the 3 Vivo X80 devices so far. 

Vivo X80

The anticipated highlight of the Vivo X80 would be its cameras. The device is sporting a triple camera setup that is rumoured to feature Sony’s latest IMX866 50MP sensor with OIS stabilisation. The main sensor is said to be revolutionary with its 1/1.56-inch sensor and RGBW colour arrangement. Paired with the main sensor are the 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and the 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The device is also believed to come with Vivo’s new V1+ ISP to process better photos at a shorter shutter time.

The Vivo X80 is also to be equipped with a large 6.78 inch FHD+ 120Hz E5 AMOLED display on the front with a centred hole punch housing the selfie camera. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of fast UFS 3.1 storage.

Battery-wise, the Vivo X80 will have a 4500mAh with 80W fast charging support. The device is expected to come with Android 12 out of the box.

Vivo X80 Pro

The Vivo X80 Pro features an upgraded camera setup from the standard Vivo X80. It will house a large quad-camera module on the rear that includes a 50MP Samsung GNV 1G OIS main sensor, 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 12MP telephoto shooter, and an 8MP periscope lens that offers 5x optical and 60x digital zoom as well. Notably, the X80 Pro will also come with the V1+ ISP and Zeiss branded lens on the rear. 

Powering the Vivo X80 Pro instead is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage. The device might be powered by a larger 4,700mAh battery pack that supports 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. 

Vivo X80 Pro+

The Vivo X80 Pro+ will be featuring the most premium camera setup amongst them all. The device will be rocking a quad-camera island equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX866 OIS main sensor, a 48MP IMX598 sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, and lastly, a 50MP JN2 sensor. The device is also expected to sport a 44MP selfie camera housed within the punch hole.

For the high-end flagship bells and whistles, the Vivo X80 Pro+ will be packing a 6.78-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and a generous 4700mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support and 50W wireless fast charging support.

Vivo has officially opened online reservations for its upcoming Vivo S15e handset in China on JD.com. On the reservation page, Vivo has finally confirmed several of the leaked specs that were reported by our team at Gizmochina last week.

The main feature that Vivo confirmed is the chipset powering the Vivo S15e. On the official Vivo flagship JD.com store, Vivo had officially confirmed via the reservation page that the Vivo S15e will be powered by Samsung’s 5nm Exynos 1080 chipset. The Exynos 1080 chipset is the same one used on last year’s China variant of the flagship Vivo X70 Pro which boasted a score of over 700k on Antutu.

Vivo also confirms via the page, details such as the memory configurations, charging speeds, colour options, and camera setup of the Vivo S15e. 

First, it is confirmed that the Vivo S15e will be available in 3 colour options: Black, Blue and Peach.

Next, the Vivo S15e is confirmed to be available in memory configurations of up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The device is confirmed to be equipped with Vivo’s 66W fast charging solution, which Vivo claims to resolve your battery worries within 20 minutes of charging. And last, Vivo confirms that the Vivo S15e will be equipped with a 50MP main sensor to capture realistic photos with dynamic depth and crisp details.

So far, the leaks reported turned out to be true for the Vivo S15e. The report last week also mentioned that the Vivo S15e has a 6.4-inch FHD 90Hz Waterdrop Notch Style AMOLED display for smooth scrolling and a 16MP front camera housed within the notch. Keeping the lights on the Vivo S15e would be its generous 4700mAh battery and the device is rumoured to run Vivo’s OriginOS Ocean operating system based on Android 12 out of the box.

Two of them will happen in China, six in India, and the remaining one in Europe. Though the number of conferences seems more, most of them are for devices that are already official and making their way to key markets.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

Oppo K10 Series

The Oppo K10 series launch event will take place on April 24 (Sunday). The conference will begin at 2:30 PM CST. It will be live-streamed on Weibo and other popular Chinese video streaming platforms.

The company is expected to announce two models in the lineup, namely Oppo K10 5G and Oppo K10 Pro 5G. You can check out our roundup article to learn everything about them.

According to teasers and leaks, the vanilla K10 5G will come with a 120Hz LCD screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC, and 67W fast charging support. Whereas, the K10 Pro 5G is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, and 80W fast charging support.

Motorola Moto G52

The Motorola Moto G52 went official in Europe earlier this month. It is now scheduled to debut in India on April 25 (Monday). The phone will be made official at 12 PM IST via a social media announcement and press release. It is rumored to cost around ₹20,000 in the county.

The main highlights of the Moto G52 include a 6.6-inch FHD+ 90Hz  pOLED display, Qualcomm snapdragon 680 chip, and near-stock Android 12. It also comes with features like Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers, a 50MP triple camera system, a 5,00mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging, and more.

Realme Narzo 50A Prime

The first Realme event of next week is for the Indian launch of Realme Narzo 50A Prime. It is planned for April 25 (Monday) and will be live-streamed from 12:30 PM IST on the firm’s official Youtube channel.

The Realme Narzo 50A Prime is already official in multiple Southeast Asian markets. It is the first budget smartphone from the company to ship without a charger.

It arrives with an FHD+ display (LCD), UNISOC T612 chip, 50MP main camera, 5,000mAh battery, 18W fast charging support, and more.

Vivo X80 Series and Vivo S15e

Just a few days back, Vivo hosted an event in China to announce its first foldable, tablet, and phablet. The company has now scheduled yet another conference for April 25 (Monday) to debut the Vivo X80 series. The event will begin at 7 PM CST and will be live-streamed on Weibo and other well-known Chinese video streaming platforms.

Going by the leaks and teaser, the lineup will consist of three models, namely Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+. These handsets will be also accompanied by another device called Vivo S15e.

As the Vivo X80 family will be the successor of the Vivo X70 lineup, it will offer high-end features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset,  Vivo V1+ ISP chip, LTPO AMOLED display, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Zeiss-powered camera system, customizes camera sensors, and more. Poco F4 GT

Poco will be heading a conference to announce the Poco F4 GT on April 26 (Tuesday). The event will begin at 8 PM GMT+8 and will be live-streamed on the company’s official Youtube channel.

The upcoming Poco F4 GT is nothing but the Redmi K50G (aka Redmi K50 Gaming Edition) sold in China. Hence, it will arrive with features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, magnetic shoulder buttons, 120Hz OLED display, quad speakers, 120W fast charging, and more.

The gaming smartphone will be accompanied by Poco Watch, Poco Buds Pro, and Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition. The brand’s first smartwatch and truly wireless earphones are merely rebranded Redmi Watch 2 and Redmi AirDots 3 Pro.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

Xiaomi has scheduled a conference in India called the ‘Xiaomi Spring Summer Flagship Event’ for April 27 (Wednesday). The event will be live-streamed on the company’s official Youtube channel from 12 PM IST.

The main star of the show will be the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which made its initial debut in China at the end of December. The flagship smartphone will be also accompanied by Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Smart TV 5A.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro will be India’s first Xiaomi (Mi) Pro series smartphone. At the same time, the Xiaomi Pad 5 will be the first tablet from the firm for the country in several years. Finally, the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A will be the successor of the hugely popular Mi TV 4A.

Apart from the television, the reaming two products are months old and are on sale in multiple regions for a long time.

iQOO Z6 Pro 5G and iQOO Z6 4G

iQOO will be holding a launch conference in India on April 27 (Wednesday). The brand has confirmed to unveil a device called iQOO Z6 Pro 5G. According to leaks, it will be joined by iQOO Z6 4G.

The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G will be a mid-range smartphone with features, such as an FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, dual stereo speakers, 64MP triple camera setup, 66W fast charging, and more.

Whereas, the iQOO Z6 4G will be a budget smartphone offering specs like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, FHD+ AMOLED display, 50MP primary camera, and more. 

Oneplus 10R and Oneplus Nord CE 2 Lite

Oneplus has a launch event planned for April 28 in India. It will be live-streamed on the brand’s official Youtube Channel starting from 7:30 PM.

The company has confirmed to announce two phones and a new pair of truly wireless earbuds at this event. One of these handsets will be the Oneplus 10R, the global version of Oneplus Ace that went official in China recently. The highlights of this product are 150W fast charging support and Mediatek Dimensity 8100 chip.

The second phone will be Oneplus Nord CE 2 Lite. It will come with an FHD+ 120Hz display (LCD), Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, 5,000mAh battery, 33W fast charging, and more. Finally, the earbuds will be called Oneplus Nord Buds and they are nothing but rebadged Oneplus Buds N.

Realme GT Neo 3

Realme’s second launch event of the week will take place on April 29 in India. It will be live-streamed by the brand on its official Youtube channel starting from 12:30 PM IST.

The brand will be announcing the Realme GT Neo 3, which went official in China last month. It is the world’s first smartphone with 150W fast charging. The Oneplus Ace (Oneplus 10R) is a tweaked version of it. Hence, these three handsets have a similar set of features.

The smartphone will be accompanied by other products like Realme Pad Mini, Realme Buds Q2s, and Realme Smart TV X Full HD.

We had just reported on the full specifications of the Vivo X80 Pro being leaked ahead of its April 25 launch. Now, the key specs of the Vivo S15e, which is also launching on the same date, have also been revealed. So, let’s have a look.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the news arrives from known tipster Ishan Agarwal, who also revealed the specifications of the X80 Pro as well. Reportedly, the smartphone will sport a 6.4 inch AMOLED display that has a FHD+ resolution that has a pixel density of 409 PPI, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front also houses a 16 megapixel selfie shooter on a waterdrop notch that offers face unlock alongside an in display fingerprint scanner.

On the rear, the device features a 50 megapixel primary camera paired with a 13 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. Under the hood, the Vivo S15e packs the Exynos 1080 SoC from Samsung along with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The tipster claims that the smartphone will be powered by a large 4,700mAh battery pack that also supports 66W fast charging as well.

The smartphone will apparently run on Android 12 OS out of the box with the OriginOS Ocean custom skin on top. Furthermore, it will apparently also launch in three color options, which include Peach, Blue, and even Black. Vivo will be launching the Vivo X80 series of smartphones on April 25 in China. Reports have claimed that the lineup will include three models, such as the Vivo S15e, Vivo S15, and Vivo S15 Pro. Rumors have it that the company take off the covers of its next-generation S-series of selfie-focused phones in May. An official listing of the S15e is now available on Vivo China’s website. It confirms that the S15e will debut at 7:00 PM (local time) on April 25 in China. So, it looks like the device may be made official on the same day as the X80 line.

The Vivo S15e is now available for reservations on Vivo China’s website. The listing shows that the device has a teardrop notch display on the front and its back panel has a triple-camera system. The second camera ring has two lenses, whereas the first camera ring houses the primary snapper. The Vivo S15e will be available in black, blue and white colors. In terms of specs, the listing only mentions that it carries support for 66W fast charging.

In all likelihood, the Vivo phone with the V2190A model number that was certified by the 3C and TENAA authorities in China recently will debut in the Chinese market with the Vivo S15e name. The TENAA listing of the phone said that it has a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen with a fingerprint sensor.

The front of the Vivo S15e features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel snapper. The device will run on Android 12 OS and OriginOS UI. The Exynos 1080 chip is likely to power the Vivo S15e. The device may ship with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. It will pack a 4,605mAh (rated value) battery.

While the Vivo S15e will debut this month, the Vivo S15 and Vivo S15 Pro may debut in the next month in China.
